Jasmine Guillory always writes the best books and this one was no exception! The love story was great and it was even more fun that it took place at a winery. I think the story could’ve focused less on Elliot and instead developed the romance more, but otherwise I really loved this book. Another quick thought is to perhaps switch the beginning scene and put the one night stand first, and then have Margo meet the new employee. I feel like the beginning scene made it to obvious what was going to happen in the rest of the book.

I really loved this book. Jasmine Guillory is definitely becoming an author whose books I will search out. The story of Margot and Luke is so fun! I love the dynamic between the two main characters. What's meant to be a one off turns into something wholly more. I love how the relationship progresses. Despite the pace it is not forced. You see their relationship grow and you love them both for it (you also want to shake them each a few times, but that just makes them more realistic). This was a great story start to finish!

If you love wine, you'll probably like this even better than I did! Margot Noble runs a winery in Napa with her brother. Everyone knows everyone but Margot meets Luke one night, and they have an amazing night. She isn't sure if she should she him again...until it turns out he's her new employee! Lots of tension in this one, lots of crossed wires that seem like they aren't a big deal until they are a huge deal.

Mostly though, I loved watching Margot and Luke fall for each other. Being drunk on love is a really really good thing in this book. Guillory does it again!

This book put a genuine smile on my face the entire time I read it. I love love loved this journey for Margot and Luke and how realistic everything felt. This was such a vivid picture of Napa Valley and what it would be like to visit there. The winery, the Barrel, all of it felt so small town and glamorous and I enjoyed it so much. Overall, this was an epically wonderful romance that had me swooning right along with Margot! 👏🏼

Margot Noble is the CEO and co-owner of Noble Vineyards in Napa. After a delicious hook-up with a man she meets at her favorite local spot, she discovers he is her new employee at their small tasting room. As Margot and Luke fight off their feelings for each other, their professional and private lives become more complicated.

This is not one of Guillory's best. For the first half of the book, each scene with Margot and Luke is followed up with a rehashing of the scene. One from Margot's perspective and another from Luke's perspective. This is tiring and often redundant. The second half of the book picks up, but is ruined by Margot's reaction to the anniversary party. Her reaction doesn't match the confident person I'd been reading about thus far.

You can skip this one, but don't let this deter you from other romance or Guillory reads.

This book was so good because it was lighthearted yet steamy, full of angsty-longing that I was here for! This was a work-place love story with the best backdrop - a winery! Sign me up!

I really liked Margot and Luke. Their cute little meet up, the shock of finding out they worked together, and all the longing that was going on in between...priceless. I think this book is some of Jasmine Guillory's best work because these characters are so relatable and endearing.

I felt like this book had a really balance of sweet and spicy, and I was really impressed with it! I think it will be a great addition to late summer/early fall reading lists, especially with the winery as the background!

This book receives a neutral rating based up0n the fact that it's not my preferred genre, but fans of the author might enjoy it more than I did. The characters didn't feel fully developed and the plot wasn't entirely believable. If you enjoy a steamy read, this will fall into a worthwhile read for you, but it simply wasn't well-rounded enough to capture my full attention.

A cute and easy read that I enjoyed, as all Jasmine Guillory's books are enjoyable, Drunk On Love unfortunately ended up with me feeling that the entire story was rather surface level. I didn't walk away from the story feeling as though I had learned anything about the wine business, and the characters felt a bit too similar to Guillory's past protagonists. A fun and mindless read, but not much beyond that.

