I didn't know much about Katy Tur before reading this, aside from the fact that she had reported closely on Trump during his campaign. As a fan of political memoirs, I thought this was a particularly interesting peek inside a journalist’s career, but also into her complicated family. I really enjoyed this, and learned a good bit too. For fans of Alyssa Mastromonaco and Beck Dorey-Stein.

I was familiar with Katy Tur's journalism, but had no idea about her personal history that brought her to this point. Having watched her coverage of the 2016 presidential campaign, I marveled at how she could take a candidate's insults in stride. This book explains how. She doesn't sugarcoat her family's ups and downs, and is quite candid about her experiences. Her story is fascinating and her narration of the book is exactly what it needs. Very much enjoyed reading this one.
