Having been a Pom mom for years, I thought this would be a fun book to read. The only thing that made it OK was the pictures. I feel like I should apologize but I just really didn't find any value in this book other than a few cute pictures. To me it came off as being more about a spoiled pom parent passing on their story through the eyes of their poms. Come to think of that, it probably would have been better as a picture book, no words🤷

This has nothing to do with the dogs. The images are poorly edited and it really shouldn't be considered a book of any kind. It is like a grandma's scrapbook or a kid's sticker book that you can randomly put images anywhere you like.

Pictures!
Cover. Could have taken a better image without some stranger in the background
1. First picture in and we are seeing hardly any dogs. They are crammed into the corner and instead we are seeing a colorfully lit building that I care nothing about.
2. Looks poorly photoshopped. Why are they not the key focus? I could careless about the boats and sun
3. Once again poorly edited picture of the Poms in holiday outfits by an expensive car. The dogs look like they were cropped from a Christmas picture because they don't even have cast shadows from where they are standing.
4. Random person in an unattractive image. I hope this person never sees this unflattering image of them walking through a crowd with their mouth open. The dogs are out of place again, they are the wrong size compared to everything else (WHAT IS GOING ON HERE)
5. Random photoshoot near the beach of a man and the dogs are not actually there again
6. Money & Sex???
7. It is like a sticker book that you can randomly put stickers of expensive cars and Pomeranians on any page
8. This has nothing to do with the dogs, they are floating in a bush outside a hotel
9. Finally a cute picture of the dogs together on the sofa being adorable babies (FIRST ONE)
10. This is adorable, their little beds
11. Okay, another boat but at least the dogs look like they were actually at this location
12. Should have used a different picture or at least got the entire image of the the Super Bowl
13. Them in the car is okay but they are looking at nothing
14. In the stroller is cute but take out the other two dogs, pole and lady that are doing nothing
15. would have been better cropped down so we don't have random body parts floating
16. random chick in the background distracts from the dogs
17. At the groomers is cute
18. Best picture so far
19 Randomly sitting on a chair together
20. Have them both looking or at least have an interesting background
21. If you are going to have the man's entire body just show his head
22. Okay drag queen
23. Them going for a walk would have better zoomed in closer to their little faces (after further inspection this is the same picture as the cover but zoomed in)

Hopefully this wasn't for children as a target audience. I don't actually know who the audience would be for this.

They are so cute! Perfect for every pomeranians or dog lover in general. It is kept pretty simple with a picture and a caption.

Thank you to Susan Marie Chapman, Sugar & Cookie, Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), and Netgalley for this eARC in exchange for an honest review!

This was a super cute and super quick read! I can easily picture this book on my coffee table. Keeping Up With The Pomeranians is an adorable picture-heavy book that follows Sugar and Cookie, two Pomeranians, as they enjoy their day in Miami Beach.

However, despite its cuteness theme-wise, the pictures themselves are something to be desired. Some of the photos appear a bit "off", likely from photoshop. Some of the photos appear as if they were taken on a low-quality phone, while other photos looked a bit more put together/professional. The strongest photos were the ones that focused on the dogs themselves, with the backdrop of Miami Beach as an afterthought (instead of the reverse). In addition, the pastel page colors also distracted a bit from the focus of the book: the dogs.

Ultimately this is a cute book for anyone interested in a quick and funny read.

I saw the cover of Keeping up with the Pomeranians and knew I had to look at it!! I loved all the pictures of Sugar and Cookie around Miami! I was jealous of their high glamour lifestyle!! very cute.

Adorable! Perfect gift for any puppy lover. A little over the top but anybody that’s been to Miami knows that’s the norm there. So these puppers fit in perfectly.

Keeping up with the Pomeranians is a cute book about Sugar and Cookie—two pomeranians. It gives us a look into their daily lives along with cute pictures of them. I liked reading this book, but I expected something more—more text I guess? But overall, it was a simple read.

This is a photo book that can be read in a few minutes as it has very little text. I would say it's more of a book about Miami than Pomeranians. The dogs are not front and center in most of the pictures, and the shots are not particularly high quality. The pictures are mostly of various sites and activities in Miami with the dogs usually off to the side. A book called "Keeping Up With The Pomeranians" should offer more info about Pomeranians and better quality pictures in my opinion.

I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley. My review is voluntary and my opinions are my own.

This is a cute fun picture book of two adorable Pomeranians living it up in Miami Beach, Florida. It will make a great gift . Enjoy

The dolly babe drew me in to read this one! This book is full of cute pictures of two Pomeranians don't different things. I wouldn't necessarily Venmo this book interesting, but it was definitely cute and adorable. Fans of cute animals (especially Pomeranians) will definitely enjoy this one

I requested this book because it looked silly and fun. It's mostly pictures of some very cute Pomeranians doing different daily activities with a few lines of text. A five minute read and quite cute but not really something I'd recommend.

