Good continuation of Shira and Kale’s story after her cousins. Good byplay between characters and character and plot development.
When I think of romance, I think of books just like this one, that gives all the feels and satisfies every romance junkies' heart. This is a perfect books to snuggle up with on any day. This one took by surprise! Leslie North is one of my favorites!
This is a good book. The two main characters are Shira and Kale. Shira works for an advertising company and Kale is the sheikh’s brother. There is an instant attraction. Kale asks Shira to marry him. They fly back to the United States to box everything up. While there they get a call from the sheikh telling them that Shira’s cousin is missing, who is also the sheikh’s fiancé. She has been kidnapped. They immediately leave to return to Kale’s home country.
Book2 in this Leslie north series. This book is a continuation of the Sheikh’s Pregnant bride. This is now Shira and Kale’s story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was an excellent page turner that I couldn’t put down. Short book so devoured in a few hours.
Another hit from leslie north. I love a stubborn sheikh and American romance. This was short and sweet easy to read within the hour. Definitely enjoyed
The idea behind the book was good, the execution, less so. The book was too short for one, and we didn't get to know anyone really. I haven't read the first book, so maybe that's problem, but I don't think that was the reason. It just didn't get deep enough. They were engaged at about 40% of the book and that's way too soon for my tastes. Anyway, it wasn't bad, but I was expecting more for sure.
Thank you to Netgalley, the publisher and the author for allowing me access to this book to read. I have seen this online so I was intrigued to be accepted to read this as an eARC.
I love Leslie North as an author as I would recommend her other series but this book just didn't vibe with me, After reading the first book I thought it was a fluke and wanted to read the next book, but unfortunately, I don't think this series is going to mesh with me the women feel weak-minded and moldable. The men are demanding and don't care what the women think with misogynistic traits and thoughts throughout the book which I am not a fan of. The main female lead I liked but she felt like she was a little bit of an airhead which just goes along with things and didn't even react very much to large scale situations. the main male lead, although I knew he would be like the male in the other book, seemed more sly keeping things from her without actual reasoning and some things seemed glossed over which I think needed to be talked about more than what they were.
Overall I think this book should be rated 2 out of 5 as it was ok but I will not be reading any more books from this series in the future.
Although I liked this book more than the first it was not by much.
This the 2nd book in the “The Jawhara Sheikhs Series”. We have several stories happening at time which is great which prepares the readers for book 3. This is a quick fast paced easy quick read that is action packed, drama filled and a great read. We actually to get to know Erin’s cousin Shira a little better. The rebels are threatening Kamal’s family and reckoning havoc on Jawhara. Erin is brought to Jawhara and is kidnapped. Khalil is Kamal’s younger brother and he is very much interested in Erin’s cousin Shira who has been trying her best to get his attention. But what Khalil doesn’t realize is that Shira is no pushover.
Waiting patiently for book 3 “The Sheikh’s Captive Bride” where we will have the finale and find out all that we have been waiting for.
Will Kamal be able to rescue Erin from her captives, will Khalil find out that Shira is in charge of her own life and doesn’t like being told what to do, will it make for an interesting romance?
A quick and easy read that was romantic and suspenseful. I thought the writing was good and the characters were well developed and there was a good amount of steam. Really enjoyable
Going to an unknown country can be daunting. This is romantic and full of suspense.
Kale is a sheikh visiting the US. He is attracted to Shira and when the heat starts to rise, he is called to his home country for an emergency and has to leave Shira. She is then offered a job in his country. She is surprised at first, but excited at the opportunity just the same. Kale whisks her off as he has plans for her. Will she embrace his proposal? In the meantime, her cousin Erin has gone missing. There is a holy war lurking and she is caught right in the middle.
This book ends, leaving you guessing as to what happens next. It's a light and pleasant read
The Sheikh's Troublesome Bride (The Jawhara Sheikhs Series Book 2) by Leslie North

The Sheikh's Troublesome Bride is the second book in the Jawhara Sheikhs trilogy by Leslie North. This book can be read as a standalone romance or as a continuation of the first book. I have to say I enjoyed this book more than the first!
I thought the storyline in this book was really good. I loved the romance and the start of the mystery & adventure! I liked the characters (this brother was less of a jerk) and found this book easy to read. It is fast paced with a lot going on.
I look forward to reading the conclusion, which should be published later this week!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This book is a continuation of the Sheikh’s Pregnant bride. This is Shira and Kale’s story. They meet when Kale’s company and the company Shira works for put together a PR contract. There is a an instant attraction. Shira is awarded the job of setting up a Satellite office for her company in Jawara. There are sexual situations combined with Erin and Kam’s story. Kale’ get engaged. They must bring Erin and Shira’s possessions to Jawara. Erin is kidnapped. It’s a very suspenseful story. I can’t wait for The Sheikh’s Captive Bride to finish the storyline.
Of course - if you love romance and you love swoon worthy hero’s for their heroines then read this. Emotional at times but I feel like that’s a huge must for every fictional romance book out there. This was actually great. I had so much fun reading and so much fun getting into it. Really - this was super fun!
*** I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review ***
I was disappointed in this book, unfortunately. I did not enjoy how fast-paced the story occurred, nor did I enjoy the writing style. I also felt like something was missing the entire time I was reading the story. Also, the character development was pretty much nonexistent to me, as a fast reader. The idea and intent of The Sheikh's Troublesome Bride was very compelling to me, but overall I felt like the book was just severely lacking. I would not recommend it. I give this book 1/5 stars.
Wow this was such a fun ride: I think the author is at the top of their game. The writing style was what intrigued me the most. I’ll be recommending this masterpiece to everyone I know. One of the best of 2022.
Truly stunning.
5 stars!
A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the 2nd book in a series, and while you can read it as a stand alone, I think it reads better in order. This is a bit different than her usual books, as this is a cliff hanger. The title to me was not accurate at all, I thought Shira was very accommodating. I enjoyed the book and I liked the characters. 3.5 stars
This is the second book in the Jawhara Sheikh series. I would advise you that if you would prefer full understanding and enjoyment of this story then it is impotence to read the Sheikh’s Pregnant Bride (book one in the series). This is because the book picks up right where the other left off, but this one tells Shira's story. I greatly enjoyed The Sheikh’s troublesome bride - probably more so than the first instalment. We get to know Erin’s cousin a lot better as the focus of this story, it is full of drama, action-packed, very face paced, and subsequently it is an easy but enjoyable read. I am excited to read more from North and I can’t wait to read the third book in the series (The Sheik’s Captive)!
