Thank you to NetGalley and the publiaher for giving me this eArc to review.

This is probably my least favourite Katee Robert book but I still enjoyed it! Court Of The Vampire queen collects three books (Sacrifice, Heir, and Queen) that follows the same woman (Mina). I liked all the men that she was paired with even if they did talk over her quite a bit (she addresses this).

It was a fun read but I will say that the vampire bites within this book are orgasmic and makes it so a few parts in the beginning are dubcon. All other trigger warnings are at the beginning of the book.

I always enjoy a new book from Katee Robert and this one was no exception. This book is HOT. Robert cements herself as one of the best writers working in erotica today.

Court of the Vampire Queen collects Katee Robert's novellas: Sacrifice, Heir and Queen, which follow the dhampir (part-vampire) Mina and the three vampires she comes to partner with. Mina grows up mistreated and deemed useless by her tyrant of a father, and the story begins when she's sent to the castle of Malachi, as both food and a means to secure his bloodline. When Malachi doesn't turn out to be the monster she expects, Mina has to re-evaluate everything she assumed about him.

Katee Robert knows how to write smut and there is a gratuitous amount of it in this book. (I mean this entirely as a positive.) There is a lot of bloodplay, a true polyamory (the male characters are as bonded to each other as they are to Mina), and pretty much every kind of multi-partner spice that you can imagine. Fans of hers will not be disappointed.

My only criticisms are that I would have appreciated a heroine that was more emotionally mature and that I found her self-doubt somewhat repetitive at times. I still enjoyed the book thoroughly, and plan to handsell it, particularly to folks who enjoyed Scarlett St. Clair's King of Battle and Blood.

Thanks to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the eARC!

I was sold with the words "Vampire Queen." This was a fun read. The main character, Mina is a half vampire/half human who has been gifted to a powerful vampire by her father. Her father is known for his political machinations and this is just one more of those.

As Mina and Malachi get to know one another, they quickly realize that there is a natural attraction between them. Yet, Malachi is trapped in his home and has been for years. It soon becomes clear that they need to find a way to escape or they'll always be under Mina's father's control. As the story continues, two of Malachi's close vampire friends also enter the story as pivotal players in the plot line.

Basically, as the reader, you need to understand going into this book that it's pure entertainment. It's mostly smut (yep, good old-fashioned smut) balanced out with a little storyline. I enjoyed it because sometimes it's nice to turn off your brain and just be entertained without having to work too hard.

I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. Katee Robert does a wonderful job at writing imaginative characters in different worlds and judging from where I think book two will be set, I anticipate a creative and fun read.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I voluntarily chose to read and review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Ok so with a show of hands who reads Katee Robert books for the plot?

…that’s what I thought 😂 with a couple books aside, I feel like we’re looking to Katee to put a spicy twist on stories we’ve heard a million times and honestly, that is exactly what Court of the Vampire Queen does.

This is certainly one of the smuttiest books I’ve read in a very long time, and Katee writes it well! However this is the compilation of a series of three novellas she had previously released and I felt like it wasn’t edited to make one cohesive book at all.

Each “act” still had the “previously on” type recap that just isn’t necessary if you’re going to publish it as one cohesive story. This book is about 500 pages and at a certain point it just felt too long and like it was dragging.

However, it’s still a fun and fast read and I’ll always love Katee! Thank you to NetGalley for the arc in exchange for my honest review!

From Lala's Book Reviews

I would like to say that this is my favorite book that I’ve read by Katee so far! I’m not sure if it’s because it’s a shorter book or the amount of spicy scenes or what, but this book really had me hooked.

Mina was sent by her father to Malachi as a gift of sorts for blood and a means to have a child.

All her life, Mina was drilled into her by her father that her life as a half human, half vampire was worthless and nothing more than producing children and providing blood, but Malachi is determined to prove that his growing feelings for her has nothing to do with how special her blood is.

Just as Malachi’s hold on his thread on holding back with Mina, Wolf comes into play and effectively stirs up trouble that pushes everyone together with the message that another friend is coming.

When Rylan comes, he tells Malachi and Mina that there’s a possible way to free Malachi from his curse that bonds him to his house, but everything comes with a price that not everyone is willing to pay.

Sacrifice is the first book in the series that is full of romance, politics, and secrets that will keep you up at night to finish not only this book but the whole series!

