Buzz Books is always an exciting preview of the best of the new books for the season and it's FREE!
First introduced for the 2012 Book Expo America, the FREE digital Publishers Lunch Buzz Books has become the place for both industry professionals and book lovers in general to discover and read about the books expected to spark high demand BEFORE they are published!
The Fall/Winter 2022 has too many exciting new books from favorite authors to list here but includes Jeffrey Archer, Kate Atkinson, Russell Banks, David Baldacci, John Banville, John Irving, Cormac McCarthy, Nelson DeMille, Celest Ng, Jane smiley, Elizabeth Stout, and the list goes on. There are also excerpts from next season's best new titles.
I chose one title from each of the four broad categories for my reading list. Fiction: T. Greenwood's SUCH A PRETTY GIRL; Debut: CITY UNDER ONE ROOF (Iris Yamashita); Non-Fiction: MADLY, DEEPLY THE ALAN RICKMAN DIARIES Young Adult; DRIZZLE DREAMS, AND LOVESTRUCK THINGS (Maya Prasad).
Available for Kindle at Buzz Books on Amazon. Did I mention it's FREE!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR AVID BOOK READERS EVERYWHERE!
Buzz Books is such a misnomer for this book. It should actually be called List of Most Anticipated Books. This book has a ton of books coming out in 2022. At the front, it has a list of books coming out with the author. The biggest section of the book contains snippets from some of the books that are coming out. For example, a few chapters might be printed to give the reader a little sampling of what to expect. If you are interested in the book, there is a direct link to NetGalley to request the book. In some cases if you request the book from the link, you are automatically approved.
Alright so what books do I have my eye on? Glad you asked.
Lessons by Ian McEwan. The author of Atonement! I pre-ordered a copy ages ago.
Galatea by Madeline Miller. I looked this up on GoodReads, but it looks like it was released in 2013 so not sure what's what here, but I loved Song of Achilles.
Daisy Darker by Alice Feeney. Alice Feeney is the famous author behind Rock, Paper, Scissors. Definitely need to get my hands on a good mystery!
The Philosophy of Modern Song by Bob Dylan. I've only listened to Mr. Tambourine Man 99 million times. Seriously, bring up YouTube and type in "Bob Dylan Tambourine Man." The talent coming off that guy! Whoa. This the time before auto-tune.
Winterland by Rae Meadows. The cover is amazing! This is a fictional book about a young girl in 1973 in the Soviet Union who is selected for the gymnastics program. She is also struggling with the mysterious disappearance of her mother, but it sounds like she might be getting a bit more clarity in her mother's disappearance.
Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid. TJR is the author of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. Need I say more?
Making a Scene by Constance Wu. This is from an actress from Crazy Rich Asians and the struggles of making it in acting.
What books do you have your eye on?

I literally gobble up these Buzz Books editions! Looking forward to next season already! Thank you for continuing to inform readers.
As usual, this buzz books edition was very useful for planning my reading for the next 6 months.
Thanks to this overview, I discovered authors I didn't previously know and saw that some of my favourite authors are due to release new books.
Many thanks to Publishers Lunch and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Noticed a few books I'm anticipating missing from the list, but, nevertheless, a great list with some fabulous-sounding books. Thank you for the compilation.
Thank you so much for this! This is an awesome way to discover new and upcoming books! Thank you again!
As always , a fantastic way of previewing books to be published.,I always look, forward to these and the opportunity to see and read excerpts of upcoming books.
These collections always get you excited for the upcoming season, only wish they could preview all the titles they mention! :D
An excellent guide to many intriguing books coming out in the fall and winter months. I appreciate all the excerpts and seeing the lists of titles, since it gives me ideas for books I'll want to order for the library collection. Thanks to Publishers Lunch and the publishers for making this collection available!
Always a joy. Get to see what’s coming, read chapters and request ARCS. Thanks for including me, a highlight of my reading plans.
As always, this is filled with wonderful sections of books that makes my TBR grow and grow. Lots of books I’m looking forward to after previewing them here.
This title is one of the best that I know of for readers who want to learn about upcoming books across a wide variety of categories. Whether it is debut authors, blockbuster authors, popular authors, non-fiction, fiction, YA, suggestions can be found here. In addition, a number of titles have lengthy excerpts.
Buzz Books is free at many e retailers. I very highly recommend it. I have already started making my list for new titles to read. It is lengthy.
Many thanks to NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
I love these samplers. So many great reads coming out that I’m excited for. Lots to add to be my tbr.
I really enjoy these types of compilations because it allows me as the reader to read about upcoming books I might otherwise not have known about. I was a little disappointed by this compilation as it only had fiction, debut, ya and nonfiction as the genres. Despite this there were still an overwhelming number of books I was able to sample and now plan on reading. I definitely recommend checking this out so you can sample upcoming books as well!
Put some great reads on my radar, also always fun to read excerpts from some of my anticipated reads!
I always enjoy these samplers. There are so many books that it’s nice to have a little taste of a few that are expected to be good. I bookmarked 3 or 4 that I’ll be keeping an eye out for!
Thanks for helping my TBR continue to be never ending!
Looking forward to Age of Vice and Monsters Born and Made based off of the excerpts provided! Though I’m wondering why every genre except Young Adult gets the index list at the beginning of the collection of all upcoming Fall/Winter books.
Thank you for a copy of this! I love Buzz Books and they always give me new books to add to my TBR. These were some really nice samples and I look forward to checking out some of the full books!
