There were a lot of twists and eye rolls in this one. Edith finds pictures on her husband's phone and a dating app and when she confronts him he denies they are his telling her it must be his friend playing a prank on him. He cheated on her before and he is definitely lying and she sets out to prove it. She finds the woman and goes to work as a waitress at the same diner and low and behold the parallels of their lives are astounding. When this woman now is pregnant she has to take action and confront her and, whoa! that is when the eye rolls really start happening.

Tell Me the Truth feels more like a domestic suspense than a mystery / thriller. The story is about the marriage of Edith and Joe as they have been rebuilding after Joe's affair. When Edith finds photos of another women on Joe's phone, the story takes off.
The author did a great job injecting small hints throughout the book as to the truth of what was lying just under the surface. While I was able to guess some of the twists along the way, I didn't guess the final twist.
Unfortunately, I didn't really connect with any of the three main charactors. However, I loved Ediths best friend, Dan - there wasn't enough of him and I'd love to read a book about his life!
While I did enjoy the story and am grateful for the opportunity to review it, I never felt completely hooked.
Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media LLC for this audiobook.

What do you do when your husband cheats on you again but won’t own up to it? Well, in this book, Edith decides to start living a double life herself to catch her husband living a double life.
While the story was fast-paced and there were twists at every turn, it started to feel like too many twists and turns to be believable or realistic. Edith’s obsession in catching her husband caused her to spiral out of control and she became a frustrating character to me. This wasn’t the first time her husband had cheated in their short time of being married so ti throw away her life to prove a point instead of just leaving him really bothered me.
Then throwing in the fact that Edith finds out that not only is she pregnant, but the other woman is pregnant too, just took the absurdity over the edge for me. While the story ends with the two women coming together to take down a common enemy, I wish there had been more female empowerment throughout rather than the stereotypical women obsessing and doing crazy things.

This was my second audiobook by Modglin and unfortunately I’ve found out that her writing doesn’t work with my reading style.
I couldn’t connect with any of the characters and found that they all grated on my nerves. I wasn’t at all surprised by where this story went or any twist within. This will be my last attempt to read her books since I can tell we aren’t a good fit. The narration was also just fine.
I know so many people love her books and writing, this is definitely a “me not you” problem.
Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the opportunity to listen to this. I won’t be sharing this review on an social media platforms, just on Netgalley.

Kiersten Modglin delivers another twisty thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat wondering what is going to happen next. Edith’s husband Joe has cheated on her before, so when she finds pictures of another woman on his phone, she is shocked. He promised he would never cheat on her again and denies that the pictures are his. His friend had to have put them on his phone! What?! Edith is on a vendetta to find out what her husband is really up to. She doesn’t believe his lies anymore. Edith’s quest to find the truth had me turning up the speed on the audiobook to listen faster. What Edith’s husband is truly up to and how the book ends is truly shocking. I highly recommend Tell Me the Truth! I can’t wait to read more by Kiersten Modglin!

I want to thank Netgalley and the author for gifting me the audio version. The story was entertaining. I think it was a little bit unrealistic. But if you want a short fast read or listen to this is good for you. Twist at the end.

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for an ARC of this audiobook, set to release on May 10, 2022. The print version is currently available on Kindle Unlimited.
Tell Me The Truth starts out fast and furious, much like KM's other novels. Set in a small town in the deep South, we follow the story of Edith and Joe, married couple with a rocky history of infidelity. Edith has found more evidence of Joe's cheating but he gaslights her into thinking she's insane, and he almost convinces her it's all in her head.
But Edith will not go down this road again.
Told in Edith's unilateral perspective, the story fell a little flat for me. I'm a big Modglin fan but this one lacked the depth., twists, and gasp-inducing moments I love from her books. It did, however, keep me turning the pages, although I was just a wee bit disappointed once I got to the end. Secondly, the narrator, Devon Sorvari, has a pretty significant accent (even to a Georgian like myself) and while appropriate, I found it distracting at times. It also didn't sound completely accurate; to me she sounded like more of a Louisiana gal than Georgia, where the store takes place. While a lot of books alternate perspectives, this one did not do that so if you aren't fond of the narrator, you're in a bit of a pickle because the listener never gets a break from her. For a book with one narrator like this one, I would've preferred a more neutral sound, but that might just be personal preference.
Overall, I might recommend this book to someone a bit newer to psychological thrillers, or a younger reader. To a more experienced book lover, I would definitely rather recommend KMod's "The Arrangement," which is one of my favorite thrillers of all time.
Again, thank you Dreamscape Media for this ARC! Get this audiobook for yourself May 10, 2022!

Thank you Net Galley For this advanced listener copy of Tell Me The Truth. I was not paid or influenced for this honest review.
Okay, let's talk KM. I am not sure why I read her books, but I am continually sucked into the plots. They are a quick very easy read with not much substance. There I said it. They are like drugs (I have never used but I am guessing it is a similar feeling--you get really high--feel good, have a good ride then crash hard, you swear to yourself you will never use again, and next month you see another hit and you go back) You leave feeling unfulfilled and yet I guess the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again hoping for a different result.....so I guess I am insane. I keep reading KM books hoping for a satisfying ending, I have yet to get one=--but it makes me want another one.
I don't know where to begin, Basically the first 200 pages here is all you need to know.
Joe lies.
Edith is obsessed with proving he is a liar.
Repeat (25 times)
Last 72 pages is when the action happens.
And by action I mean something differently finally happens. The puzzle pieces come together, although I was not confused I knew what Joe was doing, I mean duh. I guess you could say Edith puts all the pieces together.
Edith has the typical KM gay best friend thrown into the mix that drops a few one liners, he is way to over the top.
There were some serious plot holes that you have to go along with.
Like okay you have been married to a man and he lives 1/2 the week with his parents because they are ill....why did you never meet them?
I am surprised I gave this 3 stars but of all the KM books this is the most decent. So I am being nice---3 stars. Until next month--haha!