Thanks so much to the publisher and to NetGalley for giving me access to this book. I have patrons that will enjoy this book and I will recommend it to them. I wasn't as impressed as I hoped to be. It focused on the intimacy between the sheets as opposed to ... a plot.

Having read Katee Robert's Dark Olympus series, I was expecting a lot. Court of the Vampire Queen is a compilation of the Bloodline Vampire series: Sacrifice, Heir, and Queen.

While the tags are hilarious (MMMF, sword cross guarantee, forced proximity, sex magic, blood heals, orgasmic bites, gotta murder up my dad to free my men, queen me bitch), it wasn't quite up to the Dark Olympus standard. If you're looking for a spicy, paranormal romance with substance and high-brow literary prowess, this isn't it. But it's interesting none-the-less.

This book started with being straight up SPICY and I was not prepared for this 😂
The tension between Malachai and Mina was well done for me until Wolf came into the picture, this man took all the attention and I loved how unhinged he was!! add in Rylan to the mix and the combo is straight fire.

There were times where I wished Mina would act stronger but then again it was all a build up for the final act. there were also little tidbits for the other monster romance series and frankly I LOVED and ate it up when Azazel showed up. not to mention the climax was amazing and I honestly didn't think Mina had it in her.
all in all, I absolutely loved Katee's writing and how it had my attention from start to finish.
This book is out and available for purchase on all platforms now. I definitely recommend having a go. 😉

HOT!! Very erotic! Can you say smoking?
3 male vampires and 1 female, half human and half vampire. Mina's father is in charge of a vampire community and he rules it with an iron fist. Not a nice man at all. He sent Mina to Malachi to get pregnant.
Malachi is not a vampire to be trifled with. He rules with an iron fist and has a reputation for the darkest of sins. But the longer Mina spends with him, the more she realizes he's not the monster she first thought—and as fear bleeds into lust, then trust, then something more, Malachi opens Mina up to a world she never knew could be hers for the taking: including the love of Malachi's two closest friends and companions. we meet Wolf and Rylan, who are part of Malachi's past and old vampires. When these 4 form a bond then a whole slew of things happen.
When I first started this book I didn't thhink I would like it as much as I did. The writing was great and the storyline sucked me in.
This is not for the faint of heart. A lot of sex with all 4, swearing and rude comments. But it makes this story work.
Thank you to NetGalley and Sourcebooks for the kindke to review.

** Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.**

Katee Robert is definitely one of the top queens of steam of in my opinion. I fell in love with her writing with the release of her Dark Olympus series and just had to jump on the chance to read her latest work.

Court of the Vampire Queen follows Mina as she traverses her life as a dhamphir (half vampire, half human) who is given as a "gift" to Malachi, the last vampire of his bloodline. While she was meant to be used as her father's tool to bring Malachi to his side, the two begin to develop feelings for each other. Feelings that are further complicated when two vampires from Malachi's past join their family and Mina discovers that she isn't what she always believed.

In all, I found Vampire Queen to be an entertaining and highly steamy read. However, there were times when it felt like the plot was an after thought to all the sexy bits (and there were a LOT of sexy bits). The story is told entirely from Mina's POV, which I felt hindered the narrative as Mina's thoughts were often stuck in a loop. When you have four characters vying for your attention, you want to hear from those three dark and brooding vamps.

Word of warning: this is a book about vampires. If you are not okay with blood and blood play, this is not the book for you.

However, if you like a hot reverse harem...you may want to check it out.

Been craving a good vampire book and Katee Robert is the best so I knew I wouldn't be disappointed. I have had this on my list (before it was republished) for so long and once I saw it was getting republished and had a new cover, I had to jump on it. This book had just amount of blood lust and smut.

Thank you #netgalley for an early read of #courtofthevampirequeen

I'm rating this 1.5 stars, rounded up, because the last 20-30% was actually pretty good, and I liked the idea of the plot.

Court of the Vampire Queen is a spicy reverse harem paranormal romance. We follow Mina, the daughter of a powerful vampire, who has been traded to an equally as powerful vampire, Malachi. The sole purpose of the trade is for Mina to be used as a walking blood bag for Malachi, and for her to give birth to his child. As she hasn't got any powers of her own, her father treats her as disposable.

The tables turn when Mina falls in love with Malachi, and his two friends, forming a powerful bond as she unearths her hidden powers.

