A delight. This book of short poems by Collins is whimsical, tongue-in-cheek and filled with little jewels of poetry. Reminiscent of Haiku and one-line jokes that elicit groans of humorous appreciation from friends, Musical Tables is Billy Collins, but reduced and concentrated like a finely simmered sauce. If you are a fan of his longer poems this book will not disappoint.
