Runaway Groomsmen by Meghan Quinn is a small town, slow-burn romantic comedy that can be read as a standalone. This story has second-chance, love-triangle vibes with plenty of laugh out loud moments that is all Meghan Quinn humor.
In this story you will meet the heroine Fallon and the hero Sawyer. These two lead such different lives but fate seems to have brought them together. Fallon is from a small town called Canoodle, struggling to keep her family business going to ensure its legacy while also caring for her grandfather who suffers from Alzheimer's. She's also in a relationship with a guy who never has time for her.
Sawyer is a screenwriter from LA well known to the media. During the nuptials of his ex-girlfriend to his best friend, where he is the best man, Sawyer simply leaves in the middle of the ceremony and ends up in the town of Canoodle. Here he meets Fallon and agrees to help her with renovations around the cabin. Little does he know that he's met Fallon before, on a blind date.
Overall this was a good read. Great banter and humor. While there was a bit of a slow-burn feel, I feel asthough these two were meant to be. The supporting characters in this story were a blast. Another great story by Meghan Quinn.

Imagine standing as the best man for a wedding for your movie star best friend who ended up with the leading lady who was your girlfriend. Oh and don’t forget that you wrote the script that brought the two of them together. Enter meltdown during the wedding and Sawyer runs off to Cannoodle, CA. Where he runs into Fallon who’s running a rundown lodging, but you also went on a blind date with her where Sawyer was a complete a**hole to her. In this small town Sawyer and Fallon starts to learn about themselves and what makes them happy.

I loved this storyline and the unfolding of the characters. About finding love and not just for another, but your family and yourself.

Thank you #NetGalley for the advance request.

Sawyer and Fallon's story was a wonderful Meghan Quinn story. It had humor, real life scenarios, and made you want to throw the book at times. I really enjoyed this book.

This book was so cute and heartfelt. Fallon is taking care of her grandpa who has alzheimers. She is working hard to fix up the cabins that he and her grandmother built. Sawyer bursts in missing a shoe with so much heart. The romance is slow and so very sweet. There is some spice. I loved the story. If you love a sweet heartwarming romance, this one's for you. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

I kind of feel this book had a lot of potential but a lot of parts was a miss for me, or maybe it was most of the third act.

I loved the connections between the two love stories, it was cute and I enjoyed the premise a lot.

This was pretty cute but not the steam that I usually expect with Meghan plus it was way too long for a romance. I wouldn't necessarily recommend to everyone.

I really enjoyed this one. Meghan Quinn has multiple titles already under her belt but this was the first I read of hers, but definitely will not be the last. I loved the idea of Sawyer not hanging out and acting like he was happy to be at the wedding wherein he was pretty much the laughingstock. I loved the way he continued to show up for Fallon time and time again. It was cute and heartwarming without being too much. I loved it!

Runaway Groomsman by Meghan Quinn is a novel that follows Sawyer Castle as he runs from the wedding of his ex-girlfriend and his best friend and ends up at Canoodle Cove Cabins in the small town—Canoodle, California—a perfect place to hide out. Fallon Long is the owner of Canoodle Cove Cabins and the two develop a working friendship as he begins to help her with her struggling business. Runaway Groomsman by Meghan Quinn is filled with Quinn’s signature humor and style. The novel is fun, hilarious, sweet, and sexy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4 Stars for this cute rom com!

This is a sweet romance that made me laugh-out-loud one minute and then my heart hurt the next. Sawyer is such a romantic even thought his girlfriend hurt him in the worst way. I admire Fallon for putting her life on hold to help her grandfather with his dream of restoring the resort in memory of his wife. The banter is realistic and the situations are everyday occurrences.

Sawyer's long-time girlfriend cheats on him with his best friend and then Hollywood executives make him out to be the bad guy. Sawyer ends up being a groomsman at their wedding, but when his ex-girlfriend starts to spew lies during her vows to another man, he loses it and runs from the wedding in grand fashion. He ends up at a bar in the small town of Canoodle and figures this is as good a place as any to hide out until the story blows over. When Fallon's grandfather gets Alzheimers, she decides to quit her nursing job to look after her grandfather and take on restoring the resort cabins her grandparents owned for most of their lives. They need a lot of renovating to bring them up to date so they can begin to make a profit. Sawyer worked in construction before he was a screenwriter and decides to help Fallon as he has fallen in love with the place a well ... and maybe even Fallon herself.

I really loved this book. It had a second chance spin, small town, and so much heart. I loved Sawyer and Fallon as characters and people, loved the entire town and all the people and characters. Plus it had the most satisfying epilogue that I have read in the longest time. Do not miss it.

