Hot, steamy, and ridiculously sexy but what else can you expect from Lynsay Sands?
I’ve been obsessed with this entire series since I was a teenager and every book just gets better and better.
Lynsay Sands is an amazing author that never fails to entertain & make you laugh out loud & this book is no exception!! Enforcer Valerian finds his life mate Natalie but has to be patient in claiming her after the tragedy she’s been through & her adorable little girl Mia. In addition, she’s in danger & needs protection. You’ll be hooked from page one & won’t want to put the book down. I have to mention Sinbad, the adorable dog & Mia’s protector. You will laugh out loud with “BTDD”, a definite must read!! I received an arc from Netgalley & the publisher for an honest review.
This is book #35 in The Argeneau series and follows Enforcer Valerian as he is tasked with protecting Natalie and her daughter from a possible serial killer. Natalie is the owner of a golf course and one evening while mowing the green she is attacked, Valerian who was finishing up his round of golf witnesses the attack and comes to her aid. While trying to help her Valerian discovers that he can not control her which means he may have finally found his life mate! I always enjoy these books, they are one of my all time favorite series and every book as just as good as the first! I especially love getting to see past characters as well as the fact that these stories have over arcing plots so the books are connected. However, this one is a good starting place because the story is a new one and the only spoiler would be seeing a few of the couples from previous books. If you are looking for a fun paranormal romance series with excellent writing, great action and swoony romance than I would highly recommend this one! This one is out September 27th but the previous 34 books are already out. Thank you Avon for my gifted copy for review!
Ahhhhh this was just such a great read. I just didn't want this book to end and I was sad to turn the last page. I'm so excited to see what's next from this author.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this title given to me via NetGalley. I really enjoyed this book. It was really well written and it just had you trying to solve the mystery. I look forward to seeing what’s next from this author.
It’s been years since I’ve read an Argeneau story. So when I saw this one available, I immediately grabbed it. I was a little worried I might be lost since I was jumping into the 35th book, but I shouldn’t have worried. There was enough backstory so that I was able to effortlessly reconnect with the series.
In this installment, immortal Enforcer Valerian enjoys teeing off after sunset on the golf course. After three months of playing the course, he finally meets the owner, Natalie, who is also his life mate. It’s unexpected but a connection he cannot deny and will protect. Especially when Natalie’s life is threatened.
I loved Mia and Sinbad. And I loved how Valerian immediately accepted both. Told from alternating POVs, we get to experience not only the attraction to each other, but the forming connections between Valerian and Mia, and Natalie and the other immortals.
There’s a lot of info packed into this story coupled with a mystery that needed to be solved and a twist I admittedly, did not see coming. The pacing kept me on my toes and the writing flowed smoothly. There’s a lot of backstory, family history, and background into Valerian and Natalie’s life to give you a well-rounded view of the story. But I would have liked to have spent more time with Valerian and Natalie together, as a couple and family. While the physical chemistry was there, I wanted to experience more of the emotional connection, especially from Natalie.
There’s a large cast of characters. Many, I assume, who were featured in prior series books. I’m sure regular series readers will get recaps and see their favorite couples again. There were a few lingering non-relationship-related loose ends for me that were introduced here, but I’m assuming they will be touched on in subsequent series books.
Lyndsay Sands does it again, the Argeneaus are back. Book 35 in the series is Natalie and Valerian's story. Valerie a struggling mom and widow who has endured so much with the loss of her son, parents and husband. Valerie has moved back to her parent's golf course and is desperately trying to run it and save money for much needed upgrades. Valerian a working enforcer who enjoys playing golf meets the owner Natalie while playing. Valerian discovers Natalie face down on water and rescues her only to find out that Valerie could be his possible life mate. But now Valerian knows someone is trying to kill Natalie. Could it be the deadly angel killer? Did the angel killer follow him back to his home? To add to the twist and turns will Natalie be okay with Valerian being immortal? Pick up this book today! You will not be disappointed.
