Death on a Deadline was a great historical mystery. The book was very well written and it kept me intrigued until the very end.
In this story set in Europe and the Pacific, World War II is underway.
The town of Progress wants to help the soldiers so they organize a county fair only to have it be damped by the murder of Freddie, a B-movie star. As the investigation gets underway, Irene finds that there are multiple suspects
Great story!!

Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read this book. This is my first time readying Ms. St. Anthony and I enjoyed the use of real news of the war combined into the mystery story. The characters are likeable and the story engaging.
