Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The plot was promising with a wife (Edith) finding pictures of another woman on her husband's phone. It's not the first time this situation has happened, but it is the first time Edith will do something about it and not fall for her husband's lies. I enjoyed the premise of the storyline but felt like I wanted the book to end... There just wasn't enough action for me and not enough twists and turns. Edith created a plan to meet the other woman but did not have a guideline of how she was going to approach her. There were some situations in the book where I was like what the heck how are you married to someone like that. Edith was an okay character and the ending made the entire book! The narration was just one voice and she did a good job at bringing the text to life. I found it easy to differentiate between the characters and the pacing of the storyline overall was a bit slow.
If you're looking for a quick thriller, this is the one. However, I found it a slow burn at first and was waiting for something exciting to happen throughout the novel.

I’m not a big fan of the unreliable character, the “crazy wife” trope, so this was not my favorite of Kiersten Modglin’s books.
It was a quick listen and was entertaining, but it didn’t have the typical twists and turns that her books usually have. I would say it is a good thriller for someone who is new to the genre.
Thank you to NetGalley for the ALC in exchange for my honest review.

This was good. Kiersten Modglin never disappoints. Thank you Netgalley for allowing me to review this advance copy.

First book I’ve read from this author. I really wanted to love it because she’s been so hyped up. This one was predictable though and didn’t live up to it. It was an easy and fast read though. Many thanks to NetGalley for the arc audio.

A good easy Listen. The barrartor was very easy to listen to. the plot was good with a few twists and turns that kept you interested.

I’ll read anything by Kiersten Modglin! She’s the queen of a popcorn thriller and this one didn’t disappoint.
We follow Edith as she tries to search for answers about her husband. She finds pictures of another woman on his phone and she sets out to prove he’s cheating.
This is a great domestic thriller. While is didn’t have the biggest twist it did have a satisfying ending.
I’d recommend this book for readers who enjoy a quick thriller, especially a domestic thriller. Thank you Dreamscape and Netgalley for my advanced listening copy.

Ladies, do you trust your husband? Why? And what social media is he really on? And am I the only one who doesn’t know about a vault app?
Ladies and gentlemen she’s done it again! I was so excited about this. Kiersten Modglin hasn’t written a bad book yet. She is the queen of cleverly written suspense thrillers. I’m not the kind of reader whose going to try to pick something apart. I base my love for books on how I’m pulled into story.
For me KM writes exciting, twisted always shocking novels. She consistently delivers every book. I can’t wait for the next one. I chose to listen to this book on audio and Devon Sorvari was a spot on narrator for this novel. She was great! I highly recommend listening to this.

I left my review on Amazon, FB, BB, B&N and GR.

The title of this Kiersten Modglin story is perfect. When Edith, the wife, catches and confronts her husband of having an affair, he's all apologies and the typical 'it will never happen again, I was stupid, yadda yadda yadda... Now, can Edith move on and trust her husband Joe again? It doesn't seem like it because she just continually catches him lying and things just don't add up. The story is pretty straight-forward and typical and just didn't do it for me. I would have liked Edith's best friend, Dan, to have a masculine voice in the narration.

This book does have many twists and turns and the outcome is not what you might expect. Kierstein Modglin is not an author that I had read before. The cover of the book and the description really caught my attention. and I am grateful to Netgalley and the author for the ARC audiobook. The main character Edith was at times very hard for me to get into. Edith seems like a smart woman but a lot of the things she does just are not smart at all. I very much liked her best friend Danny now he made the book interesting. My one big complaint is the over-described sex scenes. I like to listen to audiobooks and sometimes little ears might hear parts of the story. If I know in advance that the book is explicit I will be extra careful of where and when I listen. I wish books would carry a rating as movies do. The narrator Devon Sorvari is wonderful! This is my honest opinion..

My genre is Domestic Thrillers, and Tell Me the Truth by Kiersten Modglin rings all the bells for me - interesting characters, unexpected twists and an ending which I didn't see coming.
And, here's my pro tip for the day: I am always reading. Even when doing chores or driving, an audio book is playing. Some of my books are 20+ hours long and require a huge commitment. Frequently people ask "How do I get out of a book slump?" Answer: choose a quick read that keeps your interest, then voila its over, you feel satisfied and slump has ended.
Tell Me the Truth is that quick read. On audio, narrated by Devon Sorvari, this one is only 6 hours long and kept me company all day. It's a satisfying, solid contemporary novel I can recommend.
This book releases on May 10, 2022. Thank you to Dreamscape Media and Netgalley for allowing me to be an early reader.

Whenever I read Kiersten Modglin, I know the story will draw me in right away and the writing will flow so smoothly, I'll hardly realize how much time has passed since I started reading. This book was no exception. The story kept my interest the whole time and I knew a twist was coming (as usual) but I had no idea what it would be. This one only had a few ways it could probably go but I still wasn't sure what to expect. I was not disappointed! Highly recommended for a quick, thrilling ride.

