The story of turning someone down because you recently ended a relationship and you're not ready for another one. Only to discover several months later who you really turned down. I thoroughly enjoyed Starry-Eyed Love as it is one of the few romances that didn't solely focus on the romance, but also captured the struggles London and her sisters faced to keep their parents' dream alive while doing what makes each of them happy. London and Jackson were adorable and I look forward to reading more from [author:Helena Hunting|7226675]. As a side note, having listened to the audio version, I felt the narrator for Jackson was a little offputting and didn't come across as fully engaged as the character at some points in the book.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Macmillon Audio for sharing this amazing digital reviewer copy with me in exchange for my honest opinions.
Thank you for the opportunity to listen and review this book. Unfortunately, this book isn't for me. I made it about 40% through before calling it quits. Thanks again for the opportunity.
I loved the story I'm so happy to read about Londons love story it was so much more than I was hope for however I don't love the guy doing the audio he sounds robotic maybe someone new for the next one but I loved the girl who narrated
Helena Hunting always writes such fun rom-coms and this one was no different! I really enjoyed listening to the audiobook of Starry-Eyed Love. It's the second in a series set around the Spark sisters and Spark House, their family event hotel. Even though it's part of a series, this can be read as a standalone. I loved London and Jackson's story, from their first meeting in a bar to him being the CEO of the company where London is pitching an event for Spark House. They have great chemistry and fantastic banter! The narrators were great in bringing London and Jackson to life.
I want to first say thank you for the chance to read this ARC. This is easily my favorite book of the year so far and may be one of my favorite books ever! It was so good I finished it in one sitting.
This book is full of sisterly love, and witty banter. Not only did it make me laugh out loud but I also shed a couple tears.
The narrators of this audiobook are gold as well! The voice of the male narrator is so sultry and is perfect for what I imagine the character to sound like.
If you like a semi slow burn book with strong family ties this is perfect for you!
This is another top-notch read from Helena. This is the second book in the series but can be read as a standalone. The series follows 3 sisters who are running their family business. This book follows sister, London and how she falls for Jackson, the CEO of the company they are entering into a business partnership with.
It’s a cute read, with some angsty parts, that had me tearing up (which is a big deal 😂). It also focuses on the sisters relationships and how they navigate work and life. It had a very real feel to the relationships and definitely struck a cord with me.
I was lucky enough to get the audio version and I highly recommend it. Jason Clarke does an wonderful job, as always. I know that anything he is narrating I am going to love. And Stella Bloom really brought London to life for me, so much I almost started to cry.
Thank you to Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ARC in return for an honest review. 💗

Helena Hunting returns to her Spark House series with STARRY-EYED LOVE, a fun and touching story that will warm your heart.
When London Spark went out to celebrate her singledom with her sisters she wasn’t in the mindset to accept dating invitations from handsome lumberjack strangers.
Few months later when she’s in a meeting with a multi-million-dollar potential partner she has no choice but to present her business proposal to the company’s CEO, Jackson Holt, the same man who’d paid for her drinks and had asked her out a few months back.
Acknowledging their working relationship, the two are forced to put their attraction no the back burner. But as they spend time together, their connection strengthens and when their professional dealings are over, sparks explode.
Jackson had swoon worthy alpha-male tendencies he had to curve while they were working together. London was a vibrant and determined heroine who wanted to do right by her sisters while trying to balance her own wants.
Together, Jackson and London, not only shared wonderful banter, and intense chemistry, they also knew grief and found common ground in their loss of a family member.
Helena Hunting writes with a warmth that makes me want to snuggle under a cozy blanket and get lost in a world that feels good and comforting. I can’t wait to read the next instalment .
Finally, I can’t say enough about the narrators Jason Clarke and Stella Bloom whose performance pulled me into the story and never let go until the very end.
I really enjoyed this audiobook. I didn't realize it was #2 in a series so it can be read as a stand alone book.
This was adorable!
I highly enjoyed this, with the exception of the obligatory misunderstanding 75% in.
Much love to NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for my DRC.
this was just fantastic. Helena hunting writes books that just sweep you off your feet. this was my first time listening to one of her books on audio and it was just a whole other lovely experience.
I just finished Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting and loved it! The Spark sisters are my favorite, so I was excited to read this second story following London Spark. She is very relatable, mainly because I can empathize with her about the joy and stress of having an Etsy shop. London and Jackson are so adorable! This book was enjoyable and gave me the romantic feelings and some steamy moments I wanted.
Thank you, St. Martin's Griffin and Macmillan Audio, for my gifted copies for my honest review.
Thank you to Helena Hunting, Netgalley and Macmillan Audio for the ALC.
This was an okay romance read. I read the first book in the series and thought it was quite cheesy, but when I was given the opportunity to try this one, thought why not. It was just okay. It was quite cheesy, there wasn’t really much of a plot line, and to be honest, London, the main character, was a bit annoying. Jackson, the romantic lead, was fine, but there wasn’t a lot of depth to him. I also really don’t like romance stories where the “problem” is solved by an ex-girlfriend/boyfriend…. And that’s exactly what happened here. I also found listening to this book sometimes a bit cringy. I like reading romance novels as opposed to listening so I can skim past some of the more steamy parts, but couldn’t do that with an audio book.
All in all, this was fine. But there are definitely better books, and romance books, out there.
This book releases on May 10, 2022. Thank you again for the opportunity to read this book.
