Charlene Morris and Dr. Jack Strathmore are the perfect detecting pair, too bad Jack is a ghost! The Salem B&B mysteries are engaging, entertaining and not to be missed! Taking place around St. Patrick's Day, Charlene Morris's B&B is full of guests waiting to be taken to a corned beef and cabbage meal at a pub in Salem's Irish community. Unfortunately, a murder occurs at the pub and Charlene and one of her guests witness the suspected murderer fleeing the pub. There's something fishy going on with the victim's family, and one of her guests is acting very suspicious. Of course Charlene, with Jack's help, sets out to uncover the secrets and solve the crime.

This is a great series - the characters and their stories continue to develop throughout each book. In addition to routing for Charlene and Jack, you find yourself hoping for a happy ending for Avery, wondering what's going on with Charlene's mom & dad and what in the world will become of Charlene's relationship with Sam, if anything! The relationships between the characters are wonderful and really make for a cohesive story.

The book keeps moving and keeps you guessing until the end. There are some surprises with the characters - definitely some aha! moments, and yes, some frustration as you wish there could be 'something' more between Charlotte and Jack. The book has humor, romance, an intriguing murder to solve, holiday flair, and some surprises at the end that will leave you anticipating book 7.

I very much look forward to reading many more of Charlene's and Jack's 'cases.'

Charlene went to some effort to create a fun St Patrick's Day for guests at her B&B but an aggressive interloper at the party put a damper on things. And then, Charlene finds that same man-Connor Gallagher- murdered. Good grief. She also saw the person who might have murdered him, but she can't finger the villain because the villain was wearing a hoodie. Of course, she's got to investigate, whether her love interest Sam the detective approves or not. Luckily, she's got Jack, the ghost who lives in her B&B and a group of loyal friends and employees to help. It's a classic cozy with a paranormal twist. If you haven't read the series, know that Jack never gets too woo hoo and that this will be fine as a standalone. I like the series because it's very tongue in cheek in spots and often quite funny. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. Looking forward to the next one.

Another great holiday installment it’s Mrs Morris and her bread and breakfast in Salem. This one takes places around st. Patrick’s day. Unfortunately someone is attacked during the AOH’s annual st Patrick’s day party. Of course Mrs Morris has taken her guests there and she sees the attack but can’t make out the attacker.

The good- another solid story. Some plot lines seem to be moving a bit forward a lot quicker like things are actually happening instead of staying static. This holiday is in a different time of year, and invites a bunch of new characters into the story.

The bad- the Irish stereotypes. Sigh. Anger, drinking, gangs, lots of gold. It’s a bit hard to deal with.

I’ll keep reading the series, but I hope it does better in the future.

I will leave a review on Amazon and B&N on Aug. 23rd

Mrs. Morris and the Pot of Gold is the 6th book in the Salem B&B series. i have read all the other books in this series, and it just continues to get better and better. This book kept me guessing with the different twists and turns. I loved the turn of events concerning Charlene and Avery. I certainly would recommend this to everyone that loves cozy mysteries.

I requested and received an advance reader copy of this book from Kensington Books and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

but she has settled into her new life in historic Salem as a B&B owner. Jack Strathmore is the extremely handsome ghost who owned the family mansion and chose to stay with Charlene when he could have "gone to the light". Their relationship is enough for both of them at the moment. Will Johnson and Minnie, her small staff, are delightful as grounds maintenance and cook/housekeeper. Avery is a teen who works part-time and has become like family to Charlene. Detective Sam Holden is six foot and resembles the actor Sam Elliot, and is fond of Charlene but waiting for her grieving to end. Silva is her plush white cat who is a sweet cat with little antics. To complicate things further, Charlene's parents come for a surprise visit. Charlene and her mother historically have a contentious relationship, so she isn't happy to see them.

The setting of Salem wasn't utilized particularly. Rather, the Irish annual celebration takes center stage in this outing. The investigation takes place in and around caring for and entertaining her B&B guests. The plot has some meaty aspects and the murderer isn't easy to detect. There is plenty going on and keeps the readers interest. The climax was nail biting and quite suspenseful.

This is a perfect mix of tenacious heroine, flirty ghost, well developed murder mystery, and spot on writing. This is a cozy goodness and the Jack makes a charming ghost for the ideal entertaining mystery. I am now on a mission to read the ealier books I've missed.

Rating: Excellent - Loved it! Buy it now and put this author on your watch list

I can’t believe that this series is at the sixth book. It’s been so much fun to get to this point, and the series isn’t slowing down at all. Charlene is pretty much settled into running her B&B, and a new holiday means a new mystery. This one was a wild ride from start to finish, even if I had more than an inkling about the mystery and the guest. This series is just such fun, even if Jack and Sam annoy me for different reasons. I wish Sam would just take Charlene seriously. This is a great addition to the series, and with the events of this one at the end, I’m looking forward to what is going to happen next with Charlene and her whole B&B family. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

Mrs. Morris and the Pot of Gold by Traci Wilton is the sixth book in the Salem B&B Mystery series. Mrs.Morris escorts her B & B guests to a St. Patrick's Day dinner at the Ancient Order of Hibernians club. But it's Mrs. Morris we are talking about here and once again she finds a body. And once again her friend, Detective Sam Holden attempts to keep Mrs. Morris out of trouble but she can't resist investigating. I really like the main characters in this series, especially Mrs. Morris (Charlene) and her resident ghost house guest Jack. It was fun reading about how Mrs. Morris solves the mystery with computer research help from the ghost, Jack. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

This is book 6 in the series, but the first I have read. I will definitely be going back and reading the previous 5! This book is everything you want a cozy to be- page turner, likable characters, decent plot a little romance, and local color. Salem truly comes alive, but not at Halloween, but at St Patrick's Day, and it provides an interesting twist to the story! You'll laugh out loud and enjoy this book! Perfect for Summer staycation and taking on vacation alike!