Quick read, let me think about that ending!
Oh wow, that was a quick listen, I finished it in almost one sitting. This is my third book by KM, and I'm guessing this is her style; fast-paced, popcorn domestic suspense with a twist or two.
Set in smalltown Dale, Georgia, Edith's husband Joe is about to get busted. He's a talented liar or cheater or both? Edith delves into his personal things to find answers. She trails him at night for clues to his whereabouts.
The author made me self-doubt the whole situation when at times I feel Edith's perspective is unreliable. I couldn't pinpoint why. I had fun listening to this audiobook, but I think the ending was a little OTT. Others do like the twist so I feel I'm a bit of an outlier on this.
Nice audio narration with a little accent by Devon Sorvari. The print is out and included with Kindle Unlimited. The audiobook will be available on May 10th, 2022.
Thank you Dreamscape Media and NG for this DRC.

”Tell me lies tell me sweet little lies” 🎶!
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 📖 Tell Me The Truth by Kiersten Modglin
Good read and liked the audible as well! I could feel Edith’s pain, ugh I’ve felt that pain in a past life before. Edith suspects her husband Joe of cheating again when she finds pictures of a woman on his phone! She even starts a new job as a waitress along side her husbands mistress! Miss Thang was on a mission to find out what was going on and why her husband was cheating. I feel in LOVE with Edith’s best friend Dan! He is THAT friend that has a gals back! Great characters that you will love and hate

Thank you to Dreamscape Media for an ARC of the audiobook of Tell Me The Truth!
This book reads fast, the same as all of Kiersten Modglin's books do. Kiersten Modglin's books feel like you are talking to a friend. They feel like your best friend is telling you a CRAZY story! Lol.
It was refreshing to read a story about a man cheating with multiple women where the women worked together instead of against each other. I loved that!

When Edith finds photos of a mysterious woman on her husband's phone, the heartbreaking implications are all too familiar, and she sets out to discover the woman’s identity. What starts as a desperate search for answers quickly becomes a terrifying spiral of obsession and subterfuge. But when she becomes the one lying and deceiving during her search for answers, can she accept the fallout?
This is my first book by Kiersten Modglin and I did enjoy the ride. Tell Me the Truth starts out as a slow burner but it certainly gains speed. The end is a bit of a whirlwind but it definitely was an expected result for me.
Pros:
Quick Read
The story plunges into the conflict immediately
There's not really any "dead space" in the storyline
Unexpected ending
Cons:
The big twist did throw me a bit off. There is a bit of an unreliable narrator vibe but it was presented in a way I personally found confusing.

Thankfully this was a short mystery with the audiobook at 6 hours. There is a story here, however, this needs cleaned up and edited. Pop culture reality show Sister Wives is mentioned. And, there is a mystery vibe as I read. Unfortunately, I didn't like any of the characters, and too many popup scenes were unexplained, and the ending has been overdone.
The mystery, geesh, comes together in the last hour. It is rushed and convoluted. The narration makes it more difficult to follow. (no spoilers). There is profanity.
At the point where I was thanked for listening, I was flooded with relief. 2 stars. I can't see the reason for publication. This could have been a magazine article or a good mystery book with some work.
Thank you NetGalley for accepting my request to read and review Tell Me The Truth.

When Edith finds photos of a mysterious woman on her husband, Joe’s phone, she’s determined to not fall for any more of his lies…after all, he’s cheated before. Despite his denials, Edith is desperate to find out the truth. Before long, she’s the one keeping secrets and telling lies. What will she uncover - and how will she deal with the fallout?
Modglin is known for her short, quick novels involving lots of secrets and TELL ME THE TRUTH is no different. For me, this particular installment was a slower burn. From the opening chapter, we know that there’s another woman involved, and the whole book is about finding out who she is in relation to Joe. While there were several times I just wanted to shake Edith and tell her to call it a day on this farce of a marriage she was clearly living in, I understand that when you’re in so deep in a relationship, that can be easier said than done. I thought the “twist,” while not entirely surprising, was well done and although I anticipated the ending, it was still extremely satisfying. I could 100% see this being a Lifetime movie. Not the most unique plot by Modglin, but great suspenseful writing from her nonetheless!

