So if you like a reverse harem with orgasmic vampire bites this book may be for you…

3.5/5

Katee Robert did not disappoint with the smut in this book talk about steamy 🥵 I learned that she had originally release this book in a 3 part series but I think as one book it fits better.
Each of the guys brings their own personality to their little harem so you’re getting all different kinds of spice. This book also gave me chosen one vibes. Was a super easy read but if you’re not a fan of blood and erotica read with caution.

So speaking of blood, I love a good vampire romance as the next gal but there was way too much description of blood with the sex in this book for me, it’s probably the Virgo in me just picturing all that mess 🙃😅 I also think the female MC needed a smidge more dept and tbh she seem pretty naive walking into her situation. She really went from 0-100 with sex and was fine with pretty much everything? I feel like you’d be a little freaked out at some point, maybe? And as much as I love sex scenes I do need a little more storyline to follow through…

What kept this book really thriving for me was the relationships between the guys, I liked that there was a past to them and they already had their own story and you can’t tell me MMFM isn’t hot 🥵

Without spoiling anything there was a particular trope that pops up that I’m not a fan of so that was a 👎🏽 for me #iykyk

Honestly is she chose to she could keep going with this story line. We get a snippet at the end of a future glimpse which was cute but I def think there could be more… 👀

I received this Digital ARC for an honest review provided by Netgalley!

Okay so this was the book I didn’t know I needed.

I’ve been a bit over vampire books for a while but i found this one to be quite fresh. It’s super spicy, fun and easy to follow. The spice is well written and enjoyable. The plot is well thought out and the characters are interesting.

I recommend this for someone wanting a bit of spice and to reignite their love of vampires.

Thank you to Katee Robert, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and NetGalley for a digital ARC of Court of the Vampire Queen!

This book follows Mina who is a half vampire, half human who is given to the powerful and dark vampire Malachi by her father. Mina expects to be used for her blood, body, and eventually killed, but the longer she spends time with Malachi she realizes that what she has been raised to believe and told is not all that it seems. Mina finally finds her place with the three men where they try to escape from her father, figure out the connection between them all, and the strange new power inside Mina.

I enjoyed this book because it was highly spicy with attractive, powerful vampires. I loved the chemistry between the characters, but I felt that some of the other elements of the book were lacking. I found myself wanting more knowledge of the side characters, world-building, more plot, and more details. About half of the book is purely lust filled scenes (which I LOVED), and every thing is rushed to finish up the ending. The climax of the book fell flat for me and it felt too easy.

I would re-read this book purely for the spicy scenes and chemistry of the characters, even if it is not plot heavy. If you like spicy, MMMF, blood-thirsty vampires with powers, then I recommend this book!

I was willing to look past the fact that of the three instalments of this bind up, Acts I and II were basically 85% sex. Barely any plot to be seen or detected. I was willing to accept that. But then, not two chapters into Act III, something that was stated outright in the final chapter of the part before is suddenly.. not a thing. Okay. Tiny bit of double-take side eye. But then a few chapters later, two pages apart, a thing was said and then contradicted. Again. Eye twitch.

Listen, I know this is an ARC, but these stories existed before this bind up. Maybe there was no editing done beforehand but you're telling me no editing was done before this republish? Not great. Also, before anyone yells at me, this bothered me to such an extent I went to my library, checked out the original published version, and the error is there, too. But maybe (m a y b e) the final release of this will tidy it up. Who can say.

But anyway, what's this story about? Vampires, dhampirs, and more, oh my. It's about an unwanted woman, destined to be a pawn or a sacrifice, finding there's more to her than anyone thought. And falling into the laps of not one, not two, but three vampires, and the bond -- mystical and otherwise -- that connects them. That's more or less the be all end all of the plot, though. The rest is just sex sex sex.

While Act III, unlike the two that came before, had more plot.. it wasn't the kind that did much with the story that came before it. There are a lot of bits we never learn about, parts we're apparently just supposed to go along with, and other minor irritants. All the sex aside, it did feel like the early parts had more time given to them, despite the lack of character development of backstory. Whereas the final was just kind of rushed along. Which kind of applies to the whole storyline, really. Everything happens really fast (granted, these are all novella length, so yeah, everything being fast makes sense, I guess) but I also mean timeline-wise. In the sense that no time at all passes. Also, only one of the three men has any real personality. And unfortunately that lack of character applies to our lead, too.

