I was so excited to receive this early copy of Starry Eyed Love, I've been dying to read it. The Spark Sisters are just too cute, they fight hard & love harder...so I couldn't wait to see what would unfold in Book #2. I adored When Sparks Fly (Book #1 in the series) about Avery and Declan and this 2nd book in the series focuses on London and Jackson, as well as the relationships between the sister. When Sparks Fly is what turned me on to Helena Hunting's books. I highly recommend her to all of my friends. I will say, I think Book #1 might have been steamier than Starry Eyed Love, but I still loved this one.

The way Jackson 1st asks London on a date was so smooth, I couldn't help but smile when I read it, massive swoon factor. Mad skills my man.

I really liked how the relationship between the sisters was a bigger focus in this 2nd book. It was cool to see how Avery, London and Harley matured both personally and in regards to Spark House.

I loved Jackson's devotion to those that he loves, especially London. I loved the dynamic and growth between Selene and London.

I just loved this book, as I knew I would. Helena Hunting never disappoints. I can't wait to see what's next for the Spark Sisters...now that they are finally working on that work-personal life balance.

It was also refreshing to see such self-aware characters. I think we need more people like that in the world. Another swoony, sexy, Spark book by Helena Hunting that I get to recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher, for this free review copy.

I recently read When Sparks Fly, and really enjoyed it, so was excited to see Starry-Eyed Love on NetGalley! I will say I loved the 1st one, quite a bit more!

I enjoyed Landon’s story and getting to know Jackson, properly this time. Their chemistry was 🤌. The build up was great, and the romance is a slow burn, but well worth it. I really enjoy these three sisters, and look forward to Harley’s story, if we get it 🤞 the audio was great, and I really enjoy this narrator!

Starry-Eyed Love is on sale May 10th, 2022.

Freshly single London Spark is not looking for a new relationship when an attractive man passes her his number on a night out with her sisters. Several months later the same man walks into the middle of her presentation to her newest potential client. That man, Jackson Holt, turns out to be the CEO of the multi-million dollar company she’s trying to make a partnership with. Soon London and Jackson realize how difficult it’s going to be to keep things professional.

Starry-Eyed Love is the second book in Helena Hunting’s Spark House series. I really liked the first book When Sparks Fly and this one did not disappoint. Thus one has a very different feel than the first book but I think its storyline is smoother. It has more build up to the relationship even though the characters have fantastic chemistry from the very beginning.

This book has just the right amount of romantic and steamy moments. The main characters are quite relatable, especially London. I appreciate the sensitive way in which the author writes about London’s anxieties and her self-perceived “flaws”. Her realness makes her much more likable and realistic than a character described as perfect and superior at everything.

I adore every one of Helena Hunting’s books but there was something about this one that really clicked for me. I really enjoyed Starry-Eyed Love and look forward to seeing where the author takes the series next.

I voluntarily listened to and reviewed an advanced copy of this audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you to NetGalley, St. Martin’s Griffin, and Macmillan Audio!

An Helena Hunting book is guaranteed to be consistently entertaining and emotional, and Starry-Eyed Love is not an exception.
The story between London and Jackson begins months before they even realize it and it feels meant to be even as they both pretend otherwise. Between not wanting to risk the working relationship between their companies, Jackson's reticent personality, and how overworked London constantly is, their relationship is fraught with obstacles that they're going to have to work together and communicate to overcome.
I also really enjoyed the parts of the story that dealt with the sisters and how their passion for making Spark House the best didn't always align with what was best for them or how they each thought it should be done. It has some great interactions that felt real to life in how the sisters fought/discussed things, and that added an extra level of emotional engagement to the story.
This is book 2 in the series and it also works as a bit of an epilogue for book 1, but you can just as easily read it as a stand-alone without much problem because all the really important bits are explained and explored enough for new readers not to have any problems.
The audiobook version shines thanks to the narration by Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom as they both give their all to voicing the characters and infusing each scene with such emotion that you can't help but feel like a part of the story. Having alternated between reading the book and listening to the audiobook, I would say that the audiobook was a better experience simply because I really enjoyed the life that both narrators breath into the story.

Very happy thanks to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the romantic early read!

I love the Spark Sisters!! This book is the second in the series and tells the story of London Spark finding love. Although it is part of a series, it is standalone and can definitely be read without having read the first - although I will note that some spoilers are mentioned. I did read the first book and loved it so I was really excited for this one and it did not disappoint. The writing is good and the characters have such chemistry.

I particularly enjoyed the narration for the audiobook. Both the female and male narrators were awesome and really brought the story to life.

I would highly recommend this book!

I didn't realize this was the 2nd in a series, but it was still enjoyable having not read the 1st one. The main characters had chemistry, and it was a charming romcom. I think I'll go and read the 1st now.

