It will come as no surprise that most of these profiles are feature people fighting to keep their culture, to stop white encroachment. While it is an important collection it can feel a little one note.
This is a great book for children and adults to learn me about Native American history. Definitely recommend it
do think considering the younger audience more photos ( and more colourful - but that may just be the eARC ) would have been better .
I enjoyed learning about 100 Native American who shaped history. I loved how it was broken down it induvial sections about each Native American.
I love history and I loved this book. I've always been interested in Native American history and learned a lot that I did not know prior! Good read! Definitely recommend.
A great resource for teachers and students. The author does a great job at breaking down historical moments for children younger than 10. I enjoyed learning new information about people I have heard about before.
From peacemakers, an officer in the Revolutionary Army, actors and actresses , to athletes a saint to so much more. Native Americans impact on the world as we know it is vast and a lot more than one would think. I was amazed at all the contributions they made, even when they were aware of our back stabbing and treacherous history. They are a very proud people and this is a list we should all be proud of. I was given this book by Net Gally and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Please forgive any errors I am blind and sometimes make mistakes