Loved this book! It kept me interested all throughout, and I listened to it all in several hours. (Audiobook)
While I did get rather confused at a couple of points at the ending, (I had to rewind several times to listen to some parts again) it was something that kept my interest and I didn’t want it to end.

After loving my last two Kiersten Modglin books I was honestly a little disappointed in this on. It was fine, but it wasn't anything near the others in terms of twists and excitement. As with her other books you do need to suspend belief to enjoy the story this one I just felt this was a little lacking in comparison.
The story kept me guessing. Was it gaslighting, was she unreliable? I kept going back and forth on what was really truly going on. I was satisfied by the ending, I felt it gave a nice clean finish to everything going on. My only complaint is some more detail of how we got there instead of the bits and pieces we are shared would have been nice and being such a quick read I would have been up for a little more investment and details in the closure.
If you want a quick psychological thriller then check this one out. I did enjoy the narration and the bit of southern to get the scene set and the feel of being in the south for this one.

A young woman finds pictures of another woman on her husband's phone. She is convinced he must be cheating on her again. This time she decides not to believe his lies and punish him. She sets out to find the woman and learn more about her and why her husband is constantly unfaithful. But what she finds out is more than she expected. Bit of a slow start and the book seemed to keep going on about the pictures, but then it started moving a little faster and had an exciting ending with a few twists.

Fantastic listen, despite initial frustration with the main character, that was later cleared up. Plot twists and intrigue as on Kiersten can produce!

Although I always love Kiersten Modglin's books because of the suspense and many twists and turns, this one was lacking that. It was repetitive and unrealistic. From the very beginning, I was questioning the reasoning and decisions taken by the main character. She was clueless and very naive, lacking common sense. The ending seemed rushed and was basically a summary of the plot with an anti-climatic ending. The narrator's voice was lacking emotion and didn't connect well with the story. No animation in her voice - basically reading the script.
Thank you Netgalley for the audiobook.

I didn’t ,love this book, but I did finish it which I typically won’t do if horrible. It wasn’t horrible, it’s storyline was very simple and predictable. Little flat, and not too exciting. I likely wouldn’t recommend.

Edith confronts her husband when she found a revealing photo of a mysterious woman on his phone. He says he doesn't know the woman, but Edith doesn't believe him because he has cheated her before. She decides to find out the woman's identity and her husband's secret.
I expected something more mysterious that you could easily guess, but the surprise I waited until the end never came. It's an okay thriller but doesn't have anything new.
The audiobook is actually quite well made.

Joe & Edith. Seem to be an ordinary couple, working to get ahead. He's cheated on her before and she's working on trusting him again.
She finds photos of a naked woman on her phone, and in true gaslighting fashion, he tries to explain it away. Edith follows him to a restaurant and sees the woman from the pictures. She knows he's lying, but she questions herself. And wonders if he's lying about other things.
Edith takes a job at the restaurant and starts getting to know Amma, the woman in the pictures on his phone. Many twists and turns, lies and secrets come out right up until the end.
Joe is pretty much trash, but Dan was a bright light in this story! We should all have a friend like Dan.
Many thanks to Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for an advance audio copy in exchange for my honest review.

Another excellent story by Kiersten Modglin, I simply cannot recommend her books enough! With twists and turns and I never know how they're going to end! This audiobook book kept me absolutely captivated and the narrator was excellent as well.
Edith believes that her husband, Joe is having an affair, his suspicious activity, random photos on his phone of another woman, even a dating app! And this isn't his first time. Edith does not believe him when he says he's not cheating and sets out to find out what exactly is going on. The reality is mindblowing.

I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a fantastic job! She had me hooked from the beginning. I listened to this one at 2.5 speed so it ended up being around 4.5 hours. With that in mind I enjoyed this one because I didn’t waste my time. If this book would have been 8hours or if I actually read the physical then I think I would be upset. I say that because the book already felt a little too long and repetitive. If you know me then you know I hate repetition! It really erks me. The ending was also very predictable which disappointed me because with this author I always expect some huge twist but sadly didn’t get it with this one or atleast I didn’t find it to be twisty.
One thing I really enjoyed was how real the cheating felt. A few months ago my friend got cheated on by her husband so I could really sympathize with what Edith was going through. No one knows what it’s like until it happens to them. As someone on the side it is always so easy to give advice but we will never understand how hard it truly is to leave someone you love until you're forced to make that decision. I couldn’t imagine living as paranoid as Edith was. The constant fear of never knowing who your husband was truly talking to, always having the need to check his phone, and questioning every decision he made. No one should have to live like that and if you want to find out what happens then read this book!
Overall, this book was good/okay and kept me interested the whole time. It’s the perfect book to listen to while working or doing chores.
Thank you so much @dreamscapemedia for the #gifted copy on #netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I really enjoyed this quick, easy to follow audiobook! I would consider it a domestic mystery. The last chapter was a plot twist that I didn’t see coming and I really liked the character development of Edith. I would definitely recommend listening to or reading this book! I received a free audiobook from netgalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

I became a Kiersten Modglin fan after reading The Arrangement and The Amendment. In true Modglin fashion, this is twisty and suspenseful. This story of Edith and Joe’s troubled marriage will keep you guessing. Why are there photos of a woman on his phone? Who is she? Is he cheating or is something else going on?
I enjoyed this listen. Modglin’s books never lack in entertainment. The ending was somewhat of a disappointment for me- I wanted something crazier like The Arrangement. Hahaha, but overall I still enjoyed it.
