Man, Steve-O has been through it all! I loved how brutally honest he was about his struggles. I also was glad to see him take inventory of himself and acknowledge his flaws. An inspiring and funny book.

I was excited to get a chance to read this book because I'd always liked Steve-O. I never realized how much he actually went through, great read.

I am so ungodly endeared to Steve-O. I always have been soft for him, but this book took it to a next level. I love the way he talks about himself, his past, his sobriety, it's all fantastic. Did not like the bit about HIV linked to gay men, but.

I’ve been a fan of Steve-O since his Jackass days. Even when Knoxville and his friends had a forced intervention. Even when he seemed to spin off into deebasaurusness. And especially when I actually took the time to listen to what he meant. He’s incredibly smart, if you disregard that whole seemingly fearless “this is how I die” mentality. And even with that, he’s a smart man. And this book is BRUTALLY honest. He sits in a house full of mirrors here, pointing out every last one of his flaws. How he sees them. How he may be able to work on a few of them while leaving some others to simply be their flawed beauty that is part of him. And even among all of that, he’s utterly enjoyable. And hilarious. I mean, who doesn’t at least worry about getting older? Or losing all relevance in the world? So take your fears, sit and get comfortable with them, and enjoy the ride that is Steve-o’s thought process and humor. Even if you don’t really believe that there’s anything to learn from a guy who willingly takes kicks to areas most men shy away from, I promise that you will. Maybe it’s just how to laugh. Or maybe it’s that you’re enough and that the goal of life isn’t to be the best. It’s to have the best time getting to the best version of yourself.

Or maybe you’ll just feel a little less alone in your mind because I, too have a dog like Walter. He’s big. He’s become a spazzing mess. He’s literally on Trazodone because who knew a gentle giant would become a gigantic Chihuahua with more issues? But this spazztastic dog is still kicking, just like Steve-o’s Walter. And boy, did I feel better knowing that someone else sometimes looks at their dog and thinks, “Yeah, you can maybe croak now.” Then the dog looks at you like he won’t use your furniture as an outhouse and you let those thoughts flit away. So solidarity, Steve-O. Solidarity!

I just finished reading this memoir and highly recommend it to anyone look for a survivor story. Memoirs give me a chance to see the world through someone else’s eyes. Professional Idiot was also a riveting memoir and this one is even better.

This is very classically Steve-O
It’s written with humor and honesty. I loved every minute of it, as will most fans.
