This is the second installment of the Games Earls Play series and also my second book by Ms. Bradley. I read the first book in the series and was immediately hooked. This book also did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend reading the first one, to get the backstory of Miles and Juliet. With the perfect combination of romance, love, and drama, it pulled me in from the start and kept me captivated till the end. Juliet and Miles were wonderful together and I enjoyed their interactions and witty banter. Miles tries to protect his heart from Juliet but desperately fails. Juliet is attracted to Miles and sees through his grumpy exterior. This was a sweet and charming enemies to lovers story that was entertaining and enjoyable. Looking forward to more of this series!

This is book 2 in the series and easily stands alone. I really am loving this series though I did like the first book better. In this story we have Juliet who is at a house party with her aunt at Miles, Lord Cross's house. He wants to throw her out because he did not like her behavior during her season and she became a scandal.

But his best friend asks him for her to stay so she can help fix him up with another woman at the house party. That makes Miles spend more time with her and they end up falling in love.

This was a sweet story and I enjoyed watching Miles try and make up for his bad behavior and I enjoyed Juliet and how she just wants to save her family from scandal. I

Short and sweet. I would have welcomed some sort of developing friendship leading up to their relationship…but the author felt like rushing the plot.

I really enjoyed Odd Earl Out by Anna Bradley. This is book two of the Games Earls Play series and if you haven't read book one yet, now is a perfect time to pick it up and read before diving into this book.

Juliet Templeton and Miles Winthrop are our main characters in this book and I actually enjoyed both. When Juliet shows up (unexpectedly) at a house party Miles is throwing at his estate, Miles is not interested in having her stay. That is, unless Juliet agrees to help his cousin woo the woman he fell in love with.

As Juliet and Miles work together they are drawn to each other more and more. I loved how Bradley built the relationship between these two.

If you're looking for a great historical romance with interesting characters, an engaging story, and lovely romance, definitely check this one out. I'll be looking forward to the next one.

I found this story to be sweet, fascinating, charming, and compelling. after this first book with Emma"s story being so exciting. This gives you more of the background and knowledge of how and why the sisters are the way they are. It gives you hope and appreciation on what might be possible. The adventure, fun, and life with living is worth doing it with your whole heart. This is how Anna Bradley captivates you with her dynamic writing.

Miles Winthrop, the Earl of Cross, A lonely scared man who sees himself as his cruel father. He wants to preserve the family line under happy smiling faces only his cousin has. So he sets out to host a house party to marry said cousin, Lord Barnaby, to a woman that can tame him and still keep his jolly personality in tact.

Miss Juliet Templeton just wants her family happy, healthy, and loved. She arrives as a guest of Lady Fosberry, at this house party only to be told by Lord Cross she is not welcome. She tries to pled her case but he wants none of it.

After wanting only to thank Lord Barnaby for his assistance, she is met with more snubs. The one bright spot is Lady Cora Drummond. She befriends Juliet and tells her she is leaving. Lord Barnaby comes in and realizing it is Lady Cora falls for her, demand Lord Cross keep Juliet around to help soften Lady Cora towards him.

This misadventures begin, lawn bowling in the ballroom, drawing contest, and then a down turn when our villain Lord Boggs arrives. Her is in hot pursuit of Juliet but what happens then will have you on tender hooks!

Does Lord Cross finally see what his cousin and others do? Does Juliet help or hurt the match of Lord Barnaby and Lady Cora? Will Lord Boggs cause harm or help? what scandal has befallen Juliet that she thinks Lord Cross can help? You will just have to read this beautifully, thrilling story to find out!

I received a complimentary ARC of this book from Netgalley. All opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
Well, I have been waiting impatiently to read this book, which is the second in the 'Games Earls Play' series, and I was not disappointed.

There was already plenty of implied chemistry between Miles Cross and Juliet Templeton in the last book, and it this one, we see it come to fruition. While there is humour, of which there is plenty of the side-splitting variety, there is also plenty of emotion. Starting when Miles mistakenly believes that Juliet is enamoured with someone else and Juliet mistakenly believes that Lord Cross wants to help her save her family's reputation.

While Cross tries to deny his feelings for the compelling Juliet and she tries to understand his coldness they can't fight their undeniable attraction. It's fabulously swoony and romantic - I sighed a lot.

Now again, I must wait for the next instalment. I already love all the Templeton sisters so I don't care who comes next.

Love the characters in this story. Laughed my head off at “flirting or having a fit” observation. Complete with jealous biddies and a lecherous villain. Thoroughly enjoyed reading in one sitting.

Received an ARC from netgalley and leaving my review voluntarily.

Ooh what a charming add on to the series!!

A good story that was well written!

We saw a lot of Juliet and Miles in the previous book and we get to know more about them in this.

Juliet - I loved her!  I couldn't stop crying at few scenes...  and Miles - I had misgivings about him in the previous book but am super glad he is the one for Juliet.

Definitely looking forward to the next one in the series!

I recieved a free copy from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
The beginning of this book was a little frustrating but I was fully invested by the end.
Juliet and Miles met in London before the start of this book and while I have read the first book it has been a while so this one didn't feel like a stand alone with a lot of info missing on their relationship.
Miles is having a houseparty to find his cousin and heir a bride. Juliet is running for another scandel in her family and arrives uninvited to the party.
I loved the relationship between Miles and juliet and like how juliet lit up his world but not in a manic pixie girl kind of way.
Thr drawing was a unique concept and I liked how it was incorporated.
Can't wait for the next sisters story.