Wowza. Meghan Quinn is always one of my favorites. This book was a lot of fun but my goodness did it make me feel all the feels too! Overall, I loved these characters so much. I could have done without the third act conflict, but still a very good read. Despite this book being THICC, I tore through it super fast. Definitely recommend!

What a wonderful story! I have only read one other story by Meghan Quinn but I am going to be adding more to my to be read list. Sawyer Walsh was a great male main character and was swoon worthy! I enjoyed reading about the determination of Fallon and her family's legacy. The town of Canoodle sounded quite charming and a great place to visit! Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for an advanced copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own!

“I love you, Fallon. To my dying day, it will be you and me. I promise you.”

Hollywood screenwriter, Sawyer finds himself as the trending Runaway Groomsman when he ditches the wedding between his ex-best friend and ex-girlfriend in dramatic style and escapes to small-town Canoodle. Here he meets Fallon and he helps her renovate her grandfather's cabins while falling in love with both her and the small Californian town.

- Small town with iconic characters
- Dual perspectives
- SLOW burn with sexual tension galore
- LONG chapters 😂
- Cameos from other MQ series

This was Meghan Quinn like I'd never seen her before. Firstly, this 450-page book was Mariana Zapata-levels of slow burn. They didn't kiss until 76% (obviously I checked 😂) and there was one minimal spicy scene. While I did appreciate that the slow burn allowed them to become friends first and realise their commonalities and chemistry, I do wish Fallon's previous relationship had ended sooner so their relationship had more room to develop.

Nonetheless, the audiobook was fantastic and I really liked the characters. Fallon was so sweet, honest and determined and I absolutely loved how she was doing everything for her grandad, Sully, who had Alzheimer's.

Then you have Sawyer, who turned out to be selfless, a total charmer and a hopeless romantic. The fact he was doing the work without needing praise? The way he loved Fallon (the rocks 🥺)? His relationship with Sully? He was so caring and understanding as he spoke to Sully about his only love story, which mirrored his.

I also thought it was really unique how Meghan had him essentially write a screenplay about Canoodle and its characters in his head, as he found his home in both Canoodle and Fallon 🫶🏻. The small-town vibes and supporting characters were immaculate.

However, my one small critique was that I felt the conflict at the end and the added drama was unnecessary. But overall, if you like small-town romances, this book is for you. Meghan paints a magical picture.

Runaway Groomsman is a very light and fun slow burn romance that is very low on the spice but high on the laughs. This was a sweet love story between Sawyer and Fallon.

We meet Sawyer when he is at the wedding of his ex-girlfriend and ex best friend. Due to their roles in a film that Sawyer wrote, he is forced to stand next to them while they get married. Thankfully Sawyer has his AHA moment during the ceremony and walks out. He ends up in this crazy small town where the mayor is a cat.

Sawyer stays in the cabin that is being run by Fallon. All of their interactions were very sweet and hallmark movie-like. They actually have a past that Sawyer seems to have forgotten about but he does everything he can to make it up to Fallon. All of their touches and conversations built them up slowly but you could feel the intense heat between them. Even though it is low on the heat, I still felt like they were burning up! I mean the hand holding… phew….hottness.

This was very well written and entertaining. Lots of laughs and the sloooooowest burn. I really enjoyed the entire storyline that the book revolved around. The side characters and everything were pretty interesting.

I had a really good time with Runaway Groomsman! It was funny, witty, with the right amount of will they won’t they added into the mix!

We are taken on a journey of self discovery with Sawyer as he has a *bit* of a breakdown at his best friends wedding (for very obvious reasons) and he finds himself in a charming little town called Canoodle!

Sawyer is rescued by Fallon and Jaz who take pity on him and put him to bed for the night after one too many drinks!

From here on in, Sawyer decides to give himself a break and spend some much needed R&R time in Canoodle where he helps Fallon and her family to renovate their cabins in the hope of keeping the much loved small town business alive.

There are some great characters and love stories throughout this book. But the biggest love story for me was the love that Fallon and the rest of the town have for her grandfather Sully who unfortunately has Alzheimer's. For me this was as much of an important part of the story as the developing love stories between other characters and it really added depth and charm into this book.

Whilst I did love this book I felt it could have been shorter and still had the same impact. The miscommunication between the Love interests also irked me a little as it felt a tad unnecessary and created unnecessary drama… but it is a fictional book I guess 🤷🏼‍♀️

On the whole would recommend!