I was graciously given an audio copy of Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting by #Netgalley to give my honest review.
This is the second book in the Spark House series by Helena Hunting. I am admittedly a fan of Ms. Hunting. I was little anxious going into this one because book one in the series was good but not a five-star read for me. When I saw Starry-Eyed Love become available, I jumped on it to give the series another chance. I’m so glad I did. I found this book engaging from page one. This book follows London Spark who has just broken up with a boyfriend. She’s then hit on buy this attractive guy who turns out to be this multimillion-dollar man.
Where are these guys in real life? Oh wait, I’m married and never go out.
I digress.
London turns him down feeling like she’s just not in a good position personally to date.
We know how this goes right?
He turns out to work at a company that partners up with her company and BAM! They’re spending time together and eventually figure out it is love.
This book is everything we love about romance books. There’s lot of chemistry. I love that we also get pulled into the family dynamic with London’s sisters. I would recommend this one.
Jason Clarke & Stella Bloom are fantastic narrators and bring this story to life.

From their meet cute, with a failed pick up in a bar, to the friendship they develop throughout this book, the chemistry and banter between Jackson and London is on point!

London and Jackson are Everything! I love book 2 in the Spark House series more than book 1. I identify hard with London, especially these last 2 years. London pushes herself to take on everything thrown at her, and her imposter syndrome is strong! I found her extremely relatable, and there were many moments where I wondered if Helena Hunting was secretly spying on me (j/k). Jackson is the best kind of book boyfriend! He is rich, attentive, and puts London first trying to do things that make her happy. That said, he is still a man and he doesn't get it right all the time.

We get more time with Avery and Harley in this novel, and I loved Harley, she is the peace keeper and care taker for her older siblings, but I disliked Avery throughout the book. She came across as selfish and controlling throughout the book. I loved her so much in book 1, but that love has been diminished following her actions in this book.

As with all of Helena's books there are some Easter eggs, we get to spend some time with the Mills brothers and their wives as well as Lincoln Moorhead (Shacking up series). Getting to see what is happening to characters from other books is one of my favorite things ever!

I had the opportunity to read an advanced ebook and listen to an advanced audiobook through Netgalley. The audiobook is narrated by Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom. These two are always a good match, and this book is no different. They perfectly capture the sexual tension, romantic banter and professional humor infused in the text.

For fans of Helena Hunting, this is one of her traditionally published books, which is slightly less explicit than her indie published books. This is also a slow burn, but I barely noticed because the chemistry and tension was so good I had tingles!

I highly recommend Starry Eyed Love by Helena Hunting!!

I received and arc and alc of this book and voluntarily give my review.

I came into reading this 2nd book of the series with no knowledge of the first or the other books by Helena Hunting that took place in this world. It truly can be a standalone and I would recommend this good story. I now plan to read the first one. I really enjoyed the and found the character development good. While the story lacked diversity the characters were lovable and delt with complex growth.

One thing in the is dual POV that I was not a fan of that it was not 50/50 or even 60/40. The mix ended up being 80/20 and it made it hard to get a full development picture in the story. Not bad, just a noted observation.

Stella and Jason did an excellent job with the narration. I liked their inflections and tempo.

Story 4.5/5 stars
Narration 5/5

Starry-eyed Love was a story about family, work, love, and finding balance. It was a sweet, slow burn romance. The book follow’s London and her sister’s event hotel. I loved the relationship between these three sisters. Each sister has their own personality, I appreciated that the sisters felt frustrated with each which felt authentic. London is devoted, strong-willed, and a hard worker. When the hotel is provided the opportunity to partner with Jackson’s company the two begin working closely together. The chemistry between the two was evident from the beginning. I found the tension between the two to be an enjoyable ride and when they officially start dating things get steamy. Jackson was charming, supportive, serious, and put together. It was fun seeing him break routine to spend more time with London. This is a workplace romance, so there is a lot of work related jargon. I usually struggle with slow burn romance, but this one had some many elements from the family relationships, tension, and entertainment that kept my attention to the very end.

3.75*
Book (audio) #2 in the Spark House series. This latest edition featuring London, the hardest working (in my opinion) and…quietest of the three Spark sisters. She’s put her life on hold to keep the Spark house running smoothly. London really doesn’t have much of a choice. Her sister Avery is self-consumed, with nothing on her mind other than her own wedding.

When a business opportunity brings her face to face with the very wealthy entrepreneur Jackson, let’s just say ‘sparks fly.’

Will business get in the way, or will true love conquer all?

This was a great addition to the series, though book one featuring Avery was my favorite. Fingers crossed there will be one more book in this series, with the youngest sister Harley in the spotlight. She’s sweet and quirky and I think the author could have a lot of fun spicing up her love life.

I listened to the audio version and both narrators did a fantastic job!

Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio 🎧

I will lead off by saying that I have not read the first book in this series, but I didn't feel lost in the world of the three sisters. With that being said, I would have loved more relationship building with Jackson and London. I thought they were very sweet together and had tons of potential.

I want to give a huge thank you to Netgalley for the opportunity to read this digital ARC.

First off, thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for allowing me to listen and review Starry-Eyed Love.

