An interesting read. This book was exciting on one level, but concentrated too much on the physical aspect of the relationships in the novel. I liked the premise but would have preferred a more developed plot. The characters were interesting and you did go along with their plot line and want everything to be resolved successfully in the end.

Oh, I really enjoyed reading this book. I only read the individual installments of this book earlier this year, but to have them all together was really great! I love this world and these characters, and I'm really hoping that we'll get a series out of it, to follow other Bloodline vampires, like Wolf's sister, because I think I saw that could happen...

Mina goes on such a journey in this book, and the titles of the sections show this off, of sacrifice, heir, and queen. She goes from having no power, to having all of it, and that comes with several adjustments, not to mention the guys in her life!

I love how we quickly develop the relationship between Mina and the guys-the chemistry is off the charts, but that it takes time to get to know them. And while we don't learn all of their history, they've been alive a long time, we know them enough to root for them and Mina to work out!

I'm excited to see where this series could go in the future. There is the spin off series, A Deal with a Demon, and Grace's story is currently planned for book 3, so we could learn more there. But it'd also be great to learn more about the bloodline vampires, since we follow 4 of the bloodlines here, so we didn't hear about 3 of them...

This was a really great read, and I hope that we do get more in this world!

If you’re reading something written by Katee Robert, you have to know that she will bring the HEAT!

I had no idea what to expect when I dove into this one, but I knew I would enjoy it, because I love Katee’s Dark Olympus series. She did not disappoint.

In Court of the Vampire Queen, we start off with Mina, who is a powerless dhampir (half human, half vampire) that was given away to Malachi, a bloodline vampire. She is given to him by her father to give him an heir, and then probably be disposed of.

As I’m sure you’ve guessed, Malachi and Mira quickly develop feelings for each other. But to add to the fun, we also slowly meet Wolf and Rylan, who round out this spicy polyamorous relationship.

I really enjoyed this book, and loved that every time they had a bit of piece, things went wrong and they had to rely on each other for safety. The only issues I had were that there were some continuity errors between Act II and Act III. I also would have liked to see Mina grow more into her powers and have control over them.

If you’re looking for a super spicy, polyamorous book with lots of biting, then this one is for you!

Three Powerfully Alluring Vampire Men
And One Queen to Rule Them All

All Mina ever wanted was to escape her father's control. Half human, half vampire, she lived eternally torn between two worlds, never fully experiencing the pleasures of either—until her father chose her as the pawn in his latest political move, gifting her to the darkly powerful and dangerously seductive Malachi Zion.

Malachi is not a vampire to be trifled with. He rules with an iron fist and has a reputation for the darkest of sins. But the longer Mina spends with him, the more she realizes he's not the monster she first thought—and as fear bleeds into lust, then trust, then something more, Malachi opens Mina up to a world she never knew could be hers for the taking: including the love of Malachi's two closest friends and companions.

Now surrounded by all three men, the center of their shockingly seductive world, Mina may finally have the power to face down her father and take back the life—and crown—that by all rights should be hers.- Goodreads

A short review because this book was terrible. The characters especially Mina and Malachi were just badly written. There was this huge vague run-around between everyone about this big secret that no one wants to talk about but needs to talk about for their survival.

Mina whined a lot. Even at the end of the novel, she was just whining to be whining. It was frustrating to read because the author could have made her much stronger in personality or at the very least much more interesting.

Then attraction was only due to the fact that dudes were vampires. Not because of anything else which made the romance part of the novel cringy. The one thing I loved about this book was it jumps right into things as in real time. I love that with books and throughout the novel, they talk about history.

I like reading Katee Robert's books. But this one was a huge miss, wasn't fleshed out and felt like a rush job.

Overall,

1 Pickle

This one is hot! Hot! Hot! I couldn’t put it down. Our heroine is strong and stubborn but growing into herself. Our heroes are alpha men, loyal, and playful. I was not sure about her time with Grace. It felt thrown in there. I may have skimmed through that part. Without that part I may have given the book a 5 but with it I give it a 4…

I actually read the three novellas that make up this collection earlier this year and I didn’t really like them. They were my first experience with why choose?/polyamorous romances and I think I judged them far too harshly.

However, revisiting the Bloodline Vampires after reading many of Katee Robert’s other works and becoming accustomed to these kinds of books, it was a really good read! Obviously, most readers are here for the spice, and that is impeccable, but the plot was engaging and thoroughly enjoyable as well. I loved watching Mina’s journey to take her rightful place with her men supporting her along the way.

For those familiar with The Dragon’s Bride, this one introduces the reader to the demon world and there are a few familiar faces as well. It’s hot, it’s fun, I definitely recommend!

Thank you so much to Sourcebooks Casablanca and NetGalley for the advance copy of this book!

Court of the Vampire Queen takes the novella of the Bloodline Vampires and puts them all into one collection. Each act is the different novellas Act I is Sacrifice, Act II is Hair, and Act III is Queen.

