"You know what makes a person a fighter? It's not the number of punches he can throw or how long he can last in the cage. It's when he shows real courage and strength to overcome his battle wounds. You have scars, Killer. Own up to them." First of all I love this quote, and I love this book. There is something about a darker fighter romance that just seems to make me feral. I think that this book is steamy, it is fun and it is just one of those books that you will find yourself thinking about wishing you could switch places with the main protagonist. As you can tell I adored my first experience with this author and it definitely will not be my last.

Thank you NetGalley, Wattpad Books, and Claudia Tan for this e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Sienna Lane, an MMA trainer, catches her boyfriend (MMA / underground fighter) and younger sister in bed together. Sienna who wants to get back at her cheater ex, hatches a plan when she meets Kayden Williams (also an underground fighter who fought with her ex last season but lost). She knows that Jax (her ex) treasures one thing the most, continuing his reigning underground championship. So, in exchange of training Kayden to beat her ex and become the new underground champion, he lets her stay in his apartment since she left the apartment she shared with her sister (for obvious reasons).

Before I say anything else, I want to say that this is technically a re-read since I read this in years ago when it was first published in Wattpad. I've been a fan of the Perfect series by Claudia Tan ever since I read it in Wattpad, and I was thrilled when I heard that not only were two of the books getting published (Perfect Illusion [Book #1] and Perfect Addiction [Book #2]), but my favourite out of the series was also getting a movie! Anyway, moving on.

Okay, first of all, I remember being so in love with this book when I first read it and while reading this book, I got immersed in those feelings again. The only difference I can say from then and now is that the published version is so much better. I don't know how a book that was already so good (from what I remember) could even get better, but Claudia and her team managed to do it.

I love the characters so much. Sienna, Kayden, Brent, Evans, etc. I also love how the Perfect Illusion characters have cameos here <3

Sienna Lane is just a badass queen, period. That basically sums her up. Her boyfriend and sister were cheating on her behind her back and her friends knew about it, so she cuts them off. I just love how she did that, maybe a bare minimum, but we don't see much of that happening in books (or at least I don't). It was just a little detail that I really liked, and we pretty much don't see or hear from them afterwards. The whole getting revenge on Jax because he cheated basically consumed Sienna and was her prime focus for a while, which is understandable because she gave him three years just for him to throw it all away. But because it basically consumed her, it also affected her other relationships especially with Kayden. Without giving too much away, this whole journey of Sienna's self-healing from a breakup (because of cheating from the other party) was honestly so real and just amazing.

On to Kayden "Killer" Williams. He's an absolute gem. He's rough around the edges because of some shit that he has gone through, but our girl Sienna is quick to call him out on his behaviour. They're honestly an amazing pair and they complement each other so much. Kayden was harsh with Sienna when they first (officially) met because he recognized her as Jax's girlfriend, but she didn't remember him (it only clicked after her chat with Julian). Anyway, he's got the whole "he hates everyone but her" trope down, so there's that and I absolutely love it.

Overall, the structure, the characters, and everything else was amazing. I loved it. The book is an addiction.

I absolutely loved this book. I read it years ago when it was first written on wattpad and I was extremely excited to see that it was being published! I love the world that Claudia Tan has created and these characters have me desperately wanting to find my own rugged boxer to fall in love with.

I read the Wattpad story when it was just starting to be published (on Wattpad) and I was excited when Claudia posted the next chapter. I feel the same when reading the published version. Sienna and Kayden have incredible chemistry and the story itself is sizzling itself.

Sports romance, not my cup of tea at all. Its really hard for me to find a sports romance that can grip me and i enjoy. I actually liked this one. I didnt loved it per se but it had relatable siituations and i loved the spice.

I didn't expect to sob in this book. But, I did. In a good way. This book is an enemies to friend(ly) to lovers. It is truly addicting. The character development that the the main character goes through is really amazing and you can see how/why she is the way she is and how hard she tries to fix herself even when she is not sure what she needs to fix sometimes. It is a very heartwarming story.