Valerian and Natalie
Lynsay Sands and the Argeneau series was my first dive into the world of paranormal romance and after thirty-five books, I am as engaged in this series as I was at the beginning. Each book is different, but still manages to give you all the feels along with a laugh or two.
Valerian is a character we have known since the beginning. He was first introduced in Lissianna and Greg's story. He is a younger immortal who is currently a rogue hunter and makes appearances in several of the other stories in the series.
Natalie was a great character to meet. She is tough as nails and has been put around the ringer emotionally. She has had a tough life and has made mistakes (who hasn't) but is trying to work through them and become a better person and mother to Mia. Mia was a sweetheart and is already going to be so spoiled.
I always love the immediate chemistry between lifemates, but also love how caring Valerian was with Mia and understanding Val was with Natalie and knowing that he would have to tread slowly. There was a small little mystery that follows throughout the story and while parts of it were obvious there were also parts that weren't. We also got to have cameos from beloved characters we haven't seen in a while like Valoree and Alex. Along with old friends we got to meet some new ones like Valerian's sister Aileen and his two cousins.
If you love the Argeneau's you will like this book. I am giving it four stars, but that is because of the erupt ending and I wanted a little more, maybe an epilogue to help tie everything together. This story may set up a few future stories also.
-----Favorite part is how Natalie meets Tybo-----
-----Also want a future story for Sheila because she has been through so much-----
-----Hoping for VASCO (have always been transparent about my love for him) or TYBO (he is so fun and playful) to meet their lifemates next.

Trying to keep this spoiler free is a bit hard because saying why I liked it will give a lot away! Basically there’s a twist in there. And the twist is pretty great and very unexpected.
I love the dynamic between the Hh. They have a very sweet interaction but also very honest. I think they are the more interesting of the couples.
I quite enjoyed this book i really liked the plot and the characters and the ending i did not see that coming at all! 🤯 I really liked the build up and how the relationship between valerian and natalie changed and developed throughout the story i did really like how the story went and how it ended again i did not expect that ending whatsoever. I love how valerian understood that natalie and mia were a package deal and that he couldn't just have one and loved how he was so patient with natalie!
I love the Argeneau series! In this installment, Valerian meets his "LM", Natalie on the local golf course. The rogue hunters are looking for a serial killer and as soon as Natalie is attacked they all move in on the golf course to try to find the rogue immortal they're looking for.
I found it a bit much for *everyone* to be at the golf course and Natalie just ran with it (yes, I know they can control her mind). It seemed like there were immortals everywhere. And they were all around when they needed a doctor, a chef, even a vet. I also never really understood why Natalie's "husband" wanted to marry her so much the he'd control her to do so, and frankly expected there to be more of a mystery about the "husband" than there was.
That being said I enjoyed the book and will keep on reading the series. I can't believe I have to wait another 6 months to a year to read more ;)
Taking place approximately 4 months after Immortal Rising we find that Valerian and the crew are looking for the Angel Maker Serial Killer. Taking time off for he goes back to his farm and goes to play golf at his local golf course owned by our female main character Natalie. When Valerians golf cart runs our of gas he then treks back to the main club house from the 17th hole. He then meets Natalie and when trying to control her to tell her it wasn’t a big deal. When he goes back to the golf cart to retrieve his keys he finds that Natalie has been gravely injured and is in one of the water features. Did the Angel Maker follow him back to his home? Read and find out!! Lynsey Sands never disappoints and is an author I can always turn to if I feel like I am in a book Slump. After The Bite definitely came to me at the right time and was a fast, one sitting read for me that makes me want to read the whole series all over again!!
Lyndsay Sands does it again with more action of the Argeneau kind. Valerian MacKenzie while night golfing discovers the owner of the golf course face down in a pond and rescues her, only to find she's a possible life mate. Someone's trying to kill her, and they believe it's the deadly Angel Killer. It takes the entire Argeneau team to discover the culprit and keep Natalie and her daughter safe, while also trying to help Valerian get his girl. A difficult challenge after her last relationship. I got a few chuckles at the interrupted shared sex and the humorous and human exposure of Lucian Argeneau. Who knew? With every kiss and shared experience I wanted more of Ms. Sands immortals!