LOVE! Starry-Eyed Love is one of those books that made my heart absolutely flutter. This is the second novel about the Spark sisters, and London was absolutely fantastic. I’m so excited that there will potentially be a third book (three sisters, three books, right?).
I loved the combination of family drama, workplace overload, long-distance relationships, and worlds colliding. The romance side of the novel is a slow build between two people who have never really been vulnerable. Did I cry? Absolutely.
The audiobook was great and I love it when books have different voice actors for the different characters. Nothing more annoying than listening to a feminine voice trying to read a masculine role.
Thank you Macmillan Audio and Netgalley for this ARC (or is it advanced listening copy?!) for an honest review.

I'm happy to report that I enjoyed this book more than the first book in the series. I'm less happy to report that this one wasn't anything that blew me away. I enjoyed the book, I enjoyed the romance and the overall story, but there isn't anything in this book that is going to make me hold on to it and think about it later.
London is celebrating after ending another relationship, might she be commitment averse(um, yes)? Her sisters are excited for the return of "Fun London" in place of "Serious London" which is her default while in a relationship. While out she is approached by a handsome mountain man but turns him down.
Fast forward to a potential business partnership that could help Spark House in its green initiative and to drive traffic and she realizes the mountain man is none other than Jackson Holt, the CEO of the company they want to work it.
Of course now that they are in business together romance is off the table. But how long can they fight their mutual attraction. Can London finally make a commitment to someone other than her sisters? Can she stay "Fun London"? Will their baggage, histories and lifestyle differences be too much to overcome?
Things I liked:
The relationship in general
The main characters & Harley
The overall feel-goodness of the story
Things I didn't like:
The male narrators female voices (thankfully used less often in this book than the first)
Avery.
Repetition- I get it London makes puffy stars when she's nervous which is constantly and I understand both companies are green-centered already
After debating on a rating I'm going with 3.5 stars rounded up.
i am a fan of Helena Hunting books. This one i got to listen to. It was awesome.
I just reviewed Starry-Eyed Love by Helena Hunting. #NetGalley
Thank you @macmillianaudio @netgalley for ALC of Starry-Eyed Love. I wasn't a huge fan of When Sparks Fly from a romance book perspective but really enjoyed the sister dynamics and was happy we got to see that in this book.
I love the theme of stars though out the book and remember making those puffy stars growing up. I enjoyed the dual POV and narration. The book was a little slow In parts but overall enjoyable.
This book is a great read. Honestly it was exactly what I wanted it to be. Although this is a sequel or a second book in the series I really enjoyed it even though I have yet to read the first book. This book follows London Spark (a small business owner) who falls in love with a CEO named Jackson. I wanted something easy breezy to read and I feel like this book delivered. Despite the lavish dates and insta-love relationship this book did not seem too over the top if you know what I mean. Sometimes romance books with premises similar to this can seem like reading a Hallmark movie but this book delivered.
It is a dual POV and does touch on the topic of grief (check your trigger warnings) but it does not go too heavy into it. I feel the two main characters have good banter and enough tension to keep you compelled to keep reading. This story would be a great beach read if you are looking for something romantic and fun.
I loved the sisterly dynamic shown in the book it definitely made me want to go back and read the first one and really hope for a third one about the other Spark sister. Thank you Net Galley for giving me the opportunity to read this book!
London Sparks is out her sisters, Avery and Harley, just a girls night, trying to clear her head after a break up. A handsome stranger asks her on a date and she makes up and excuse, annnnything to get out of that awkward conversation and back to the table with her sisters.
A few months later, at Sparks House, where she works with Avery and Harley, she gets a call from a hugeee multi-million dollar company looking for a potential partnership with their humble business. London is ecstatic. At the meeting someone walks in and she can’t quite place her finger on how she knows him - OH MAN - it’s the guy she turned down at the bar. She wasn’t used to seeing him clean shaven and in business attire. And he recognizes her too. Awkward.
Over time to realize that they do indeed have a spark. But now they have the barrier of their companies working together. And Jackson will not mix business with pleasure. When he is finally able to pass the torch off to one of his business partners to try and start a relationship with London some skeletons start falling out of his closet…
London questions if all the time being taken away from her job at Sparks House was worth it…could she really trust Jackson again? Was it even real what they had? How can she tell her sisters she is overwhelmed with all of her work responsibilities as is and that they need to hire out some additional help? And how can she juggle all of that right in the depths of planning Avery’s wedding?
She is in of need a north star to help guide the way…
This book is a glorious slow burn with laugh out loud moments, and a little bit of spice.
I loved catching up with the Spark sisters!! I just love their dynamic, business, and loves lives! London is such a wonderful character and I loved getting to read her love story!
This is the second book in this series and if you haven't read the first one, that is okay you shouldn't be lost. This one is about London, one of the Spark sisters who run a Bed and Breakfast in Colorado Springs that specialize in events but she also grooves with her Etsy makings. She is fresh out of a relationship when a man approaches her and her sisters in a bar and asks her out and she turns him down. Several weeks later when she is presenting for a high power media firm the CEO sits in and takes over the meeting and it just happens to be the same man. Jackson Holt it immediately struck by London and she by him. Will they be able to keep up the business only relationship while working together until after the charity event at Spark House? After that, all bets are off and sparks certainly fly between them. What will happen when the rest of the world weighs in and mistrust comes out to play. Will they be able to salvage it? I really loved this story and cannot wait for Harley's story.
