This one was short and (not so) sweet. It was fun, had a bit of suspense, and actually contained an unexpected (for me, anyway) twist at the end. As much as this type of story often has a predictable conclusion, I really didn’t see this one coming. I had mixed feelings about the major characters, but those were more or less resolved by the end of the novel. I enjoyed it, as I’ve enjoyed other books that I’ve read by the author. The writer continues to be one whose books I’ll check out with no hesitation.

This is an entertaining audiobook. The narrator did a fabulous job telling the story in an entertaining way. The story line is very captivating and the twist was crazy! Watch out for that scorned woman!

Another fast paced who-fun-it thriller by Modglin! The ending on this one was a bit of a gasper… so don’t jump to the end. What do you do when the one person you should trust the most ends up being the least trustworthy of them all? That question is answered in this crazy thrill ride. I think a certain someone’s parents would be highly disappointed in their offspring… just saying! Thanks to NetGalley for the early read!

Another amazing book by this author. Always a surprise twist that I never see coming. As this to your “want to read“ pile immediately!

I love a quick read with some crazy twists, even if I saw some of them coming.
I will say, the beginning of this book was painful. The MC Edith is/was a moron and the set up of this book was crazy dumb, but for some reason, it all made for a very twisted enjoyable book.
If you can bare with this book, it gets very entertaining. Now I want to read her other books.
Thanks Netgalley and publisher for the digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

Edith is almost positive that her husband is cheating on her.
Again. So she begins snooping, and finds more questions than answers.
The beginning of this one is a bit slow, until it explodes into an unexpected and exciting ending.
Thank you Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for providing an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Edith can't trust her husband. He's cheated before and now she has found photos of another woman on his phone...She knows he won't admit it, so she has to take things into her own hands and find out the truth herself.
Modglin really makes you hate the husband, Joe. Man this guy was a scumbag. I was dying to know what he was really up to and if he would have an explanation for himself.
There is nothing more addicting than a Modglin thriller. This is one of many I have read and I have yet to stumble upon a bad one. They are full of twists and turns and leave you wanting more at the end of each chapter. These fit the bill for a classic popcorn thriller.
I listened to the audiobook on this one and really enjoyed it. The narrator did a great job laying the story out.

Tell Me The Truth begins with a good premise -- Edith discovers that husband is cheating on her (again) and she sets out to find out information about the woman. Edith goes to great lengths and learns way more than she bargained for. The audiobook wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. I stayed interested enough that I listened until the end and I could not have figured out the twists, which is always a good sign in a book, but at times I found myself not caring a lot about what was happening or simply getting irritated at the characters for what they were doing. So this was not a slam dunk for me, but I am sure there are other people who would love this book, so I would not just listen to my review. I would give it 2.5 stars if that was an option!
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for the opportunity to listen to this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.

Tell Me the Truth was a great read by Kiersten Modglin. Edith finds photos of a mysterious woman on her husband Joe’s phone. She desperately searches for answers that quickly becomes a spiral of obsession. She is determined to make sure this is the last time that Joe lies to her. It seems like Edith is left with more and more questions and no answers. She finds herself living a double life and starts telling secrets and lies of her own. Edith must make a choice about her future and her marriage when she finds the final piece of the puzzle. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by the author.

Tell Me the Truth is a domestic drama that makes you think you know exactly how it's going to unfold.
Husband breaks trust.
Wife goes crazy.
Shit storm brews.
And, I mean, that is somewhat accurate... but with just a few curve balls thrown in there for fun, of course.
Edith's husband Joe seems to be caught red-handed in a lie, which quickly causes Edith to assume the worst. He's hiding something and she is determined to dig up his secrets, no matter what it takes. A little lying and scheming turns to obsession as she pushes to find answers, but she soon discovers the answers are far more twisted than she ever could have anticipated.
Author Kiersten Modglin took us on a journey to really feel every emotion our main character had to endure. I felt like I could relate to Edith on so many levels, I rooted for her and continued to feel compassion for her as she struggled through so many obstacles.
I do have to say some parts seemed almost too obvious and made me roll my eyes.... just a bit unrealistic at times.
Overall, very entertaining and kept me wondering just how/when it would all blow up. Definitely held my interest and made for a fun audiobook to listen to.

Tell Me The Truth is a whirlwind of a domestic thriller. I listened to the audio edition, and while the narration was good, I sped it up so I could get to the exciting conclusion faster.
The plot was complex, detailed, and just a tad bit ….err, well, a little tough to believe. We have the mustache-twirlingly evil and diabolical husband. Why so evil? Who knows!. And I really can’t tell you more or else it will be a big fat spoiler, and none of us wants that.
Not my favorite by the ever-so-talented Kiersten Modglin but still! Let’s be real here: she knocks most of her competition in the genre out of the water by a longshot. Even if she might have to jump a few sharks to get there sometimes.

🌙𝐵𝑜𝑜𝑘 𝐵𝑙𝑢𝑟𝑏: “It’s not the first time Edith’s husband, Joe, has lied to her.
But it will be the last.
When she finds photos of a mysterious woman on her husband’s phone, the heartbreaking implications are all too familiar, and Edith sets out to discover her identity. What starts as a desperate search for answers quickly becomes a terrifying spiral of obsession and subterfuge.
With each new secret uncovered about her life, her marriage, and the man she loves, Edith is left with even more questions.
What exactly is Joe hiding?
Who is the woman in his photos?
Refusing to accept Joe's lies any longer, Edith soon finds herself living a double life, telling lies and keeping secrets of her own. When she uncovers a final piece of the puzzle, something darker and more gut-wrenching than even she could’ve anticipated, Edith is forced to make a choice about the future of her marriage.
The truth always comes at a price.
Sometimes, that price is your life.”
🌙𝑅𝑒𝑣𝑖𝑒𝑤: I was looking for a super fast, full of twist book to listen to while doing laundry 😅 Book was exactly as expected; I have read Modglin before and all her books are super twisty, so it was a No-brainer to pick this one. Although, entertaining not memorable.
🌙𝑁𝑎𝑟𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛: Narration was ok. Sometimes it was difficult to identify who was who while narrating, but overall ok.