I received this book as an arc from Net Gallery and I am voluntarily submitting my review.
Natalie has not had an easy life. She lost her husband, parents and little boy. She moves with her daughter to the golf course her parents owned and is desperately trying to run it and save money for upgrades. It all changes when she meets Valerian. He can't read her which is a sign she could be his life mate. And then the fun begins.
I like the way the author brings previous characters into the book to update you on them and to enjoy some of their quirky habits.
I love this series. And when this book was set at a golf course and Valerian loved to golf, I thought perfect! An immortal that golfs. So there could be one for me. lol
Another great read from Lynsay Sands. The Argeneaus are one of my favorite families to revisit with each new publication. Natalie was such a different character than what you normally see in romance. She had deeps flaws that she freely admitted to and was working to fix on her own. I feel like that is not something you normally see. Valerian was a very typical hero which isn't a bad thing at all.
First off I truly enjoy this series, its witty, romantic and fun to read. Each installment brings something new and thrilling. After the Bite we meet Natalie who is a over worked mom running a golf coarse while raising a toddler. She running a business successfully but also trying to improve it so she can slow down and enjoy spending time with her daughter. Valerian is a hard working enforcer who loves golf and plays at Natalie's coarse in the evening until he ends up saving her life.
These two along with fellow enforcers have to figure out if a serial killer is trying to kill Natalie or if it's someone else and why before its too late. At the same time Valerian needs to find a way to woo Natalie and tell her she is his true life mate. Good luck on trying to figure out who it is and why.
4 stars
This is such an amazing series! I've enjoyed reading this series for years, the Argeneau series has a nostalgic feeling for me. Book 35, is Natalie & Valerian's story, and it did not disappoint. While each book can be read as a standalone book, in my opinion, it's best enjoyed by reading the books in order.
I liked Natalie & Valerian's story. That said, this wasn't the best book I've read in the series. The pacing was a little off at times and the plot was predictable at times. The book starts slowly, moves at warp speed, only to end quite abruptly. I would have liked an epilogue. The ending fell short for me.
I am delighted at seeing some of my favorite characters stop by with life updates. Lucian has always been a favorite of mine, and he's always humorous. Mr Frostbite and BTDD were just hilarious. I'm excited about reading the next one in the series!
Thank you, NetGalley & Avon or Harper Voyager, for providing me with a digital copy, for an honest review.
Natalie has been through one heck of a shock that most people wouldn't have recovered from. It really showed how strong this woman is. Valerian is the perfect life mate for her and a reward she deserves after everything that has happened to her. I loved him for her. I also loved him for Mia, Natalie's daughter. It's not an easy road for Valerian to get her to trust him but I loved seeing him try.
I also loved seeing some recurring characters. His sister was hilarious and I loved how she took right to Mia. Lucian was hilarious in his grumpiness as always, and even the dog was a great character. I just love how unique each couple and book are after 35 books in the series. I've not read them all but it is on my list to do because I've enjoyed every single one so far.
4 Stars! This is such a good series! This is book number 35 in the ‘Argeneau’ series and the entire series can be read as standalone books. I enjoyed this book about Natalie and Valerian’s story. I wasn’t crazy about the ending. I really wish there was an epilogue to wrap up everything. It felt like the whole book was leading up to a big climatic ending but it fell short for me. Still a good read and worth reading. I actually did LOL a few times!
*I received this at no charge & I voluntarily left this review.*
Every one of Lynsay Sand's books is a delightful read. We reconnect with Valerian who has finally gotten the chance to meet his life mate. It is passionate enough with still having a plot. You really want to learn what is going to happen to the characters and their lives. I'm excited to read the next one in the series!
