I really wanted to love this book because I have heard great things about Katee Robert, but it’s been languishing on my currently reading shelf for so long that I feel I have to admit defeat.
Court of the Vampire Queen is pure smut, so if you're looking for a very detailed reverse harem with limited plot, this could be absolutely fantastic for you.
Unfortunately, while I’m not averse to smut-heavy books, this feels like the three novellas it started as were bound together with such limited editing that they don’t feel cohesive.

This was a DNF for me. It was waaaaaay too spicy for me and I honestly didn't know what I had gotten myself into, lol. I'm not into smut but thought I could handle one book by Robert as I always hear amazing things but alas, it wasn't meant to be. I can appreciate that she is a good writer for this genre though.

BOY was this SPICY!! I didn't think the plot was as strong as some other books of hers I have read, but it was still enjoyable nonetheless. If you're looking for some good smut, this is definitely the pick for you!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The spice is spicing in this one and I am HERE for it. Katee Robert can write smut like no one else and I eat it up every time.

Sexy, seductive, smutty and the spice was spicing! I think this book was everything I expected but also a lot more spice than even I thought was possible. It is a why-choose romance, it’s very spice heavy but also equally plot heavy, which was spice, lol. There were cameos from others works written by the author which some were friendly faces and some I need to read to see to see again! 5 stars!

Half vampire Mina has no powers and is therefore useless to her father. It's not great shock that she's sent to be sacrificed to the thirst of a powerful vampire her father would love to control. But Malachi doesn't want to use Mina. As Mina gets pulled into a relationship with Malachi, as well as his own complicated relationships with Wolf and Ryland, she learns she isn't as powerless as she though.
This is three novellas combined into a single volume. There's are a few time when that's very apparent with time jumps or summaries of earlier events, but overall I think this collection works really seamlessly, and I loved getting to read all three books one after the other. It's a very fun and very steamy book that ties into some of Robert's other paranormal novels.

Court of the Vampire Queen by Katee Robert is a dark, steamy paranormal romance that combines three of her previously released novellas into one seductive tale. It follows Mina, a half-vampire forced into an arranged bond with Malachi, a powerful but imprisoned vampire. As their relationship intensifies, Mina discovers her own hidden strength while forming deep connections with two more alluring vampires, creating a dangerously passionate dynamic. Filled with spice, supernatural intrigue, and Katee Robert’s signature heat, this book is perfect for readers who love reverse harem romance with a dark, gothic edge.

Long Live the Queen is a captivating, seductive tale that blends dark fantasy, romance, and political intrigue. Mina, a half-vampire caught between two worlds, is thrust into a dangerous game of power when her father offers her as a pawn to the enigmatic and ruthless Malachi Zion. As Mina grows closer to Malachi, her feelings evolve from fear to trust, and soon she finds herself entangled in a passionate, complex relationship with him and his two companions. This enthralling novel explores themes of power, desire, and self-discovery, with a heroine who must navigate a treacherous path to claim her destiny. A must-read for fans of dark, steamy fantasy.

This book is a captivating and immersive read that hooks you from the first page. The writing is beautifully crafted, with vivid descriptions and strong character development that makes the story come alive. The plot is well-paced, balancing moments of tension with quieter, reflective scenes that allow the characters to grow. The themes explored are deep and thought-provoking, resonating long after the final page. Whether it's the emotional depth, the twists and turns of the plot, or the unforgettable characters, this book is a must-read for anyone who enjoys rich, engaging stories. Highly recommended

Nothing about this book was good for me. I really didn't like any of the characters or the plot, I expected a lot more from Katee Robert. Not for me.

No one is here for the plot, but I will say that Court of the Vampire Queen had a pretty engaging one, though it certainly shows that this was a series of novellas pieced together.
Plenty of spice, steam, and blood-sucking - though I would have loved that moody classic vampire vibe from the very start to have lingered a little longer.

I love the Dark Olympus series, so this was a no brainer for me. I didn’t love it as much, but it was still a fun, sexy vampire story - and let's be honest, that’s why we’re here anyway. The plot gets a little much as the story goes on, but the spice was solid and what I expect from this author! If you like vampires and spice, give it a whirl!
I was given an advanced reader's copy via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own

A spicy vampire romance from Katee Robert. I didn't think the plot was as strong as in her Dark Olympus series, but it was a quick and fun read.

This is one of those books I would only recommend going into knowing exactly what it is. It is fully about the smut. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in the right place.
This book is from what I understand previously novellas that have been rebound into a novel length book. This has caused a few issues in the story, information falling off where it should be known, character introductions in odd places. Again, I think you just have to know what you’re reading this book for.
If smut isn’t your jam, look elsewhere. If steam is what you’re looking for read on. You’ll probably have a good time.

Good book that was well written and told a great story. I loved the way that the author wove all the elements of the story together.

Mina is a half breed. Half vampire, half human and always under the father’s control. He’s now used her as a political pawn and gifted her to a dangerous vampire, Malachi Zion, to feed on and impregnate. The hope? That he will then get more power. Malachi is darkly seductive and with an edge, and she quickly starts falling in that web of lust and love. But there’s more to it than just him, and what started as the romance between the two of them turns into Mina’s three lovers. Along the way, she discovers things about herself, not only her sexuality, that she never could imagine and it can change their lives forever.

My first feeling when I started reading this book was that it gave me old school vampire romance vibes and that made my heart so happy. As you can imagine, I’m a sucker for a sexy vampire and have been most of my life. This had just enough plot and was mostly a character driven story. But make it super spicy. I think the fact that it’s written by Katee Robert and it’s a reverse harem should help you figure that out.
However, I also struggled a bit with finding the main characters memorable. This felt a bit like the kind of book that you read and enjoy while you’re reading but then when it was done, I couldn’t remember a ton. And part of that for me was the characters. They’re ok, they have great chemistry but they didn’t stand out in a sea of paranormal creatures. Even in comparison to some other books by Ms. Roberts that I’ve read.
This is also a standalone novel, so it’s perfect if you just want something quick and steamy that doesn’t leave you with any plot-holes or the need to pick up a whole series. Sometimes, that is also nice. Even though I’m a series reader at heart.
in conclusion
Court of the Vampire Queen is a playful and alluringly sexy vampire romance that hits just the spot when you’re looking for a quick and steamy read. Not many standalone paranormal romances out there so be sure to add this to your list. And if you’re nostalgic for that old school PNR vibe, then definitely give this a shot.

Katee Robert is one of my absolute favourites. She is able to mix spice and world-building so wonderfully.

Once again, late but needed to give my review for MY queen miss katee. I am a lover of anything katee robert and anything vampire related so it only made sense that i enjoyed this book and am glad i read it. I read it during the fall time an it felt like the perfect time to read it when it was chilly, the leaes were crunchy, and the spooky vibes were in the air. This books gave me that with a sprinkle of classic katee romance in there!

I found this book fun at first before it became a bit repetitive and lacking in enough plot or unique scenes to hold my attention.

Katee Robert shows she is one of the best at Romantasy with Court of the Vampire Queen. Deliciously sinful and decadent. I was lucky the book didn't go up in flames while I was reading.