These Acts tell the story of Mina a half vampire, half human, maybe ;) who is forced by her abusive ruling father to to live with and hopefully breed with Malachi a trapped bloodline vampire. Malachi's two bloodline exes, Wolf, and Ryland enter wanting to break Malachi from being trapped in his home and win him back. Through a series of sexy events all the vampire men can't resist each other or Mina and wind up magically bonded. In order to maintain their sexily ever after they will have to kill and over take Mina's father's rule.

This book is mostly about the smut does have some plot to keep you reading and then does tie into the beginning of another Katee series "A Deal with a Demon".

Enjoyable and binge worthy read. Critique for this would be Mina's inner saboteur got quite tiring and wish she took learning her powers more seriously and grew into a stronger character earlier vs in the last quarter of the story. Also since this combined three novellas into one story would have like some edits to not reference past plot as much.

Leave it to Katee Robert to give us a reverse harem book with vampires that freaking slaps. Court of the Vampire Queen follows Mina, who only ever wanted to escape her father’s control. As half human, half vampire, Mina has lived her life eternally torn between two worlds. When her father chooses to use her as a pawn in his latest political move, Mina is gifted to the darkly and powerful Malachi Zion. Ruling with an iron fist and with a well-known reputation of dark sins in his past, Mina is sure she won’t survive him. But the longer she spends in his presence, the more she realizes that what society sees isn’t the real deal – and that Malachi is far from being a monster. As lust turns to trust and eventually love, Mina finally finds a home: not only with Malachi, but with his two closest friends and companions. Surrounded by her three men, Mina finally finds the power to rid the world of the real monster: taking down her father and taking what’s rightfully hers.
Heavy on the smut, light on the plot, this is the perfect way to get started with Katee Robert if you haven’t had the pleasure of reading her books before. Since this is a bind-up of the previously released three novellas, the story moves super quickly and we get right into the thick of it instead of getting boggled down with info dumping. Instead, Robert seamlessly combines the intrigues and political schemes of Mina’s father with the consequences it has for not only her and her siblings but for vampires like Malachi and his closest friends. But of course, the romance takes front stage in this novel and I’m not mad about it. From Mina building a trusting bond with Malachi and being taken over by lust to…getting to know his two friends (who are amazing), this book delivers on the spice. If you’re squeamish when it comes to blood play and biting then this might not be the book for you, but if you ever wanted to see three vampires and a half human, half vampire get it on, then you need this book in your life. Aside from the smutty side of things, we also have wholesome “if you touch her, I’ll kill you” vibes (we love to see it) and sweet moments between the four who plot to take on Mina’s father and make Mina the queen she was supposed to be all along. As always, Robert’s female protagonists have agency and the themes of empowerment and personal growth are strong and make for a great reading experience. If you’re a long-time reader of Robert, you’ll also see tiny hints about other stories in her universe (The Dragon’s Bride, for example) which I loved because it’s such a cool thing to make the connections while reading and wondering how other series will develop in this world.
If you’re in the market for a compelling reverse vampire harem story, some smutty goodness, the iconic “if you touch her I’ll kill you” trope and “overthrowing the patriarchy” vibes, then Court of the Vampire Queen is the book for you!

The synopsis for this book sucked me in! I was excited for the vampire aspect and the reverse harem integration. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish reading this book. I felt the beginning just dropped you into the story and I never got enough background to sympathize with Mina. It made it hard to continue reading the story through her eyes. If you love vampires and reverse harems I definitely suggest you give this book a try, because it could be the perfect book for you.

3.5⭐️ The one thing I didn’t realize with this book is that it is a reverse harem! That would have sold it to me quickly but I will read anything Katee Robert writes. This book is full of smut yet a basic plot line. Everyone is saying it’s all smut no plot but there is a plot.

Mina has been sold to a vampire by her father to produce an heir. She finds out more parts of her heritage and decides to take her father down along with her 3 men. They all work together to become free of her father and have sex along the way. What more can you ask for?

Thank you NetGalley for giving me this book for my review!

Thanks to NetGalley, Katee Robert, and Sourcebooks Casablanca for this ARC. Court of the Vampire Queen will be out September 6th, 2022.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Tropes: Reverse harem (MFMM), monster romance, vampires, forced proximity, pleasurable bites, sword crossing, breeding
Thoughts: This book legitimately opens with the MC getting eaten out on the floor of some derelict house, so if that sounds up your alley this books is for you. I was excited to pick this book up because I enjoyed Katee’s Dark Olympus series. What I didn’t realize was this was an older work that is boing republished into one bind up. I realize now that I don’t vibe well with her older works. Thats not to say this book isn’t good it just isn’t my cup of tea. I would suggest this book to the BookTok girlies for sure and anyone who enjoys tons of on page sex.

Please check TW!! There are too many to list in this review.

