Oh this was a CUTE romcom. Freya needed a shake every twenty minutes, but it was CUTE. Reminds me of the older Sophie Kinsella books that got me into chicklit and I really appreciated that.

I thought this was a really cute book! This book gives off a heavy women’s fiction feel to it. If you’re in the season of going to weddings all the time, you’re going to love this book! This is a slow burn, opposites attract romance. This book will have you giggling the whole time you’re reading it. You’ll connect with the characters as well and be cheering them on. I recommend checking this one out if you’re looking for a great summer read!

The premise of doing an outlandish challenge at each wedding of the season was cute and entertaining. The actual romance ended up a little shallow and not the focus, but that's just fine with the right expectations.

Wedding planning is not for the weak, that’s for sure. The tone of the beginning of the book was a little different than I anticipated from a book like this

More women's fiction than romcom. It started out heavy and fell flat for me. This was sadly a DNF for me.

I was thinking I was going to give this book a 3 because it seemed too long and somewhat repetitive. But in the end the last quarter or so wrapped it up nicely. The fancy weddings and hen do’s seemed like a lot to me but I have no context except for British movies so it was best to just enjoy the descriptions for what they were.

I received this book as a digital audio ARC from NetGalley. I liked how this book focused on the main character’s development into an independent woman and then she was able to find love by the end. I really enjoyed the element of the wedding challenge list that her friend group made for her. It made for a few very funny antics. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a lighthearted romance read.

Such a cute book!

This story centers around Freya, who faces a breakup the night before her wedding day, and now has to pick up the pieces.

I really enjoyed the audiobook format, which was narrated by Daphne Kouma.

*many thanks to St Martins and Macmillan audio/Netgalley for the gifted copy for review

This one started off pretty heavy with a major conflict early on that had me questioning where the rom-com lightheartedness part of the book would start. I liked the audiobook narrator but overall the story just kind of fell flat for me where I wasn’t super invested in the main character and how the story was going to end.

Light, cute and a fast read. Wish there was a bit more depth to it. Super cute. Makes for a nice, easy read.

This book sounded like something I would like, but it was a bust. Took me forever to finish reading it, couldn't get into it and just didn't enjoy it as much as i hoped i would.
This book was def not for me but i have seen a ton of good reviews on it so you might want to still check it out :)

Thank you to the publisher and Net Gallery for the ARC of this book, the opinions and thoughts above are my own, honest and voluntary.

This book wasn't what I expected. From the cover art and the synopsis I was expecting a cute rom-com, instead this reads more like womens fiction. I didn't find much rom or com. I found a lot of repetitiveness that made me skim through the book.

This was such a cute audiobook! Something about reading about a female heroine who gains confidence in herself is so refreshing. Katy’s character development in this book was great. I loved the friend group and how they stepped in to be there for her. overall, a real solid audiobook. I did wat to read it as a paperback though, because I know I missed some things.

let’s talk about wedding nightmares… Freya Scott has one of the worst ones; her fiancé calls off the wedding less than 24 hours before they walk down the aisle!
Now she has to cancel her wedding AND attend SEVEN weddings solo. Luckily, Freya has amazing friends who push her to explore new hobbies and create a list of dares for each wedding. Freya learns new things about herself and how to move on from heartbreak.

I picked up the book because I thought the cover was so cute! I definitely recommend as a light read

I loved the banter between characters, the pace and not pressuring Freya to change her entire identity.

I LOVED this book - absolutely loved this brilliant and beautifully written book. This book centers around Freya who, having been dumped the night before her wedding, figures out how to muddle through life post-break up, with the help of her wonderful and hilarious friends. This book was so thoughtful and wise, and hilarious. Having just recently gone through a fairly major life altering event myself, I could feel my eyes tearing up a bit throughout the book and wanting to be a little braver - like Freya. This book is absolutely perfect who needs help getting through heartbreak, or needs a sweet and lovely book about what happens after love falls apart. Other than wanting to know a bit more about what happens with Freya's family, I would give this book all the stars if I could. Go and read it!

As wedding season approaches, love is usually in the air except for Freya. When she is jilted at the alter, she must pick herself up and make it through numerous other weddings. This is made more bearable when she strikes a deal with some friends. This is a light, fun read that inspires readers that often life's most tragic moments help us grow the most.

Freya Scott is suppose to be going down the aisle in her wedding but her fiancee Mathew decides to call it off. Freya friends decide to help her make the most of it anyways she is invited to several weddings and her friends give her tasks to do at each wedding. They come up with a list of things for Freya to do at each wedding.

The tasks are what makes the story interesting Freya who seems not the type to pull of the tasks without a hitch she finds herself at times into peculiar situations which makes this fun and entertaining.

Freya is such a likeable character she goes along with her friends task and makes it through the wedding season regardless even though she is not getting married herself anymore.

I recommend The Wedding Season it was a quick fun read. It is a clean fun romance with characters you can get behind them. Daphne Kouma did a great job narrating the story bringing life to the characters,

Thank you to Netgalley and MacMillian Audio for a free audio version of the book for an honest review.

Freya Scott finds herself jilted hours before she is set to walk down the aisle to wed her longtime boyfriend, Matthew. She is lost, confused and angry. However, her best friends task her with a set of challenges that force her to step outside her comfort zone. She takes these on with a seriousness that was almost comical. Freya was a lovely, admirable character whose enthusiastic attitude regarding her situation was palpable. I highly recommend this story for readers who love romantic comedies or who are looking for a pick-me-up. Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an advanced copy of this audiobook.