This book just throws you straight into the smut, with literally no introduction. I don't mind smut, in fact I love it in books, but I also like a bit of plot, and also the smut has to be good. This was not good. Mina orgasming at a drop of the hat put me right off, and I was so confused by her personality. Plus if I read about someone putting something 'blunt' somewhere one more time, I was going to throw the book at the wall. Seriously who describes a penis and fingers as blunt.

Malachi, described in the blurb as "darkly powerful and dangerously seductive", was the biggest wet blanket I've ever had the misfortune of reading about. The only dangerous aspect about him is that he can light your fireplace for you and tend to it without needing new wood. Like honestly.

Negatives aside, I enjoyed the idea of the plot. While it wasn't executed to its potential, the concept of one vampire attempting to take control of other powerful vampires was enjoyable. Mina's secret power was an interesting twist, although the method of revealing the powers was questionable.

Azazel was the best character, he was a badass and also strangely fair all at the same time. A demon who trades favours for years of service was an intriguing concept, and I would've liked more of him (more than the random chapter at the end of the book).

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read and review this one!

Barely any plot and zero character building. All the smut. Threesomes galore. If you are looking for a book with the most outlandish sex scenes (vampires, blood, etc) then this is for you. The book is all explicit sex scenes (ok 90%). Wowwwwie. I really needed more plot to recommend this one.

‘Court of the Vampire Queen,’ by Katee Robert— REVIEW

OOOOH, this book was spicy! I have never read a Katee Robert book, but I knew her reputation for spice.

Reverse haram ✔️
Vampire magic/ sex/ shenanigans ✔️
Spice/Steam 🍆🍆🍆

I got exactly what I wanted out of this book! It was a good time, and a quick read that kept my attention.

Out now, be sure to check it out!

Which Katee Robert book should I grab next?

This book included one of my least favorite tropes in romance books so I unfortunantly did not love the book. I also thought the plot was very hard to follow as it was mostly smut (which is fine but when it makes the plot confusing, I don't like it).

“A Smutfest of Epic Proportions” – Kirkus Reviews

Yes, yes indeed! I love smut and I’m obsessed with vampires so this was right up my alley. If you want a smutfest with vampires, this book is for you!

“It being vampires also allowed me to up my bonkers game and lean hard into the kind of spice that you just can't pull off with normal humans,” -Katee Robert

So, yes, this is all true. Bonkers and spicy! Not the typical normal human spiciness, for sure.

Let’s be honest - I will read pretty much anything Katee Robert writes. I love her writing style. I love the story lines. I enjoy the paranormal/fantasy/mythology/etc. aspect of whatever book I’m reading. She’s an auto buy author for me. Court of the Vampire Queen was no exception.

I would willing read the weather report daily if Katee Robert wrote it. In a time of spicy romance, Robert reigns supreme. Having read multiple of her series, this one is a bit different. The reverse harem for sure is a new touch. I also appreciated that she added trigger warnings at the beginning of the book. at this point in my reading "career" nothing really scares me, but for those who might be new to the genre or are expecting Twilight for grown-ups, this title gets very spicy, very quickly. My only real complaint is that the books feels oddly broken up. It's almost as if each section was supposed to be its own title. Things are unnecessarily repeated in a way that you would normally see when there is a larger amount of time between publishing. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the series and would love to see more of Mina and her men.

Wowza! This was a super steamy book! This is the compilation of Sacrifice, Heir and The Queen. I had read Sacrifice so when I started this book I was thinking this was familiar! Super excited to have them all in a physical book!

Mina is a useless half vampire sacrifice sent by her horrid father but as soon as she enters Malachi's home everything changes.

This MMMF vampire romance gets spicy fast! But there's so much emotion and back story for each character in their quadruple(?). They are all so different but add so much I don't think I have a favorite between Malachi, Wolf and Rylan.

Thank you sourcebookscasa and netgalley for the e-ARC for my honest and voluntary review.

Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? This is vampire smut. You know it, I know it, Katee knows it. And it is great smutty smutty smut! Is there a plot? Yes, there is, and it’s good. But the sexy times are what we’re all here for, and Katee does it so well! For being over 400 pages it’s a quick read and I was thoroughly entertained!

FYI this was previously published as three novellas—Sacrifice, Heir, and Queen.

Thank you to NetGalley for this advanced reader copy. All opinions are my own.
