Story of Dillon and Cal . Cowboy romance with a suspense twist .
At first I was not hooked up with the story, like a typical writing that a boy sees a badass girl but at the few chapter fone by the story mixes together and love the ending too .
.
Narrator of this book done a great job too. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ To monica king:)

That Cowboy of Mine by Donna Grant
Contemporary western romance. A bit of suspense.
Cal wakes up after a night of drinking on the wrong end of a shotgun. Dillion doesn’t know why Cal is on her ranch, but she knows her horse is missing and Cal is a suspect.
Cal and Dillion team up to determine who stole the horse and why.
🎧 I listened to an audiobook narrated by Monica King. I enjoyed the performance and believe the narrator did a good job of using specific voices for the main characters making it easy to differentiate. The emotions were clear and not overdone. The audiobook also held my attention where the text may not have on horses, their colors, or land values.
I tried different speeds and found the best conversational speed for me was 1.3 without losing any voice nuances or dialog.
Enjoyable romance with a bit of suspense and heat.
I received a copy of this from NetGalley.
A cute romance with a cowboy, ranch charm, a little danger, mystery and deceit. This book was fast paced, and had me holding my breath a few times. I love how Dillon is a strong, independent woman who knows her worth, believes in herself and the ranch. I loved Cal, his character and his respect for Dillon from the beginning. The build between these two was cute and there was a little heat, but pretty mild spice. The story flowed well and I didn’t want to put it down. I will definitely be picking up more of Donna Grant’s books.

Cal wakes up in a field with a shotgun pointed at him. He cannot remember anything from the night before, including how he got there. All he knows is a woman is threatening to shoot him, saying he stole her horse. Then, he saves her when someone starts shooting at her. He agrees to work for her, protecting her from whoever is trying to kill her, and also help find her stolen horse. But Dillon isn't so sure she can trust him.
While I normally enjoy romantic suspense, I found this one a bit cheesy. It was also very predictable, so there was little suspense from my perspective. I listened to the audio version of the book and did not care for the narrator at all. Nothing specific- it was just her voice bothered me for some reason. This may have negatively impacted my overall opinion.
Basically, if you choose to read this, stick to the print or ebook versions.