I have heard such great reviews about Kiersten Modglin and I was so excited to get the chance to read my first book, Tell Me The Truth. With that being said, I am not sure what I think.
The book is about a woman named Edith who has been married to Joe for a few years. Joe and Edith have an unconventional marriage in that he does not live with her full time. He helps his mother and father out every Friday - Sunday. Joe is a teacher and Edith works retail to help pay the bills. The book starts off by mentioning that during their marriage Joe has been caught in lies and is unfaithful. One day Edith sees Joe's phone and notices pictures of another woman, Ama. This incident sets the tone of the book. Is Joe really lying or is Edith crazy?
To prove to herself that she is not going crazy or being manipulated Edith starts to investigate her husband. She follows him to a restaurant where she discovers the woman from the phone works there. Edith takes leave from her retail clothing job and applies for a job at the same diner as Ama. Edith wants to get revenge on the woman she thinks is ruining her life and marriage. Over a few weeks Edith finds opportunities to talk to Ama and get to know her. They do not hit it off and at one point Edith sabotages Ama's table ensuring she will not get a tip.
As the book progresses, Joe tries to salvage his marriage to Edith and even takes her out for a weekend getaway at a nice hotel during a Southern Blizzard. Edith has a panic attack when Joe tries to get intimate with her. Joe gets frustrated and in the nick of time gets an emergency phone call from his mom. So, he leaves to help out leaving Edith alone to recover. This of course does not bother her because Edith is in the midst of her plans. She is going to part B; investigate his finances. She calls her trusty best friend Dan (there should have been more of him in this book. He was an awesome character) to pick her up but before she can step away Joe returns saying his mom is all right now. Edith has to go to the bathroom to tell Dan to go back home, or better yet go to her house so he can find the book with the account information so she can see his finances. When Dan gets there, he is unable to open the desk and find the book, but the scariest part was that someone was trying to enter the house. (Turns out Ama was trying to surprise Edith at her house but chickens out)
Edith continues to investigate and finds more incriminating evidence that she needs to leave her husband, but still does not. Primarily because she finds out she is pregnant. Edith then goes to the diner for another shift since Joe will be at his parents for the weekend. She sees Ama there and they discuss their pregnancies. Ama is surprised to find out that Edith is pregnant especially when Edith shows her the picture of Joe. Turns out they are both married to Joe.
Big twists. After Ama and Edith see they are both married to the same person they decide to destroy Joe together. They start planting incriminating text messages, calling the police on him, pointing the finger at him being violent and filing restraining orders against him. Both Ama and Edith base this decision on the fact that Joe has been hiding the news that his parents both died a year ago, he cashed in on their insurance and has money hidden away while they struggled to pay the bills. But that's not it, his parents both died by falling down the steps and this is the same way his ex-wife died. He begrudgingly admits to their accusations but says they have no proof. This does not deter Ama and Edith away from their plan. Ama and Edith get away with murder because they kept saying he would have done it to us; so, they got him first.
Okay, so I like to give both the positive and negatives about a book. Here's what I think.
The good things: This book was realistic; I was not expecting that. I thought I would get the traditional twists of a thriller, like Edith really was crazy or this was all in Joe's head. I loved Dan. There should have been so much more of him. I feel like his character was the most fleshed out. He had personality and flair. It was not a long book.
The bad things: This book was rather boring. I honestly am thankful I finished. I did not like Edith. She kept whining about how dishonest Joe was and how she couldn't trust him. I was irritated with her. In the back of my head I was yelling for the book to end and for her to leave him. I did not like the ending. I was expecting more of a thriller than what I got. At some points I was getting vibes that this book would be twisty and would end like the book The Wives. And although that was not my favorite book, I would have loved if I had a big kick in the gut ending.
I would not recommend this book, unless you are a true Kiersten Modglin fan. I am hoping if I decide to read any of her other books they are better than this. But for someone new to her writing style it was not for me, at least not yet.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing the book Tell Me The Truth as an ARC.

I was super excited to receive this arc because I am a HUGE fan of Kiersten Modglin. Going into this I didn't expect too much.
Edith is married to Joe who she feels is cheating again beacuse he's cheated before, except this time instead of letting him get away with it she's going to find out who the other woman is and get the problem taken care of. Except as Edith starts uncovering more and more secrets things spiral out of control.
I was so into this. Towards the middle it slowed down a lot especially with her husband telling her over and over that he loves her. It got kind of old real quick. Once it hit the 65% mark it picked right back up and I was excited to finish it. The ending was as I expected but the secrets were really good. Not my favorite by Kiersten Modglin but it was still a fun, super quick read.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC of Tell Me the Truth by Kiersten Modglin.
Edith, already sore and untrusting towards her husband for a previous affair, has reason to suspect him again. But she will not be fooled by his lies again and goes to extra lengths to find the woman that he is cheating with in order to learn everything she can. But does she go too far? And how hard will Joe have to try to get Edith to believe him when he says that he is being faithful?
I went through some big ups and downs with this book, especially when it came to how I felt about the characters. I also think that the narrator added an extra tone to Edith that grated me just a bit. However, I think the author intends you to feel insecure during the entirety of a novel, not unlike a marriage that never quite sits on solid ground. I don't want to say much more lest I spoil anything!
