I have never heard of Buzz Books prior to stumbling upon it on NetGalley's homepage, but this is indeed a great resource to see up-and-coming books. However, I would have liked to learn more about the methodology on the selection and inclusion of the works in this volume, simply to ensure more transparency. I also hope the current cover is not the final one as it looks dreary and is not at all eye-catching.
How can you not love "Buzz Books"? I'm so excited about the books coming up this year! And particularly from new authors (or new to me). This is a perfect way to plan my reading year. Thanks, NetGalley!
This is such a great resource. I can’t wait to read so many of these books. I lol forward to reading these every season.
I am so excited to further explore these books! Standouts (for me personally) are Yiyun Li and Alice Feeney's works. I look forward to reading all the excerpts and making my list to read/buy when they come out. I am so excited for these new releases!
Super helpful! Can't wait to ready all of these titles, especially the debut novels mentioned. The fiction category is also interesting!
Buzz Books is a gem of a gift to readers everywhere. I always look forward to getting a copy so I can plan my reading for the next few months.
Thank you NG and Publishers Lunch for this wonderful resource.
I always look forward to browsing these buzz books. So many favorites on my list to read and new authors to explore. Thank you.
This is a good and clear overview of many interesting titles coming out. It would be good if the overview would indicate what will be exclusively available in the US and what will be accessible to EU readers.
Such a detailed guide for upcoming books. It's great to be able to read a sample and preview upcoming covers. Now to decide what's next on the TBR list!
Fall is a busy reading time for me and "Buzz Books" is going to make it worse. 🤣
My favorite authors' new releases are coming up and I found them under "Notables", "Highly Anticipated" and "Commercial Fiction". There are fifty-nine excerpts in total for Fiction, Nonfiction, Debut, and YA. Although I don't read YA, it'll be helpful for gift-giving ideas. Thank you Netgalley!
I love these Buzz Books that give us an idea of what is being released in the upcoming months. The ability to preview the stories and request the galleys right from the ebook is a wonderful feature.
I found myself requesting four: Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney, The Lost Girls of Willowbrook by Ellen Marie Wiseman, The House in the Pines by Ana Reyes, and When We Had Wings by Ariel Lawhorn, Kristina McMorris, and Susan Meissner.
I love it when the new seasonal Buzz Book gets uploaded, because that means I get to add a ton of books to my TBR and put in some new requests. And there are so many that look like they’re going to be really good in the coming months!
With nearly 60 excerpts and blurbs, and even more titles and authors listed, this is a great way to see what will be published later this year. I can browse authors I recognize as well as find some debut authors to add to my TBR list. An excellent way to start as a new NetGalley user, since there are links to request at the end of many of the excerpts.
I love the Buzz Books offering-this is a great way to get an advance look at upcoming books. I usually end up adding most of the options to my tbr list.
The Buzz Books 2022: Fall/Winter was a good book to check out for upcoming books that will be out in the upcoming months. It's a good way to check out a new author's books with reading a excerpt of the book ahead of time.
Awesome collection that gave me great direction for books to request and read later this year. Thanks, Publishers Lunch!
Not me adding to my TBR and requesting books after reading this... 😂
What a wonderful catalogue! I love how comprehensive it is; there's a concise summary, short author profile, the publisher (which lets me evaluate my chances of being approved of an arc) and most importantly, an excerpt that provides a taste of the writing style so that I know if it's my cup of tea. While split into four main sections of fiction, debut, non-fiction and young adult, the selections themselves are very diverse and from a wide range of genres.
Overall, a useful and fun resource!
Great resource to be able to identify upcoming titles. Helps me see what books I am most interested in so I can request advance reader copies or do preorders. Highly recommend this to get a look at Fall/Winter releases.
A nice preview of this year's fall and winter books! I cannot wait to read all those books mentioned. Thanks NetGalley!
I always deeply look forward to these! It's such a great way to see what's coming out and get a good feel for the books featured. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to add to their tbr or keep up with the latest books.
