Wow, where to start, I've missed Erica so much, so couldn't wait to start this book, and oh my, it didn't disappoint at all, a really great story and Erica was back with a bang, loved every page, was great to see all the usual charecters back too, just brilliant
I was excited to see what I know is a much anticipated next book in Erika Foster series from Robert Bryndza, I discovered this series after actually starting the Kate Marshall Nine Elms series from this author and realizing he had another in progress series. I have been reading these books throughout the pandemic as I am always a fan of female detectives and murder mysteries/serial killer themes. I loved that Fatal Witness wove in an emerging trope related to true crime podcasts (a trope I really like as a fan of true crime podcasts and books) and returned readers to a strong female lead, a well developed and fast paced mystery (I read this in one day!), and to a mystery that did keep me guessing without disappointing me with the resolution which can happen for me with some mysteries,.
I want to thank Raven Street Publishing for the copy of this book on NetGalley, I was so glad to support this author as this series and the Kate Marshall books have been a welcome escape of the past three years.
I’d like to thank netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. I am a big fan of Roberts’s and was so excited to see another Erika Foster book finally out! She is back in top form. When a woman is found murdered near her new house, things of course aren’t really what they seem. Trying to track down evidence when it’s all been removed and finding out this woman was a true crime podcaster on the verge of solving a crime merge together when a huge change in the case shocks the team. I couldn’t put this one down and hope there will be more.
Good book! Wow! That was a great murder mystery! And a great who done it! This book also had suspense, intrigue, action, and the storyline was very interesting and flowed nicely! I kept coming so close to figuring it out lol but there were so many twists and turns that I didn't see! It was a great read! I highly recommend reading this one! Its well worth reading! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
Fatal witness by Robert Bryndza.
Detective Erika Foster Crime Thriller Book 7.
How do you find a killer who has destroyed all the evidence?
Detective Erika Foster is on a late-night walk near her new house in Blackheath when she stumbles upon the brutal murder of Vicky Clarke, a true-crime podcaster.
I really really enjoyed this book. I love this series. Erika is still my favourite character.
I like Lenka and Kate and Isaac. I had my suspects but I was wrong. Very well written. I never want this series to end. 5*.
The wait is finally over and Erika Foster is finally back! I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to catch up with her. She first made an appearance back in 2016 when The Girl in the Ice was published.....6 years ago!
Now she is back in Fatal Witness. Another exciting page turner. Grabbing you from the very first page, I devoured this in one sitting! I literally couldn't tear myself away. It is so incredibly good. Bryndza certainly hasn't lost his touch.
You guys are going to love it.