This book really piqued my interest so I just had to take a look. It could make a funny gag gift for a friend but I do agree with others. It needs to be of better quality if the price point is going to be so overly expensive. As it is, I'd take a look, see the price, then put it back.

For those who don't know, Pomeranians are small, very fluffy dogs with a lot of character. This book consists of 29 pages with pictures of a pair of white poms in various situations, with simple text - usually just a few words in between.

Pomeranians are cute, and unsurprisingly, they look cute in these pictures. But... you can buy a calendar with pictures of poms for much less, and get bigger, better quality images. You can look at images of poms online for free. For it to be worth buying this book, the images would have to be particularly high quality and/or unusual, or there would need to be a clearer story or more interesting information. The pictures aren't that great - if you leave aside it's not really possible not to make these dogs look cute. I have taken far better pictures of my own pom, and I certainly wouldn't consider those worthy of someone paying to look at. Many of the images are badly photoshopped - again, if you're going to charge for something, you need to do it better than an amateur.

Ultimately, this is not worth paying for. Not even as a gift for a Pom owner. Yes, Pomeranians are cute - but you don't need this book to see that.

Adorable! This was a very fun honor book and I enjoyed it. This would be the perfect book for a pomeranian lover or just a dog lover in general. There really isn't much more to say other than this book was just really cute and really fun.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love animals. And particularly my dog, Eddie. Eddie is a Pomeranian cross so when I saw this book on NetGalley, I knew I had to have a look, even if it isn’t my traditional cup of tea. With an open mind, and a belly full of potato wedges, I sat down to experience these floofs (or should it be flooves?)

This book made me laugh far, far more than I expected. As a gay man, it may be the way that the Poms are personified in exactly the way gay people I know behave, with staring at hot guys and being hungry for money and sex.

Keeping up with the Pomeranians is hard to do. But, you can at least try. XO

Sugar & Cookie

The book is formatted beautifully, with a wonderful pastel background and a single photo on top of it, coupled with a page with a short, and often funny, caption. The design is simple and effective, with no pretense about it at all.

This book really encapsulates how I imagine life in Miami to be, and it does so in a way that’s deeply enjoyable, if not the longest in duration. With the friends I have, I know they would also love this as a coffee table book.

A cute gift book kind of thing, where Miami Beach's two hottest properties prove to have more brain cells and a more interesting existence than the entire Kardashian empire put together. These two gorgeous little Pomeranian dogs get everywhere, the boutiques, the beaches, backstage with the drag stars... There's far too little about this, being a couple dozen pictures, and some very ropey Photoshopping, and a tiny little caption in an acre of blank space on the facing page. But it is still likeable – as a piss-take it's the least catty possible (perhaps because they're dogs, d'uh) but it's still as close to actually being the next big thing in reality lifestyles as to make the people it's lampooning wanting in on it. Don't expect anything worth shelving next to Chekhov's "The Lady With the Dog", and you might enjoy this too. Three and a half stars – but that's from seeing it as a review file, and not paying well over twenty bucks for a copy.

Sugar and cookie are the cutest Pomeranians around. Cute photos of the dog accompany the writing. It was fun to see "keep up" with the dogs busy lives.

This reminds me of looking at magazines when I was a kid. It was so sweet and I wanted to play with these poms so bad!

Review to come May 23rd on blog/Goodreads.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange of an honest review.

A book I just had to have! I just LOVE dogs, hope one day to add a little furbaby to my family, and this one sounded really adorable. The title made me laugh, that is a nice reference right there. XD I was curious what these doggos would get up to in Miami. What kind of fabulous things they would be doing!

And they did a lot! From checking out hunky other dogs to going to the beach to manicures to meeting people, there doesn't seem to be a boring moment for these puppers! I really had fun seeing what they were doing and looked forward to what would be next.

HOWEVER, and this was a big thing for me. The pictures didn't feel natural. At points clearly you could see photoshop (which isn't bad, but if done badly.. it is bad), at other times the photo quality felt more like a cheap phone's shot than a good camera shot. I would also have like a bigger variety in poses. Maybe not always put them together, but have them do things separately. Like with spa day, you can have your dogs do so many poses and you can make really fun pictures with those, like make your dogs lie on their backs, add some cucumbers, some more pampering and voilĂ . I loved seeing them at the beach, but would have loved to see them run around or have fun. It just missed a spark. And it isn't the dogs. The dogs are freaking adorable. Exactly the kind of dog I would love to have in my life.

So yeah, cute idea, love the title, dogs are freaking adorable, loved the little texts in between telling us what is happening in this big city, but the pictures and the poses just didn't work and since photographs are the biggest part of the book... yeah. :|