I enjoyed this book and I thought that it had a well developed storyline

The first part of the book dragged a little in places and I was willing the plot to properly start and as soon as it did I was addicted

The author created and developed some good, strong characters

The book was romantic, sexy and heartfelt

It is 4 stars from me, highly recommended

I vaguely remember reading from this author years ago on Wattpad and having found this I was so excited.

Honestly as much as I enjoyed this it could have cut out a lot of the book and it would have streamlined everything.

Give it a read if you're into MMA and a slight mystery

Thanks to netgalley for a free copy of this book all opinions are my own

I loved this book! It was my first time reading an MMA story like this and it was very enjoyable. I loved the character development that both Kayden and Sienna had. All of the intense emotions that both main characters felt were imperative for the story and I really enjoyed seeing them work it out together. One thing that I really loved was the tattoo, and once you read this, you will smile as brightly as I did when I read about it!

I had to DNF the book for now. I had no idea that this one is a sequel.
Maybe someday I would hop on to this book again, when I have read the book before it.

I remember first reading this on wattpad many years ago and so glad to read this again.

Addictive and the first romance book I’d ever read. Come full circle now.

Would recommend this book 100%

This is a perfectly adequate romance. I liked that both hero and heroine had to deal with their demons in order for the relationship to work. And I liked the glimpse into the world of MMA, which is about as far from my world as I can imagine. But this... just was not really my cup of tea. I think if the characters had been older it would have helped. They certainly acted in immature ways, but it was hard to believe these were all basically college students. The romance did not have a lot of zing for me either. A solid three star book- enjoyable, but I do not think I would ever read it again.

✨Thank you NetGalley for providing me with this arc✨⁣

𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄: I loved the way the book started, crazy things happen in the very first chapter and I was 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗱 but then I started losing interest during the unnecessary rants. I did enjoy Kayden’s character, he is completely understood in life and has a very soft heart. He needs to be protected at all costs!!

It was good, I liked it
CANT wait for the movie.
The both main characters are really interesting and even when I kinda got annoyed with sienna, she grew on me. I really liked the end and I personally didn’t like that Jax got a redemption arc.
But kayden Omg is sksbdkdbdj I love him so much he is everything, and more. I need a bonus scene from his pov

Being in Sienna's head again was wonderful! I also forgot how much I wanted to throat punch Beth in the beginning of the boom😒

Sienna was, I think the most relatable character 6 years ago for me. From the grudge holding to the anger. To be on this journey with her again through adult eyes, it really put things in perspective. I now understand the type of healing she had undergone towards the end. The character progression from the beginning to the end was so wonderful read, including Kayden's.

Also, it was sooooo good getting content from my babies over from perfect illusion. It felt so good reading more of Alex and Daniel! And let's not forget Cara❤️

This was always my favorite book by Claudia! From every book in the perfect series on wattpad. I always had a soft spot for Sienna and Kayden. Claudia your writing is absolutely amazing! I loved it 6 years ago and I still do. Thank you for sharing your amazing stories with us❤️

Thank you for the ARC copy! 💕

Thank you to Wattpad Books, Claudia Tan & Netgalley for the opportunity to review this book.
3.8 ⭐

I actually enjoyed reading this book. I have to say I was skeptical at first but I ended up liking it.
Kayden is such a giant teddy he is a sweetheart. Sienna however really did have alot of anger issues. It made it difficult for me to connect with her. But I enjoyed her character development towards the end.

I will say she came across as selfish alot in the book which actually annoyed me because it was mainly all about her but she grows a bit towards the end.

I wish it was dual pov though, would've been nice to read things from Kayden's perspective as well.

A definite read.

Happy release day!!!!!

I DNF'd this ARC about 25% into the ebook I received from NetGalley. While I liked the premise of the plot synopsis and is what drove me to request the book, the first quarter of the book did not hold my interest long enough for me to keep going.

I was turned off by the amount of personal internal monologue happening that also didn't give enough external context for why that was happening.