This could've been good. Maybe not great but decent. But overall, errors aside, it just misses the mark. I wish the author would've taken the opportunity to tidy things up while also fleshing everything out a bit before repackaging this. Alas..

But if you're looking for a relentlessly spicy/zesty/insert euphemism for much sex-y time, with a bit of magic and blood and mayhem mixed in, this might be for you. Also if you've had any experience with the author before, I'm sure you know exactly what you're in for.

This book is an amazingly spicy why choose novel that drops the reader into a world with a rich vampire history. The spice starts at the beginning of the novel and ramps up from there. The plotting is well done, but this is not a story for those who aren’t all in on MMMF romances, blood drinking, or violence.

Mina is a likable character, who occasionally becomes annoying with her lack of belief in herself. Her transformation from sacrifice to lover to woman in her power is not without stumbling blocks. The men who surround her each have their own thing to contribute to the relationship, and those contributions make it clear why each one of them is a part of this relationship.

My only real complaint about this novel is that the plot of the novel is pretty slow in the first half and then really picks up in the second. Part of this is essential to creating the relationships between the characters. The second half of the story has the pacing of a heroic quest and the first half is all about creating the paramour relationship.

Forced proximity leads to some tense, but steamy moments. I wholeheartedly recommend this to those who enjoy monster romances, sexy vampires, and women who can be both strong and submissive.

Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Casablanca for the ARC to this book.

If you’re in the mood for an extremely spicy book, this should be your next read!

This is a MFMM erotic romance, and the author does put content warnings at the beginning of her books, so please take care before reading. Also to note, this is a repackaging of three novellas into one book. So there are instances where background information is repeated.

Mina, Malachi, Wolf, and Rylan have an insta-lust, relationship that morphs into something much more. Learning to trust each other and love each other while protecting their bond makes this book very fast paced.

This is definitely not a plot heavy book, but it definitely grabbed me right away, and I could not put it down. I read it within a few hours, and it definitely has me looking to the spin off series to read more by this author.

This is some of Katee Robert’s best work and my favorite work of hers to date. This is the spiciest, strongest plot, and strongest world building I’ve seen from her. It still feels like classic Katee Robert, it has all the fun and breeziness I expect from her while also showcasing less repetition and more thoughtful story telling than I’ve learned to expect.

As for spice, this FMMM poly story starts with spice in the first 10 pages. She does a thorough job of weaving in the magic and powers of our characters into the spicy scenes, exploring different dynamics between characters and combination of partners, and there is so much fun and affection between our main characters. This is a genuine poly relationship where all individuals have relationships with all others and as a group.

The plot development is not complex but the relationships dynamics have more nuance and progression than I’m used to seeing in her work and that makes this an enjoyable read.

As for the world building, this helps add more to the universe that overlaps with her Deal with a Demon world. Really enjoying the way she’s building and playing with the world she develops.

I don’t often buy physical copies of books after I’ve read a digital copy but I will definitely be adding this to my shelf. Very excited for the release of this gem.

No major critiques. I would encourage writers like Katee Robert to find ways to stop using the language of FMMM but I understand the intended ease the shorthand provides.

I received this digital ARC through NetGalley. Thank you to all the made it possible to read this early.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. Wow okay.. so for my first sexy type book this was really intense. I really enjoyed the intimate parts of the book, it was filthy but not overwhelming gross with the language. I did not enjoy the storyline very much, however. About halfway through the book I was already done with the plot and found myself wishing for it to be over. Then the ending happened way too fast with very little detail or reasoning. The ending is happy but I am confused still as if I should be happy with it. I would recommend this book just for the intimate scenes only, as they are many in this and of all great variety. Maybe if I reread it I may understand the plot and characters more, but at the same time, I feel like I got everything out of this as I possibly could. Thank you, NetGalley for letting me review this book! This is a must-read if you enjoy erotica.

Thank you Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. It was okay for what it was, PW very little P. It became obvious that this was initially three novellas smooshed into one book. In each new section a lot of time was spent retelling of the events that happened a few pages prior which took away the momentum. Personally I think Ms. Roberts and her editors should have rewrote some of it to make it feel like one cohesive book instead of three in one. It would have given them more of an opportunity to get to know some of the characters a bit more than just the surface.