I will say I really enjoyed the first book in this installment (When Sparks Fly) and was so excited to receive access to listen to the audio of book 2 (was also gifted a physical ARC). I actually enjoyed this story even MORE than I did book 1 - this one focusing on London's story. I enjoy how her and Jackson met and how their romance unfolds and comes back together. there were moments were it was a bit slow but overall loved the story, the characters and can't wait to see what's next for spark house

I loved this book! It was even better than the first in the series. I really enjoyed the main characters as well as the plot. I was able to listen to this quickly and did not want to put it down.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGallley for a copy to honestly review.

The second book in the Spark House series is charming, fun, full of sexual tension and a slow burn that was perfect for the characters.

The couple for this book is London and Jackson and their TWO meet cutes are destined for more. Their first meeting is short lived, but you could feel that there was potential. Jackson sold me when he said, "Thank you for existing." <Swoon>.
The second meeting is what set the tone for what was to come. An office romance of sorts?? Sign me up!

What follows is two people getting to know one another while working together to put on the perfect event while still dealing with the past and present of these two characters.

London is the middle Spark sister. Avery and Harley are her sisters and they run the Spark House. They are super close and work well together for the success of their business. These women are strong, smart and do well at their jobs, even if there are bumps in the road. But London is one that suffers personally a bit more than the others. Her heart is in the creative process, but she doesn't always get to shine in that aspect of her job.

Jackson is a VERY successful businessman that works endlessly because he doesn't have anything else in his life to focus on. He's good at what he does and is appreciated in his field. When London and Jackson's paths cross for the second time, he will do anything to keep her close, but he won't cross the professional line to put their careers or reputations in jeopardy.

Oh goodness. Were these two just the sweetest and perfect for one another?! The tension between London and Jackson was palatable. I just wanted them to give in so many times before they actually did, but I understood Jackson's reasoning. They were a perfect match and they made sense. Jackson balanced London's fun and serious side and uplifted her as she deserved. I liked the way they listened to one another and comforted one another. It may have took them a long time to get there, but I felt the <I>spark</I> all throughout.

While I wish we would've gotten more of Jackson's POV, this is the Spark House series for a reason. But as I listened to the audio, I would've loved listening to Jason Clarke's Jackson more. He is just perfection at a suave and successful businessman that knows what he wants. And Stella Bloom? Just wonderful as London. Sexy, bumbling and confident all rolled into one amazing character.

I enjoyed the second book of the Spark House series and cannot wait to get Harley's story. These Spark sisters are great characters that love one another and deserve all the happiness along with success in their business. They just need to know when to say when and give a little bit of themselves up for something besides work.

This was such a sweet romance novel. There was a bit of steam, which I didn't expect. While I did enjoy the story, it felt very predictable. I don't think it will stand out for me, there wasn't enough that was unique about it. But I did appreciate the shared grief of losing parents that was woven into the story.

This is the second book in the Spark House series. I love the Sparks sisters! Jackson and London's second chance to love is well written, slow paced, funny, emotional, and heartwarming. Jackson is handsome, charming, and supportive. London is beautiful, and smart. The supporting characters are amazing. I liked this engaging story. Stella Bloom and Jason Clarke did an excellent job with the narration. I enjoyed it! Looking forward for more in the series.

Helena Hunting is one of my favorite romance authors. She gets the swoon right every time! I am thankful I got to be an ARC reader for her with this second book in the Sparks Sisters stories.

After loving When Sparks Fly, Avery's story, I was beyond excited to get to London. Knowing that this was an audiobook made me even more excited because Helena always has the best narrators on her audiobooks! Jason Clarke is one of my favorite male narrators, his voice is just fantastic! I had a hard time with Stella's portions of the recording because it sounded really echo-y and garbled to the point of almost sounding robotic. The only times I was able to get any other kind of inflection or emotion other than straight narrating in her parts was when London was in an anxiety spiral.

In Starry-Eyed Love we are following London, the middle sister, and her job at the Spark House. We know from the first book in the series that London struggles with some anxiety, and that really comes through in this book. We get a vivid picture of all the ways anxiety takes over London's life and how hard it is for her to work in her current role. While London is committed to sticking it out at Spark House to be with her sisters, she comes across Jackson Holt, CEO of a major corporation that is looking to partner with small businesses to help them flourish. Spark House partners with Jackson's company which makes a romantic relationship between London and Jackson not ideal. Of course, London and Jackson just can't stay away from each other for long and we are treated to their romantic relationship.

I love this world that Helena created and the characters in it. I love that we still get to see snippets of Avery and Declan but the times that Avery is on page, she seems like a completely different character. In this story, she's impossible to be around, and really there's nothing likable about her character in this book. This made me really sad because it seemed like between these two books, we're seeing two completely different Avery's. Avery's railroading and disregard for anyone but herself in this book made London's job exponentially more difficult and made their relationship seem like it was just out of obligation and not true desire to support each other.

Overall, this book was fine and I'm glad I read it, and I'll probably read the next book in the series too, but I'm sad with how everything went in this one. It felt like a complete departure from the characters in the first book.
