Thanks to Netgalley for this adventure.
A sweet story about friendship. Little Polar Bear Lars and Little Sasha meet, they are both lost. In helping Sasha get home, Lars makes a new friend.
I loved the illustrations as it told the story well. Seeing one in need and acting on it is a great virtue to teach our children. It also leads to many adventures.
A special thank you to North South Books Inc and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.
This is a sweet book about friendship and helping those in need. Lars the little polar bear from the North Pole was searching for a snack when he happened upon a scared and hungry Siberian tiger cub named Sasha. Sasha had boarded the train to go to the end of the train tracks in search of the ocean and was now lost. Lars selflessly decided to help Sasha find her way home. During the adventure, they quickly bonded, with Lars taking on the role of big brother. Along the way, they met several other animals who helped them safely along their way. When Lars finally returned to his own home, he had a new appreciation for the ocean that he had previously found mundane and boring.
The moral of the story indicates that if you work to help those less fortunate than yourself, you will gain a new appreciation for what you have.
Like other books about Lars the little polar bear, the illustrations are adorable with attention to every detail.
The author lists this book for children P-3.
The best place for this book would be on every child’s, grandparents, school library in early elementary school bookshelf.
I received this advanced reader’s copy from the Author/Illustrator Hans de Beer, North South Books, and NetGalley. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.
A sweet book about friendship, helping one another, and appreciation! The art is absolutely stunning. I especially loved the last line and accompanying drawing, just lovely!
Forget it. I am loving this series so much!
The illustrations remind me so much of the Disney animation movies I grew up watching. It's that good.
The story is about a little tiger cub getting lost in the wild and our fluffy snow white bear helping him find his family.
Such a cute little story. I am crying here. The kids will love this one!
Thank you, North South Books Onc, for the advance reading copy.
Another adorable adventure of Lars the youngling Bear. Now he found and help a Tiger cub. Their story and illustration totally cute and my kid love them so much. Their journey to find home not easy but they learn to help each other and be brave.
I received a free copy of this book, my opinions are my own.
What a cute story about Lars the polar bear. He meets a lost tiger named Sasha and has to help her get home and find her parents. My daughter really enjoyed the story and loved the illustrations.
A beautiful tale of unlikely duo on a journey focusing on empathy, sharing, and friendship. The illustrations are a stunning match for the story
This is a sweet story about a polar bear, Lars, helping a lost little tiger named Sasha find its way home. This would make the perfect bedtime story that your children will want to listen to over and over again. The illustrations are so detailed and add so much to the story.
This was such a sweet book. Lars, the young polar bear, helps Sasha, the lost Siberian tiger cub, find her way home. The two embark on an adventure where they meet a wise owl, catch a ride on a camel, and balance on a narrow log bridge to cross a ravine. They finally find Sasha’s parents, and Sasha and her dad then escort Lars back to his home.
My 4-year-old twins enjoyed this story and the beautiful colorful illustrations. One of my twins was even asking for a baby tiger by the end of the book : ).
Thank you to North South Books and NetGalley for this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
A story about a little tiger’s interest in the world and the lessons a little polar bear learns from them. It is also about finding help in places you would least expect it.
A cute book about a little polar bear who helps a little tiger find his was home. My 5 year old loved the story, and the illustrations were beautiful. With a solid message about helping, cooperating to accomplish big things with help, and appreciating what's been taken for granted.
Such a cute short story! Absolutely loved the illustrations, they were really adorable! Suitable for children (or an adult like me) with lovely messages.
The story of a siberian tiger who gets lost and ends up with the little polar bear at the north pole. Little polar bear helps him find his way home. On their way, they see all kinds of places and meet some other animals.
This is a lovely book with beautiful, intricate illustrations. However, it's not the kind of book you'll really read more than once and I'm not sure all the messages are good ones to portray to your kids. Four stars.
Little Polar Bear Take Me Home was such a cute story of a tiger who gets lost and finds his way back home with the help of Lars, a little polar bear. They meet a few other animals like a camel and an owl along the way, who help guide them. The illustrations were simple but lovely. Easy to read and not scary!
We follow Lars the little polar bear as he stumbles upon a lost little tiger who got lost while looking for the ocean. The little polar bear helps the tiger find his way home safely and we are taken on a mini-adventure with kind animals along the way who help the little animals find their way. Once again we have a beautifully illustrated book but the story felt a little long winded. It's a cute, one-time read, but not something my daughter would love on repeat.
In a kind of a mirror piece to the original story in this series, our little polar bear finds a stowaway in a train wagon, who proves to be a baby tiger wanting to see the ocean. The drama as a literal translation of the title "Do You Know the Way, Lars?" would imply, is whether he can get the critter back with his father safely. It's actually quite a silly plot, involving too much to-ing and fro-ing, and sudden arrival of animals who have no problem helping our heroes out, but it's alright for the target audience. For once the text didn't read as belonging to a different age bracket to the visuals and plotting, but it still didn't strike me as a classic. A solid three stars, mind.
