I chose this book because of its attractive cover. The baby is looks cute. I wanted to read it because I couldn’t imagine what this baby would do from the cover. The baby was very free-spirited and his behavior was very cute.
Lumber Baby doesn't want to stop at the end of the day. Nothing his parents do helps him! But his big sister sees what the grown-ups can't!
This cute picture book shows how siblings can be in time already, even when one's still in buffalo plaid diapers! The illustrations are adorable. The rhyme rhythms are fun for little ears. My little one loved the story too.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy via NetGalley in return for sharing my thoughts on this book. Thanks to the author and publisher for this opportunity!
It look some time get the plot. Lumber baby is having a hard time going to bed. His parents couldn’t figure out how to get him to sleep. This topic is relatable.
Lumber baby is so cute in his “boots.”
Lumber Baby is a cute book filled with beautiful illustrations of interpretations of the mischief of the baby who isn't exactly naughty, but who frequently makes parents tired and sleep deprived because they don't know what their baby wants. What I like about this story is how the eldest sibling has devised a novel solution to quiet the baby's excitement at home so that everyone can sleep well.
This was a cute book with fun, rhyming text, colorful illustrations, and a Paul Bunyan reference. I think every parent can relate to this book and how tiring it can be trying to get your child to sleep.
A fun addition to any library.

What a silly story about a bored toddler who refuses to sleep and his distraught parents. Can big sister save the day?! The illustrations are fun and it makes a funny Paul Bunyan reference.
The wonderful rhymes entertain the reader as to how the big sister will solve the night time quarrels of Lumber Baby.
This is a cute book! The illustrations are adorable, bright & colorful and capture the reader. It's a rhyming book about Lumber Baby and him not wanting to go to bed. Every parent has gone through this stage of trying to put the baby to bed. His mom, dad and his older sister are exhausted trying to get Lumber Baby into a bedtime routine. It's funny, cute and his older sister finds a creative and clever way of getting everyone to sleep.
Thanks, NetGalley and Kind World Publishing, Independent Book Publishers Association, for providing me with a digital ARC, for an honest review.
This was a cute book!! Every parent has been through the stage of trying to get a baby to sleep. It was a funny twist on a normal parent experience. The Illustrations were adorable and the rhyming definitely helped make it a fun book to read. The humor was perfect and the ending of everyone sleeping is a parents dream!
An interesting story about how caring a baby is not always easy. They can't talk, they can only cry, so the caretaker must be patiently understand the baby's need. One thing that I want to point out is that this book need parental advisory because it contains an illustration of a baby handling saw and any other dangerous tools.
So cute! A rhyming book about lumber baby and his dislike of sleeping. Then his older sibling figures out how to fix the problem. Lumber Baby is essentially a baby Paul Bunyan. This is a clever little story. and the pictures are so fun.
This was a very cute read complete with fun rhymes on the pages. The illustrations are gorgeous as well. I think that the subject matter is quite unique and delightful. I also like the twist that it has on classic literary characters. Overall, a great read for any parent who struggles with wild tot bedtime!

The illustrations are super cute. The story is fun and entertaining. I think kids will definitely enjoy it.
Very cute illustrations and I loved the easy flow of the rhyming cadence, but I'm a little confused by the bedtime resolution in the end. Lumber baby is exactly like my kids, which they would love!
My kid was delighted! And so was I. Lumber Baby cannot sleep, in spite of all of his parents' efforts. It takes a smart big sister to realize what this little woodman really needs.
My kid and I prefer books with a consistent rhyme and rhythm, and the author has a great feel for both. It helped the story really clip along, and keep my kid's attention. And the story content itself got my kid laughing several times. I can already tell, she's going to ask me to read this again.
The artist did a great job, here. I've never seen a baby look more like a hipster. XD And the parents' slow descent into exhaustion is illustrated masterfully. You can just FEEL their aches and pains as the book continues. The use of textured backgrounds helps provide dimension and attention to otherwise standard household settings.
A lovely little selection for a more handy household.
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was such a fun book. Having dealt with the exhaustion that comes from having a baby, this brought up the positive that come along with the baby as well!
Cute book that I think my 3 year old would enjoy, especially with having a baby brother. I was confused with the title at first, but after reading the book, understood where 'lumber' comes from.
This book was great. I really enjoyed the rhymes and wording. It was very well written. It's such a cute take on a family struggling to get the newest member to sleep, which is a common issue with many families, including mine. The illustrations were really nice, with their greyish backgrounds and pops of colour in the foreground. This was a hit with my family!
A book that will resonate with many parents, especially if their second child who was/is Lumber baby. I like though, that it shows that children can have the solutions to things if we give them a chance.
This is a cute story about a baby who refuses to calm down and go to sleep. The parents try everything, but big sister has the idea to give him tools and his own ox so that he can have fun and the family can fall asleep.
I’m not sure handing a baby a saw is the best resolution for him not being able to sleep, but it sure was an entertaining solution! My 4-year-old twins enjoyed the story and the stubborn baby. Thank you to NetGalley and Kind World Publishing for this digital ARC in exchange for an honest review.
