Fabulous resource. I tend to be picky about the books I choose. This is like a tasting menu. I can find out enough about a book to know, as a frugal elder on a budget, if a book will make me happy . Thank you.
This is a book that compiles MANY excerpts into one place so that you can see if you would like to read that book further. I LOVE the concept! In reality the book is 2200 pages and ... no .. I haven't read every page. But I have requested some of the books through NetGalley specifically because I did read the excerpt.
Thank you to NetGalley for making this Buzz Books 2022 available in exchange for an honest review. Also many thanks to BuzzBooks for compiling this book. Publication date is 10 May 2022. I'm sure that I will continue to read an excerpt or two every day until the book expires.
I love this list of buzzy books as it always helps me to form my reading list for the coming seasons with all my favorite authors coming out with new books or new authors I should be on the look out for. Definitely going to be on the look out for Celeste Ng's new book as I've enjoyed her previous ones. And definitely will HAVE to get my hands on the new Kevin Wilson, without a doubt. I always love me a Janet Evanovich novel involving Stephanie Plum! It's Not TV about HBO also has really piqued my interest with all the great programming it has had in the last decade or so. I certainly can't miss the new Lauren Graham, especially on audio if she narrates it herself. The Forever Witness by Edward Humes will be a must for me as someone interested in genetics and cold cases! And a book about Lego? COUNT ME IN! So many goodies to look forward to this fall and winter!
I always love reading these Buzz Books sample collections- it's wonderful to revisit with familiar authors & discover new favorites!
An excellent summary of some wonderful reads. Thank you!
I feel continually blessed to be part of the NetGalley family and the treat of seeing what's in store and then being able to either 'request' or 'wish' for these treasures is fabulous.
Enjoyed this, nice way to see what’s coming up in the next few months. Some interesting sounding titles included. Thanks NetGalley!
I love the Buzz Books samplers. It gives me a taste of what amazing reads are to come in the upcoming season. I can't wait for the full versions to be released!
This book had some really exciting books that will be coming out this fall. I love to add books to my want to read lists and seeing so many good books gets me really excited for them to come out!
This is an amazing guide for anyone who wants a heads up on upcoming releases. I really like the way it lists all the buzzy titles with their release dates. It's a handy aid for planning your TBR and getting in your requests for galleys.
The excerpts are great for getting a feel for the tone, the author's style and catching a hook that you otherwise might have missed.
Thanks so much to #netgalley for this.
Love reading Buzz Books! So many great books coming out and so excited to be able to read chapters from them - can't wait for fall so I can read these books!
Buzz Books 2022: Fall/Winter edition is an excellent collection of excerpts of upcoming novels. There are several titles I'm looking forward to reading.
Thank you netgalley for putting this together for us! Feedback: in the future, can we make these types of compilations not part of our review score?
Many standout books to look forward to.
Well That Was Unexpected by Jessie Q. Sutanto
Night Forgotten by Meghan Joyce Tozer
In the Upper Country by Kai Thomas
Someday Maybe by Onyi Nwabineli
On the Roof Top by Margaret Wilkerson Sexton
When We Had Wings by Ariel Lawhon, Kristina McMorris, and Susan Meissner
I didn't find that any of the books I was interested in were downloadable. I appreciated learning about the many books coming in Fall/Winter 2022 those in preview and just listed.
Very informative and helpful in adding to my TBR list! It's always good to know what's coming out soon and what might be the hot book that everyone is reading.
A great resource for any librarian, book reviewer or book lover. A great way to get a jump and generate buzz on the new titles before they are released. A must read every season.
Buzz Books 2022: Fall/Winter is a comprehensive guide to this season of upcoming books. The guide includes informative recommendations for 4 different book types: Fiction, Debut, Nonfiction and Young Adult. A book recommendation within this guide consists of a short summary, excerpt, a Netgalley link (where you can read/request the book) about the author, and book publication information. Having never read a Buzz Books seasonal guide before, I thoroughly enjoyed that the recommendations included links. I would have liked the excerpt of the books to be a little shorter, to create space for more books within the guide. And especially as an avid nonfiction reader, my criticism would be to include a larger amount of nonfiction books. Overall this guide is detailed, informative and interesting, and an essential read for anyone who uses Netgalley. Thank you to Netgalley and Publishers Lunch for this DRC!
I appreciated this heads up of what great novels are still coming out in 2022. I’m excited about quite a few of them!
In Buzz Books 2022 fall/winter, is a sampler and a gallery of different books that are or will be available I love getting these books to have the heads up but great books to come. Some have first chapters only, but I’ll have enough to whet your appetite and leave you wanting to read the whole thing. Not every book is going to be for everybody but I found so many that I have put on my to be read list. From twins searching for the missing twin, to wives wondering where their husbands are and much much more this book is packed with the information to fill your TB or list to overflowing. I want to think publishers a lunch and the Gally for my review copy and I’m leaving this review totally voluntarily please forgive any errors as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.
Another greaet synopsis of what is to come in publishing. These offer such a great resource to readers. Also enjoy the excerpts which gives me opportunities to talk about upcoming options for our bookclub. Please keep making these.
This is not a traditional book to review. Buzz books is samples on many different books to give you a taste of what is up and coming in the next season. I thought overall it was well put together none of the titles in particular spoke to me but still a good collection.
Thanks to #netgalley
