Overall

I honestly did not finish this book, I got about half way through and something about it was just not clicking with me. I received this book as an Arc and in preparation I read Flicker, the first book in the series. Unfortunately, that book was a little bit of a slog for me to get through as well. The world building and writing is a little inconsistent for me and while there was a bit more romance in this one I just kept putting down the book and forcing myself to keep reading.

Recommendation
If you really enjoyed the first novel, I definitely recommend you read this one too. This story just was not for me