The author also seemed to pull out all of the cliché of a romance novel or Hallmark movie within the first quarter of the story - girl scorned by guy cheating with her sister, guy ghosts girl, sister tries to save the relationship, sister goes to daddy for help, girl finds new guy to help with getting revenge on old guy and claims there's no romantic connection but you know something is brewing beneath his rough edges of a personality and appealing physique.

Overall, this book has potential, but it just did not catch my attention enough and interest me enough to keep going. I can see why others might enjoy it, but I was also left feeling very frustrated and annoyed every time I tried to make progress.

Perfect Addiction is a great book for those who love sports romance, with slowish burn, past traumas on both sides and sweet spice.

We follow Sienna as she tries to move on and get even when her boyfriend sleeps with her younger sister (all of this is on the blurb on the back of the book). Sienna is an MMA instructor and ends up running into Kayden a man who once went against her ex and lost. As the perfect revenge she decides to train Kayden to beat her ex publicly humiliating him in front of all his adoring fans.
This book was sweet and Kayden turned out to be more of a beta hero who only was alpha when in the cage fighting, or standing up for Sienna. Both MC’s have previous trauma they must face in order to be with each other. It was a slow paced ride for me but the author really showed you the depth of Sienna and Kaydens minds and what they both were going through. Even though this book is only in Sienna’s POV she did a good job making you feel was Kayden was feeling.

The only things I didn’t like about this story was I felt it was drawn out too long and Kayden, as adorable as he was, was just too nice for my liking. Other than that it was well written and had a HEA, which is important to me when I read romance.

Definitely give this sports romance a go!

"You know what makes a person a fighter? It's not the number of punches he can throw or how long he can last in the cage. It's when he shows real courage and strength to overcome his battle wounds. You have scars, Killer. Own up to them."

"Kayden has a tender heart and a kind spirit - if not a little tainted from the darkness that he seems to carry around with him. And despite him being hot and cold with me, it's getting much harder for me to stay away."

"He's going to kill me, isn't he? With his beautiful words, kind stares and big, gentle heart. He's truly going to be the death of me."

"Don't quit, don't split and don't bitch."

"It's hard to be with someone with the hopes of fighting their demons for them. They've got to do it on their own."

"He's asking way too much from me. How can I let all that anger go, just like that?"

First of all, I am so so happy to be able to read a book on my kindle that I had first read on Wattpad years ago. I am so proud of Claudia.

This book was filled with angst and anger and the need for revenge to the brim. Sienna was a contradiction. A beautiful one at that. She knew (most of) the things she was doing, yet she was so compelled by her need for revenge that she handicapped herself, including her relationship with Kayden.

Kayden was the yin to Sienna's yang. He was everything that she was missing. Maybe it was the way the character was written or the language, but I couldn't get a read on the kind of personality he had. He was desirable sure, but many aspects of his personality just..... clashed. Their relationship felt toxic a lot of times, which is another thing that didn't work out for me. At one point, the push and pull between the characters became too much for me.

The plot makes this book truly what it is. The underdog thing it has going shone with the book, along with the language. And I absolutely loved it. The amateur feel to it is what makes wattpad books hold a special place in my heart, this book being one of them.

Overall, it was a good book, if I put aside some plot holes and language issues, it would have been even better.

This book is giving me mix feelings. I finished this in one sitting! It was raw an emotional. Sienna thought she had everything figured out until she found out that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her own sister for while! I love Sienna. She was very strong and not the type to break down even if she's having problems. While looking for a place to stay she met with Kayden. He's moody, had a lot of issues and a good fighter. Sienna made a deal with Kayden. A place to stay in exchange of her training Kayden to fight with her ex boyfriend. I really liked that the dynamics between the two. What made me thinking was Sienna was 18 years old had so many experience in fighting that she can train people and join MMA? Sierra is in college yet I didn't see her study in any page (hehe) I felt like the ending could have been better or more.

However I love how Sienna's character grows and I love the side characters, Evans and Brent a lot. Their romance was super cute. I liked the pacing of the book and the interactions between the characters.