I always enjoy Jasmine Guillory but her most recent books have been slightly less up my alley than the ones that came before. I'm glad she's moved to an entirely different set of people with lots of potential for character development (though long time readers will recognize some familiar faces enjoying a wine tasting). Margot Noble co-owns Noble Vineyards with her brother Elliot, a winemaker trained by their uncle who never expected that Margot would co-inherit alongside him. She's a workaholic and goes against type by starting the book off with a hook-up with a cute guy she meets at a bar. But (womp womp) the next day that same cute guy shows up because he's actually a new employee at the winery, hired by her brother while she was away on business. Luke, the cute guy, abruptly left his high paying tech job and moved back home to Napa temporarily, and he and Margot struggle to manage their attraction and keep things professional. Luke has also kind of tangled himself up in a web of lies with his mom, not wanting to disappoint her with the news that he quit his job. Some pretty avoidable misunderstandings, some typical romantic bumps in the road, and so. much. food. (like, maybe even more than is typical in a Jasmine Guillory, which is already a lot). I always appreciate that Guillory deals frankly with issues related to race, and in this book the main one seems to be that it's very unusual for a Black family to own a winery in Napa. Luke is also Black, and a series of microaggressions paired with an overall toxic work environment were what made him leave his tech job. As always, great characters with interesting but realistic life stuff going on. I look forward to more stories with characters from this book!

This might be Guillory’s spiciest book yet, but it retains all the usual sweetness. I really appreciate the way Guillory keeps the couple’s conflict between them so we don’t get an unbelievable love triangle or anything like that. Sometimes people’s own issues are what’s holding them back, not a terrible ex. Get this book. It’s very good.

This was very charming. I adored Margot and Luke and their constant denial of feelings for one another. Also, that cover is incredible.

Guillory has done it again with a terrific plot and wonderful characters. Couldn't turn the pages fast enough - it' really is fun to read one of her books.

I loved this book. It was longer than a typical romance so there was plenty of time joy only to get to know these two and their friends but there was a real growth and arc of their relationship. Jasmine Guillory continues to me one of my favorite romance authors!

Jasmine Guillory is back with another spicy romance. Once again it's a very California setting - Napa Valley, former tech bro, etc. I'm totally here for it. I like the low angst, low drama story, the older woman, and dating my boss trope. And I liked that this is spicier than most of Guillory's previous books.

I love everything Jasmine Guillory writes, so I was super excited for this standalone novel. I didn't love it as much as the titles in The Wedding Date series, this was still such a fun read. Her characters are always so well fleshed out with complex inner lives and the secondary characters can't be beat.

Drunk on Love didn't quite meet my expectations. I absolutely love Guillory's novels, and I love that they are all intertwined with each other. But this one fell short for me. I felt the characters were dull and their development shallow. Margot's story was confusing half the book as I had no idea why she felt so incompetent around her brother until almost three quarters of the way through. Luke's story also felt lame, with his pretend sabbatical and relationship with bff Avery - I just felt like Guillory's characters are typically mature enough to not have to fake a relationship of any sort. The side characters, which she typically hits out of the park (and which contributes to the greatness of her being able to write other books based on these characters so well!), were bland and not excitable. Sydney had potential but her character also fell short for me.

It was a quick read, and I loved the appearance of Maddie at the winery, but it just didn't give me the feels that Guillory's novel always do. But I liked it enough to want to pick it up to see was happening, with no thoughts of abandoning it. She was batting almost .500 for me, so I'm not going to change my opinion of her as an author anytime soon!

This was another super spicy, super fun read by Jasmine Guillory. Margot and Luke have instant chemistry and then things get complicated. They navigate an employee/employer relationship while trying to keep everything under wraps and then realize that not only do they like each other physically, but they also make great friends. This is all set with a backdrop of good food and wine, supportive friends, and complex family dynamics. But it's worth it in the end! Now I need to go to Napa!

Love this one! She did not hold back on the physical but grew the love throughout.

What a wonderful kick-off to a delightful read! The author killed it on the whole burning attraction and deep desire between these two. Smart and steamy got a new look!

Guillory crafted two awesome characters that balanced each other in the most delightful way. Both had struggles hidden away but once the fires started heating up, they were perfectly matched.

The storyline offers a beautiful backdrop, fun, passion, fresh ideas, and an awesome ending for the romance lover in you! Drunk on Love is the perfect title for this story!