This series has been a hit or a miss for me. Some of the books I've loved, and some I did not enjoy.
Unfortunately, this latest offering did not hold my attention. I found it slow paced and it just didn't grab me.
I would read the next book, and hope the story is better.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

The Salem B & B series is one of my favorites, and this story didn’t disappoint! I loved visiting Salem in person and it feels a little like a return visit every time I read another book about Mrs. Morris - Charlene, as everyone calls her. I really like how each book besides the first one takes place during a holiday celebration. I think that the addition of holiday traditions combined with the history of Salem is a winning combination.

In this story, it is St. Patrick’s Day and Charlene has made reservations for her B & B guests to attend a dinner party at a local Irish heritage organization’s soirée. After the event, Charlene stumbled into an altercation and nearly got hurt in the process. A man was injured in the argument and later died. Charlene feels invested in finding his killer.

I love how there are plenty of suspects and some real “characters” in the story. It also seems that Charlene has made some new friends in Salem, who are interesting to meet and I
‘M excited to read about them in future books.

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great cozy mystery. My thanks to #NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy of the book in exchange for my honest opinion.

Another addition to the Mrs Morris series! I have been following this series since the first book came out. There is honestly just *something* that keeps me coming back each time. What I really love about the writing from Traci Wilton is the fact that the growth in each book is very on par with “real life” growth. (Maybe besides the really strung along relationship with Sam.) The timeline though of growth and change feels very realistic and like a steady real life ebb and flow, rather than cookie cutter “changes” the author feels they “have to” put in to keep a series going. I adore how Charlene’s mindset continues to grow and change when it comes to people and lifestyles, as well as the fact that it is actively noted by her. The mystery was well done, and very twisty and turny- not super easy to figure out and I feel that is the general consensus for all the books in this series. It is a joy to read through the mystery. I do personally wish there was SOME kind of growth with the Sam relationship at book 6… Finally, Charlene’s very abruptness in her questioning/nosiness has never been my number 1 favorite thing about this series, however, I have to give credit with the commitment to it in these books. She is definitely a well fleshed out character. I am glad this series is still going strong and definitely look forward to the next one! Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for an E-ARC!

Salem, Massachusetts, B&B owner Charlene Morris will need the luck of the Irish—and the help of a ghost—to unveil a hooded killer . . .
Overall I enjoyed the mystery and paranormal aspects of the book. Charlene is easy to like and follow along with,

I'm not usually a paranormal fan but I thoroughly enjoy the A Salem B&B Mystery series by Traci Wilton. 'Mrs. Morris and the Pot of Gold' gathers a host of characters surrounding a St. Patrick's Day celebration where murder ensues. The revelation of the villain was a surprise to me, and I loved being surprised in a cozy. As a young widow myself I would like Charlene to have some flesh and blood romance in her life, hence my conflict with the lovable and supportive Dr. Jack. It will be interested to see how it plays out.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Enjoyed every bit of the story, and trying to find the hints to solve the mystery was a real treat.

Love this series.

Another great mystery in the A Salem B&B series . I loved revisiting much loved characters. However it hard to explain about the book without giving away previous books in the series. As this one is book 6.

This is the 6th book in the Salem B&B Mystery series by Traci Wilton.
St. Patrick's Day in Salem is a big deal. Charlene has reserved a table for her and her guests at the AOH dinner celebration.
Charlene is a witness to an assault as she almost gets knocked down the stairs. Time for her to get sleuthing.
Something is suspicious with the victims family.
Will Charlene find out what happened and what are they not telling?
A fun mystery and I love visiting the Bed and Breakfast to see friends who feel like family.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to read this book.

Mrs. Morris and the Pot of Gold is Book 6 in the Fantastic B&B Mystery series by Traci Wilton.
I absolutely LOVE this series and I dare to say this is my favorite book in the series.

Charlene Morris moved from Chicago when her husband passed away and moved to Salem, Mass and opened a B&B. She would have no way of knowing that the Inn had another guest, or should I say ghost, who is the previous owner of the Inn, Dr. Jack Strathmore. He is still there because of his murder. Charlene and Jack's relationship is a fun one .

I really love Siliva, Charlene's cat who can also see Jack.

In this story, its St. Patrick's Day and that is such a fun holiday for a setting in this mystery.
Charlene has gotten a table for her guests to have a yummy corned beef dinner.

Next thing you know, she's involved in a new mystery.

I love this series. It is well written with great characters!