There were also times where they would introduce a character who was barely there for like a few chapters and then they disappeared to someplace dangerous and I found myself asking after the protagonist made a stink about it "Was I supposed to care about them enough that this is supposed to devastate me? Cause it's not." I wasn't really into the sex scenes which seems to happen every other page in some sort, but it was definitely spicey which seems to be the point of the book. The bit showdown was very fast like it was an after thought (like oh yeah this was supposed to happen, I should just throw that in at the end)

I would like to thank Katee Robert, Sourcebooks Casablanca, and Net Galley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my review.

I had never read a book by this author before, so I was not sure what to expect. The synopsis sounded very intriguing: a woman who is half human, half vampire sent to live with a vampire for his use.

The book was written very well, and the story line moved along at a great pace. There was a lot of smut included in this book from the very beginning. I do wish that it was also listed in the genre of erotica, as I was not prepared for the amount of sexual encounters that was in this book (about 75% of the book). I also wish the world building aspect of the book was featured more and from the beginning, and characters were developed more fully.

Mina is half human, half vampire and all she ever wanted is to escape her father’s control. She has no powers, so her father has never given her much notice. Mina is then given over to Malachi Zion, a very powerful vampire, as a part of another political move of her father. However, he didn’t count on them catching feelings for each other and for her to uncover more about her lineage…

Not sure this is my cup of tea. Not a fan of how Mina doesn’t seem to have a choice in anything. She’s forced to live with a vampire she doesn’t know and is ambushed as soon as she walks in.

Court of the Vampire Queen is a very sexy read with lots of steam. I loved the chemistry between the characters and the undeniable chemistry. The story really hit the ground running. The main characters are trying to free themselves from being victims while trying to manage the passionate connection they share between the four of them. I like that the end hints at a possible next book.

This book is definitely not for me book. But if you love smut, vampires with fun powers, and poly-relationships (MMMF) then you would love this!

Do you like vampires? Do you you like menage erotica? Do you like women finding their own power? Then this might be for you.

I believe this book is Katee's Bloodline Vampires series compiled into a single novel, and possibly reworked (I couldn't say) to connect to the Deal with a Demon Series. And, honestly, that connection is the thing that was most exciting about this book for me.

The first two thirds are very heavy on the erotica and bonded mates thing, and the last one or two thirds gets more heavily into the worldbuilding (because the characters spend more time apart and have fewer opportunities to, uh, bone).

It was entertaining, it was highly spicy, but this probably won't be a book I revisit. If, however, there's a sequel, I might be interested.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Any time I pick up a Katee Robert book, I am always prepared for a thrilling sexual adventure. This book did not disappoint. I love all the characters and their kinks. Makes we wish vampires were real and three incredible hotties were single and ready to mingle. *insert tinder account info here*. This book is a fun, spicy read that will make you blush and make you want to say “ohhhhh yaaaa.” 10/10 recommend, maybe not to anyone with a heart condition but hey roll the dice, it’s worth it.

I had zero context going into this book, and just requested the ARC because it's Katee Robert! This appears to be standalone but I feel it could expand into a series. Having no context, I realized about 10% of the way into this book that this should be categorized more as erotica than romance--the sex happens early and often! I will say this is quite long and could be cut down a bit, but if you're a fan of Katee Robert's other works--particularly the Neon Gods series or the Wicked Villains series--you'll definitely enjoy this!

Is it hot in here… 🥵🥵 I am a sucker for most of Katee Roberts work however this book didn’t really hit like the others I’ve read. I wanted to like this book and I was really excited about the storyline however in the end I feel as if I only read about sex. It left me wanting more from the storyline and more character development.

I do think there is a lot of people who will enjoy this book, unfortunately it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Casablanca for providing a free ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Phew, the mistress of spice is at it again! Katee Robert delivers another sizzling romance, this time with vampires, lots of vampires! I appreciate how this author is able to deliver the spice and an exciting plot while also creating characters that you get invested in. This book starts off hot and just gets hotter, highly recommend!

At this point, I would buy Katee Robert's grocery list! I have yet to read a story that i haven't immediately fallen in love with. As always, fabulous characters, an amazing world and a none stop, page turning tale I can't read fast enough!