Juliet Templeton’s family is plagued by scandal due to her mother’s past behavior. Miles, who is an Earl, is cold and uncomfortable around Juliet because of the way she makes him feel. They call a truce as Juliet will help Miles’ cousin woo the woman he loves and Miles will help to silence the scandal surrounding Juliet.

I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Juliet and Miles. This is an enjoyable, well-written romance.

I received an advance reader copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

The scandalous Juliet is attracted to grim Miles the moment she met him in London. She sees beyond his grim exterior to the person he really is. She shows up at his country house party and sparks fly. Can they admit to the love they feel? I received an ARC from NetGalley and Oliver Heber books for my honest review.

This was the first book I read by Anna Bradley and I thought it was cute! I’d definitely read more of her stuff.

I think the story would’ve made a bit more sense if I read the first one in the series. Although historical romances are usually fine to read as a stand alone, I felt like there were many parts of the plot that I had to piece together about Miles and Juliet’s relationship that happened in Book 1 of the series.

I also felt like the development of their relationship from Miles telling Juliet to leave his estate to him professing his love to her could’ve been fleshed our a little more.

Overall it was a fun quick read!

I received an ARC of "Odd Earl Out" from Netgalley and the extraordinary Anna Bradley. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. This is the second book in the Games Earls Play series. Lord Miles Winthrop, the Earl of Cross, was brought up by a very strict and rigid father. Juliet Templeton was brought up by a very loving, caring and devoted father. Their upbringing sets up their standards for love and marriage. The two characters seem to be opposed to anything and everything the other says, but their mutual attraction seems to bring out their natural romantic hearts. This is a beautifully set story of how some coincidences are just meant to be, and how no matter how hard we resist fate and temptation, if something is meant to be, it will be. Beautiful coming together story.

An engaging romance with Juliet and Miles finding love and a wonderful happy ending. I found their story fun and flirty and a delightful battle of wits before they get to their happily ever after.

I'm a fan of Ms. Bradley and usually enjoy her books immensely. I loved the first book in the series, but this one fell a little flat for me. As it's been some time since I read book 1, a bit more refresher to orient the reader to what happened before would have been helpful. Lord Cross was just grumpy and arrogant throughout most of the book and it's well into the book before we begin to understand his character. That would have been much more helpful and made him a more sympathetic character if we knew what had shaped his childhood. I was rooting for Juliet to find her HEA, but I wished there had been more of a buildup of at least a somewhat friendship between these two before we went from arrogant earl to bewitched man in love. While this was not my favorite book, I look forward to reading more from this talented author.

This is the second book in the series and I somehow missed the first. The story works as a stand alone, but I want to read the beginning of this relationship. The story was short and sweet and Juliet was a charming heroine and Miles a grumpy somewhat mercurial hero. Not the best Anna Bradley I've read, but still enjoyable.

Thank you to the Publisher and NetGalley for giving me this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book had enjoyable moments. I generally like the house party trope. Also, Miles was haughty and kind of mean, which I also like. It just didn't really go anywhere. It was an at times enjoyable bit of fluff, but sometimes it was boring. One of the reasons I enjoy house parties is the opportunity for sexy shenanigans, but there weren't any. Not until the very end.
Now, all that being said, I'm intrigued by Helena's story, which I REALLY hope will be about Lord Hawke! Thank you for the ARC.

This book was provided by Netgally, Xpresso Book Tours and Oliver Heber Books for and honest review. All of the thoughts and opinions are my own.

This book thoroughly entertained me in 6 hours it took me to read it. Between the usual older female family friend that is both funny, slightly out there and wisdom imparting at oportne moment to the when is he FINALLY going to realize he loves he.
It was quintessential book of its genre and filled with all of the tropes that these book follow.
The steamy scene was a little bit cringy but not terrible.
3 starts for sure

Juliet Templeton's life has been plagued by scandals, and when a nasty one threatens her family's happiness she requests help from a most unlikely source. Lord Cross is cold, rude, and hates Juliet. Miles will only help temper the scandal for Juliet if she helps his cousin woo the woman he fell in love with at first sight. They aren't the only ones falling in love at this house party, and that hate isn't really so far away from love.

I'm a big Anna Bradley fan, and her books are some of my favorites. She just makes me feel things. Love? Check. Romance? Check. Chemistry? Check. Got them all. I loved Juliet and Miles. Sure, he is pretty grumpy and she is idealistic and beautiful. He despises her because she makes him want things he never thought he could have. I'm so glad they finally got their heads out of the sand and realized they could have everything with each other. It was an easy read, and exactly what I needed this week with my life being kind of crazy.

I do wish it had been longer. Her books have gotten shorter and shorter (novella length) and I just want more. I think she can pack so much more into a book, and she has before. I am hoping the next book is a little bit longer just so I can have some more of the excellent character development and romance I've always found in her books.

Having enjoyed other novels by this author, I thought “Odd Earl Out” was a sweet and cute book. It would have been better if I’d have read the first in the series to get a bit of a backstory on Miles and Juliet. With that being said, I really liked the book despite not having read the first. Miles throws a house party in hopes of marrying off his cousin to secure his heir but unfortunately run into Juliet Templeton, a woman he desperately is trying to get away from to protect his heart. This story was entertaining and had likeable characters…ones I plan on revisiting in the first book. Juliet and Miles were likeable main characters that I thought could have warmed up a little to one another versus Miles in all his ordering and grumpiness prior to them getting down to the hot and heated that was a bit wordy but understandably a part of the romance. I would have welcomed some sort of developing friendship leading up to their relationship and love making. This was an enjoyable and quick read…but could have had a bit more something to it.
