Wow, I was in the dark as to who the murderer was through the whole book. I loved reading, Body of Evidence. A great murder mystery with a little romance thrown in to spice it up.
I received an ARC of, Body Of Evidence, by Irene Hannon. This is book number 3 in The Triple Threat series. Deaths are piling in rural Missouri. Somebody thinks its a game, Grace, a forensic pathologist who is doing most of the autopsies, is suspicious. Who is the killer? A gripping read.
I enjoyed this a lot. I loved reading about the youngest sister. My one thing was it changed povs so much it was hard to keep track. Despite that I had a hard time putting it down. The suspense was killing me. I didn’t figure out who the murderer was as fast as I would have liked, which when I think about it, that probably means it was well written. At least in my opinion.
I received an eARC from NetGalley, all opinions are my own.
Wow! I loved this book! Intriguing from start to finish! I was hooked and the plot kept me guessing until almost the end! I really enjoyed Grace and Nate! They had a great chemistry and great banter. The actual murders was so well thought out and well paced as they investigated piece by piece! Towards the end of the book I was suspicious of everyone and everything! Once again Irene Hannon does not disappoint in crafting a suspense novel that kept me hooked and delivered a fascinating murder plot! Loved it!
I absolutely loved this story of former Green Beret Nate' and forensic pathologist Grace. Nate is now a sheriff and he and Grace team up to solve some suspicious murders in the area of unsuspecting seniors. It was well written and intriguing, with just the right amount of romance.
Book 3 of a trilogy, this book is equally suited as a stand alone. It connects to the other books in the trilogy but does not depend on them to fulfill the story line. I have enjoyed all of the Reily sisters love stories and Grace may have been my favourite.
I have enjoyed every book in this series. One member of a tight-knit family of three sisters is the main character in every book. The characterization is well done, I felt as if they could be actual people.
The mystery in this one concerns the youngest in the group, Grace who is a forensic pathologist. When she discovers a similar seed in the stomach contents of two elderly people, she decides to investigate further. Soon, she is joined in her search by the new sheriff, Nate.
While i expected a bit more Christian content in the book than it contained, there were a few times when a character caught up in a difficult situation prays-- but there wasn't much more than that. There were also a few instances of sexual innuendo that surprised me.
Overall, the story was good.
Irene Hannon spins a fascinating plot in Body of Evidence, the third book in the Triple Threat series. Great title and play on words in this thought-provoking suspense.
Forensic pathologist Grace Reilly thinks she's on to something when during the course of a routine autopsy she finds a common link between people who are dying of seemingly natural causes. Sherrif Nate Cox response to a vandalism call from Grace and while trying to spend time with her starts to believe her concerns of foul play are worth checking out.
Hannon is my favorite author for the slow burn romantic element. I enjoyed the give and take between Grace and Nate and their coming to terms with their feelings for each other. The mystery of the deaths is a full-on page turner while facts of the cases are uncovered. Readers will put their detective skills to the test while trying to solve this mystery. I will say, there were enough clues that I figured out who the killer was about halfway through. It was fun to keep reading and see if I was right.
As a sidenote, I'm a squeamish reader when it comes to too many details, so the descriptions of the autopsies and the flu outbreak were a bit more than I needed. But that's just me.
Hannon always writes a terrific epilogue and this one is no exception. Totally swoon worthy! I also enjoyed catching up with sisters Eve and Cate from the other two books in this series. I look forward to Irene Hannon's next offering. I appreciate Revell Publishing making a copy of Body of Evidence available for review. All thoughts and opinions re my very own.
Enjoyed this last book in the series about the Reily sisters.
Grace is a forensic pathologist and stumbles upon a connection between two deaths. While she can't quite let go of the similarity, she does some of her own research. Sheriff Nate Cox isn't convinced until his investigation begins to link pieces together as well. They work together to discover what's going on but the mastermind is bent on murder and Grace is in their sights.
I enjoyed this story and the suspense, it was well done to the end.
Excellent suspense read! I did not want to put this book down.
The author crafts her characters very well and I felt for their ups and downs.
Trouble has come to town. A new sheriff and pathologist are convinced that murder has come to the elderly population and it is so hard to detect that deaths are being ruled natural.
It is a race against time to find out who BJ is.
Pathologist has a concern when the autopsies who are healthy, but elderly are dying. Will the sheriff believe her, as there is also an interest between them. She becomes a target, are the elderly being blackmailed, or threaten
A good strong plot and characters in this series to read and enjoy. That will have you wondering who at the end
Given ARC by Net Galley and Revell for my.voluntary review and my honest opinion.
I never miss an Irene Hannon book and have been a fan for many years. She concludes her Triple Threat series with this one, the best of the bunch, in my opinion. People are dying, older folks, of natural causes. Or so it seems. A forensic pathologist and a county sheriff are trying to discover why so many are dying so close together.
Hannon always adds layers with each chapter, and I love discovering more in this fashion. She crafts believable characters and plots that are spot on interesting. I couldn't tear myself away. And I had no idea who the culprit was. A total surprise. Well done!
My thanks to Revell Publishing for a copy of this book via Net Galley. The opinion here is my own.
This third book in the Triple Threat trilogy is a great culmination of the series. The story starts off strong, with sparks of attraction between pathologist Grace and Sheriff Nate, and suspicions of foul play high on Grace’s radar. With deaths among the elderly, blackmail, fraud, threats, and a bit of romance, there’s never a dull moment. The book is fast-paced with plenty to keep the reader guessing. Great romantic suspense!
Irene Hannon is a skillful Christian author, whose books are full of intrigue and romance! "Body of Evidence" is the third book in Hannon's "Triple Threat" series that centers around the Reilly sisters. This particular book is about Grace Reilly, a small town forensic pathologist whose life seems fairly mundane until someone begins to target her. With the help of handsome Sheriff Nate Cox, they work to keep her safe while also researching some suspicious deaths in their town.
This book did a good job of keeping up the suspense until the very end. I didn't even suspect the killer until the last chapter. Also, I enjoyed the sparks that flew between Grace and Nate. I also was glad to read an update about the other Reilly sisters as well. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
This is my favorite book in this series! I stayed up to finish this one! I couldn't put it down!
I received an ARC through Netgalley and all opinions are my own.
This book was the final in the triple threat series. You could read this as a standalone given that each book is based on a different person however, I recommend reading the whole series, you'll enjoy them.
The author keeps you guessing until the end as to whose nefarious plot this was, giving several characters motives over the course of the book. I read this book quickly, mainly because I couldn't put it down.
I received this in exchange for an honest review. I will be buying this - it was a good book and well written.