This is one of the most erotic books I’ve ever read. When you first open the book there’s a lot of warnings for triggers so just be warned. Mina is half vampire and half human, and her vampire father gives her to a bloodline vampire- Malachi, hoping she will get pregnant and that her father can control Malachi. But while she’s with Malachi she meets his two best friends and decides she’s on their side. There’s also a bit of mystery because her blood is better than other dhampirs. This book starts off hard and keeps it up the whole way! Enjoy!

Katee Robert's knocks it out of the bedroom park once again! This book was a spicy, saucy and fun read with it's twists and turns while keeping the tenseness of the events throughout the storyline. A great amount of steam, a heavy hit of plot and all around just a great read!

Court of the Vampire Queen by Katee Robert is a bind up of her Bloodlines series, which consists of three novellas. In this book, we follow Mina, a half human, half vampire who has always felt rejected by both worlds she exists in. Mina’s father decides that the only thing to do is use her as a pawn by gifting her to the dark and brooding pure blood vampire, Malachi. Pretty soon Mina finds herself in deep with Malachi and his two closest companions as they open her eyes to a world she never knew and maybe she is more powerful than she ever thought.

I am a huge Katee Robert fan. I have read so many of her books so I was excited to see this three book story of hers being bound up to be sold in stores! I think anyone who has been a long time fan of Robert will kind of know what to expect going into this book. A lot of spice throughout with some interesting story thrown in. I do wish there would have been a little more of the vampire lore and story because I loved her take on it. I would have loved to learn more about the powers of the different Bloodline vampires.

I think someone who has only read her Dark Olympus series may be disappointed in this. I love seeing how much Katee Robert has grown as an author and I think she has finally found the perfect way to right a book that is both spicy and contains an exciting story. I think you can really see her growth through this series as the last book had a great balance.

One thing I was not expecting in this book was an introduction to a character from her “Deal with a Demon” series. That was super fun to see. I love how she interconnects her worlds in her books in a way that doesn’t take away from the reading experience if you haven’t read everything but really adds to a fun Easter egg for her long time fans.

I would recommend this book to anyone who has read a lot of Katee Robert’s backlist and knows what to expect from her. Or if you are just looking for a spicy fun time with some vampires that’s enough to get anyone’s blood hot ;)

I love Katee Robert's books. The worlds that she creates draw you in and have you addicted to the characters. Court of the Vampire Queen did not disappoint! It’s every guilty pleasure you want in a romance times three deliciously hot vampires. It had great characters and they felt like real people with real problems. I really had a great time reading this, it was different than most reads but a lot had elements that I saw in previous books. This was a really well done novel and I finished it as soon as I could because it was so good. I can't wait for more from Katee Robert.Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC!

The Court of the Vampire Queen was somehow not at all what I expected, but also exactly what I expected from Katee Robert's latest. I really enjoyed the detailed world-building and the emotional development of the characters. I didn't realize going into this book that there would be a sort of polyamorous arrangement/ multiple sex scenes with multiple partners. Although I wasn't expecting it, the book is incredibly well-written and has a ton of steam! If you like books that are heavy on the sex scenes but also have a legitimate plot, then this book is for you!

After being sacrificed by her abusive father to an unknown vampire, Mina discovers a life full of passion and acceptance with the vampire and his two friends/former lovers.

I absolutely loved the world building and the tie-in to another of her series. Mina, our narrator, is so determined and strong-willed, but also struggles with feeling like she's enough (thanks to the abuse she received from her father). Sometimes, authors aren't able to strike the right balance between a character being flawed and harping on those flaws, constantly bringing those flaws into the light. Katee Robert definitely found the right balance. Even when Mina was struggling with her self worth, I never got annoyed or thought to myself "yeah, I know, I get it, move on." And the men, especially Malachi. They are so swoon-worthy and help to create the space for Mina that she needs.

The spice in this book, in my opinion, is top tier. It starts VERY early on and continues through almost the entire book, but doesn't keep the story from moving forward. It's a lot, but again, Katee struck the perfect balance.

This is easily one of my favorites by her. The only thing I didn't love was the recapping of events at the start of Acts 2 and 3. But since that was such a small part, it's not worth docking stars.

This book is a must read, I could not put it down, I finished it in two days. The spice was just fantastic but the plot as well made the story even better. Mina with her men were absolutely fantastic, if you love vampires and FMC finding themselves and a sexy 4person couple than this book is for you. Katee Robert’s never disappoints with her books but I have to say this might be my favorite book yet.

** Received a copy for review.**
I really love Katee Robert. However, this book just didn’t work for me.
There are a lot of personalities and relationships but the plot is very thin.

Phew this one was steamy! If you like some plot with your erotica then this one will be up your alley. The spice doesn't hold back and gets into it (literally) from the get go. It's a mmmf RH and does have a fair amount of m/m scenes so if that's not your thing steer clear. I loved the supernatural vampire plot and liked all of the three main MCs. The female MC was a strong character who held her own against the men. It reminded me a little of Lauren K Hamilton. I've read a fair bit of Katee Robert before so I knew what I was getting going in and this one didn't disappoint. I look forward to reading more by this author and would pretty much read anything she writes.
