Fast paced enthralling story about love at first sight and a baby on the way.. nice read. This book shows the changes that can happen to bring about love.
Leslie North is the pen name for a critically-acclaimed author of women's contemporary romance and fiction. The anonymity gives her the perfect opportunity to paint with her full artistic palette, especially in the romance and erotic fantasy genres.
The truth of the matter is she loves her fictional persona, Leslie North, more than her normal, day-to-day persona! Her bestselling books focus on strong characters and particularly women who aren't afraid to challenge an alpha male. Inspired after years of travel, her stories are set all over the world, from the tough streets of Russia to the beautiful beaches of the middle east.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Erin and Kam. They meet at a party, there was an an instant attraction. Erin is a lawyer and Kam is the sheikh of his country. Erin and Mam have a one night stand, he has to leave because of u rest in his country. About a month after Erin starts having morning sickness, she is pregnant. When Kam finds out he immediately sends her to his country. They each have their issues but together they work them out to fall in live.
Another hit from leslie north. I love a stubborn sheikh and American romance. This was short and sweet easy to read within the hour. Definitely enjoyed
A beautiful book. Insanely romantic and utterly convincing. A bitter-sweet pang in my heart. Four stars.
Not my typical read, but I wanted to try something new. Alas, the love interest was simply not for me. Well written, however!
The Sheikh’s Pregnant Bride (The Jawhara Sheikhs Series Book 1) by Leslie North

The Sheikh’s Pregnant Bride is the first book in The Jawhara Sheikhs trilogy by Leslie North. This book introduces the reader to Sheikh Kamal and his brother Sheikh Khalil.
I am so torn by this book! I thought the story was wonderful and I loved Erin, but I thought Sheikh Kamal was a total jerk. (His actions reminded me of "Not Without My Daughter".) I kept reading, hoping he would redeem himself and even though Erin forgave him, I am still holding a grudge.
I'm hoping to see a different side of him in future books (fingers crossed).
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I’m so loving reading about Leslie North and her Sheikhs. This is a fast paced easy quick read, action packed, drama filled, suspenseful, mystery, romantic all the makings of a great plot. Erin is a lawyer doing great working pro bono cases. Erin’s and her cousin Shira are roommates and Shira talks Erin into attending a party with her. While at the party Erin and Kamal who is the Sheikh of Jawhara see each from across the room. Erin and Kamal have an instant attraction to each other and end of sharing a passionate night between the sheets. Erin has no idea that Kamal is a sheikh. Kamal gets a call to return to Jawhara and Shira decides to tell Erin who Kamal is. Erin finds out that she is pregnant with an heir to the throne of Jawhara. Kamal and Erin are different as night and but they seem to make it work.
Waiting patient for book 2 featuring Kamal's younger brother Khalil and Erin's cousin Shira. These brothers are fierce. I'm team Kamal and Erin.
This a great read with two opposites attracted to each other and getting an HEA.
Thank you to netgalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me access to this book to read. I have seen this online so I was intrigued to be accepted to read this as an eARC.
I have loved many of Leslie North's books and usually, they are very great mood boosters although this one was a miss for me. The main male lead was unbearable with controlling behaviour that wasnt addressed and absolutely no compromise between the characters she just gave in to him and allow her to trample all over her views. Although she went out and sorted out the refuge she still allowed him to balm this in her which I didn't like, she was said to be opinionated and stubborn but was not shown when she allowed him to take over her life. I also didn't like that at the end he said he would find her a job, something about it just made me irritated.<br>I liked the epilogue although the father felt a little like he owned the children didn't bother me, I will be reading more from Leslie North because I like her books but I think this one just didn't hit the mark for me but maybe another personal favourite.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the first in a new series. This is Sheikh Kamal and Erin, Erin is an attorney. Kamal doesn't tell her who he. Instant love and a baby on the way. I liked it but found the ending to be quite odd. Kamal turned out to be very bossy. 3 stars. I think most romance readers would enjoy.
Oh wow, that was unbelievably short. The story had just started and then it was over. The character building had basically not happened at all. Kam and Erin just found out they were expecting and then the book was over. It was just plain bad. I found myself hoping it would get better and then the epilogue smacks you right in the face. I waste 45 minutes of my life. The smut wasn't even good. Blah, that was disappointing.
Kam is the ruler of Jawara. Erin is a lawyer for a nonprofit. They meet at a party. There is instant attraction. They go back to her apartment and have sex. He has to go back to his country. He leaves a bodyguard and a limousine for her to use. She is very independent. She becomes very sick and finds out she’s pregnant. He immediately has her brought to his country. He takes over her life. There are many disagreements. He feels she doesn’t respect his position. Finally they share their feelings. I love Leslie North’s books.
I really enjoyed this book I thought the storyline was compelling and the characters were well written. However I didn't like how weak the female protagonist was and how she basically rolled over for everything he said. Itn would have been a higher score if I didn't dislike her so much
The hero is a heavy handed sheik who controls his one night stand when he finds out she is pregnant. Erin accepts him making all her decisions for her easily. The plot is interesting but the characters irritating.
I kept waiting for Erin to put Kamal in his place. She thought about it a few times but never did. I was disappointed that she let him make all of the decisions for her and them. Hopefully book two will have a lady with a solid back bone.
When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect book to snuggle up with on any day. Falling more in love with this author every time I pick up one of their books.
This book was incredibly readable, I did want a little more from it though. I'm not normally a fan of this sort of story, but enjoyed it none the less. It could have been built up a bit more, there was little character development and the ending was really abrupt, but when it was steamy, it was steamy.