I was very disappointed in this book. I've now read several of Modglin's books and I absolutely consider myself a fan. But for this one, I struggled. A lot. I didn't like Joe and Edith. Their relationship never felt natural, and there was no reason I could find to empathize with either of them. Unfortunately, this story fell short of my expectations but I am not finished with the author!

Edith is Joe’s second wife. Their marriage isn’t perfect and he’s shown his true colors by having an affair before, but she stayed - out of loyalty? out of hope he could change? out of fear? So when Edith begins to find hints his behavior is repeating itself, or never stopped at all, Edith becomes obsessed with finding out the truth at all costs. Once a cheater always a cheater, right?
I flew through this one in a few days. It was easy to follow from one POV with minimal characters and scenes and a short, linear timeline. I enjoyed the narrator’s accent. However, it was unrealistic and nothing special.. just a short story about a poor mentally damaged wife that decides to stay on the sinking ship of an abusive marriage to a cheating dirtbag. I think I am beginning to realize domestic suspense is not really my thing. This is my first Kiersten Modglin and I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews about her novels so I’ll still give some of her other works a shot but this one just missed the mark for me.
Thank you to NetGalley, Dreamscape Media, and the author for an advance listener’s copy in exchange for an honest review!

I really wanted to like this book because I typically enjoy Kiersten Modglin. This is by far the most disappointing book I’ve read of hers. It was okay—I enjoyed parts, but it was predictable and the twists fell flat. Edith finds suggestive photos on her husband’s phone, and he tells her it’s a prank from his friend. The story revolves around that, and Edith isn’t really a character that I could get behind. Overall, this story was pretty meh for me.

Liar, Liar, pants on fire. That is what I thought when I saw the title of this book. You just know someone is lying in this book. If fact, that someone is Edith's husband, Joe. He has lied to her in the past. When she finds pictures of another woman on his phone, she knows he is up to no good and she does her best to find out who her husband is involved with.
The more she searches, the more she questions, the more she questions....
This proved to be a very fast listen. I enjoyed the audiobook and the narrator. There is a lot of drama going on in this book which held my interest. I found this to be entertaining and fun. Of course, there were some things that made me shake my head and roll my eyes.
But overall, I enjoyed this. Will I remember it in months to come? Probably not, but it makes for fun listening.
Thank you to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own.

When Edith finds photos of another woman on her husband's phone-- not for the first time--- she decides to find out for herself what's going on. As she delves into her husband's life, she finds that she may be inadvertently digging her own grave.
Ultimately, I really enjoyed this book because the ending came through with a surprise I didn't see coming. However, this one wasn't my favorite Kiersten Modglin book because literally of the characters are unlikeable and the narrator didn't help with that.

This was my first Kierstin Modglin book and I've heard good things about her. This one was a super quick, fast-paced thriller with a few good twists and turns. The twists were a bit predictable but didn't take away from my enjoyment of the story. I enjoyed it and plan to read more from her. I've seen some people say that they weren't sure about the ending, but I quite liked it. I thought it was very tense and satisfying. I could really feel the desperation and hurt from Edith and the obsession with getting to the truth seemed very realistic for a woman who finds out her husband is not being truthful with her and has many secrets he's keeping from her.

⭐️⭐️ TELL ME THE TRUTH by Kiersten Modglin (Narrated by Devon Sorvari)
GENRE: Adult Thriller
I really think KM needs to slow down. She seems to crank these books out like there’s no tomorrow. She needs to step back and think about whether what she's writing makes sense. I listened to this book and listened to about half of it with my 22-year-old son in the car, driving him home from college for the summer. I kept huffing and puffing and groaning. He asked me what was wrong and I said, “this book!” He said, “it’s fake!” “But it should be realistic!” I said.
There were so many things that made me roll my eyes while listening to it. Joe was a doltish jerk. So the summary of this story is that Edith’s husband Joe cheated on her about a year ago. She recently came across some nudey photos and a dating app on his phone which he claims he knows nothing about. **Insert eyeroll for stupid husband.** She doesn’t believe him. So here’s the jerk part…he gets mad at her for not believing him. And not just once. Basically the whole first 75% of the book is her wishy washy thoughts and conversations with her best friend Dan wondering if he’s lying and then Joe being mad because she doesn’t believe him. It’s like Fred Flintstone trying to drive a car…the story just spins in place. There’s so much gaslighting, unnecessary anger, unbelievable scenarios, and utter nonsense. Yet, I wanted to stick around to see the big twist. And believe it or not I liked it! That’s all. The execution was lacking, and the way it unfolded -- gah -- was like she forgot to tell us what happened and then had the characters reveal a little at a time. I think it was written like the characters got together and planned what was happening behind our backs.
I really want to like KM because I see people positively talking about her books all the time. But I need her to stop and think about what she’s writing. I’m not trying to be bossy or harsh. I just feel like she makes a rough draft, turns it in, her editors stamp their approval without reading, it goes to press, and is popular because it has her name on it. This isn’t my first KM book and I’ll give her another try because they are fairly fast, and I really do want to know what the twisty ending is going to be. Am I being too picky?
The narrator did a pretty good job of reading the book--except for when she read Dan’s part--that accent was just too much! :)
Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an audiobook ARC of this title for review.

An entertaining domestic noir with a solid narrator. A recommended purchase for collections where the genre is popular.
