This is the fourth book of the Starstruck Series and what a delightful read it was! Fake relationships are one of my favorite tropes and Ms. Nix really nailed it with this one. The characters were absolutely adorable, especially Eve, who is a sweet and hardworking gal and I fell in love with her immediately. She was such a relatable character, it was easy to get lost in her world. I also adored Boone and his vulnerability because of his past relationship. He was such a sweetheart to Eve. Eve is a lonely barista who was one of Boone's superfans. Because of the scandals in his life, Boone needs to repair his image and create somewhat of a distraction. Eve is a nice and wholesome girl, perfect to fill in as his fake girlfriend. Eve can't believe her luck when Boone approaches her with the offer. Of course it won't be hard for her to pretend she is in love with him, because she kinda is already in love with him. But she also needs to be realistic. This charade can't go on forever, so she will need to guard her heart.
I found this to be a thoroughly entertaining and adorable story and am glad I had the opportunity to read it. The storyline had a nice smooth flow and the romance was wonderful and there were plenty of humorous moments that had me laughing out loud or just generally left me with a smile on my face. Wonderful characters and an engaging storyline will keep you captivated till the end. This is a lovely story and I'm happy to recommend!

Eve Tracey is a barista in the morning and a preschool assistant in the afternoon. Boone Sheridan is a celebrity starring in a hit TV series and frequent customer at Eve’s coffee shop. Eve knows who Boone is as she’s a super fan of his show and former writer of fanfic about his character. One day Boone stumbles upon Eve after she has just found out her boyfriend and roommate hooked up and betrayed her. Boone proposes a fake relationship with Eve from which they will both benefit: Eve gets a free place to stay and Boone can reap the benefits of good PR.

I am reading this Starstruck series out of order, but so far I am really enjoying it! I’m not a huge fan of celebrity romance because I usually can’t relate, but these characters seem very realistic and down to earth. Eve is a former blogger of a website devoted to Boone’s show and a super fan who also formerly wrote fanfiction about it. I was worried this would be the cause of the third act breakup (from Boone finding out about her secret addiction to his show), but Susannah Nix actually reveals it early on and there’s cute teasing about it throughout the book. Like the first novel in the series, Star Bright, this book contains some thoughtful commentary about anxiety. Eve and Boone have some misunderstandings, but they are very patient with each other and generally have good communication. Overall, a strong 4 star read for me!

Boone Sheridan is a TV heartthrob with a public relations problem. He needs to clean up his image and create a distraction ASAP. What better way to do that than pretending he’s settled down with a nice, wholesome, ordinary girlfriend?

Eve Tracey is as ordinary as they come—a pre-school teacher and part-time barista working two jobs to make ends meet. She also happens to be a recovering Boone Sheridan superfan. So when the object of her former obsession walks into her coffee shop and makes her an unbelievable offer, how can she refuse?

Acting like she’s in love with Boone Sheridan is no problem for Eve. But she’s read enough fake dating fanfics to know that being on the receiving end of Boone’s pretend affection is almost certainly a recipe for heartbreak—and she’s too realistic to believe the fantasy will extend any further than that.

There’s nothing for a starstruck fangirl to do but brace herself for the pain of letting Boone go at the end of their temporary arrangement.

I only realised after reading this book that it's the fourth in the series! What a fun read. I binged it in one day, I couldn't get enough of Boone and Eve. The chemistry within the characters made the book what it was. There was a slow burn romance which really kept you wanting to read more! It’s such a light and fun read filled with celebrities and Hollywood which I love in books. Can’t wait for her next!

I really enjoyed this book more than I expected to! I really liked both Eve and Boone's characters on their own, and even more together! I loved their slow build from friendship to lovers, and especially seeing Boone falling in love before he even realised it himself.

Fake dating will always be a trope I love, and this book was a perfect reason why! Throw in a handsome celebrity, and even better!

I really want to go back and read the earlier books in the Starstruck series! I really enjoyed the character of Alice, so I'm really intrigued to watch her and Griffin fall in love.

Thank you Netgalley and Susannah Nix for this eArc in exchange for an honest review.

Another great read by Susannah Nix! This is the 2nd book I have read in this series and I am loving it!

This is a story of meeting people at the right palace and the right time in your life. Both Boone and Eve seem to be down and out on their luck with both their personal and professional lives. Boone is a celebrity who is caught up in a scandal and also tired of his celebrity life. Eve is working 2 jobs trying to make ends meet and recently found out that her roommate/friend and boyfriend have been having an affair. The day Eve finds out about this affair she has a run in with Boone at her one job. She has been a super fan on Boone for years. He senses something is wrong and she tells him about the affair. Boone then takes Eve under his wing after she reveals this information. As the book goes on Boone and Eve become close and then he asks her to move in with him and also pretend to be his new girlfriend to help help cool down his scandal. As time goes on and sparks continue to fly their friendship and feelings for each other continue to grow.

If you are looking for a fun, quick, feel good romance this book and series is for you! Thank you to Netgally and publisher for an ARC of this book for my honest review!

Working in an LA coffee shop, barista Eve has seen her fair share of celebrities come through the door and order their daily dose of caffeine. Although when Boone Sheridan started coming in daily she attempted to treat him like any other customer despite having a long-held crush on the TV heartthrob. Keeping himself to himself he doesn't engage in any extra chat above ordering his coffee. However, he does step up to pay for a teenage girl's order when she was short and Eve was going to cover it.

Back in LA for a break between filming in Vancouver, Boone should have other projects to work on. However, a scandal in the press that saw him leaving his married co-star's house one morning has led to cancellations etc. His PR team want to set him up on fake dates with other rising stars but he has the perfect candidate in mind... Eve from the coffee shop. His heart was aching when he spots that she is crying after bumping into each other and finding out that her roommate has slept with her then-boyfriend.

An easy friendship forms between them and Eve agrees to help Boone until he returns to Vancouver but refuses his offer of money. Moving out of her apartment after everything with her roommate has her staying with Boone. But lines begin to blur between them and her heart is getting too attached to Boone, who keeps blowing hot and cold. This can only every be an arrangement, right?

I enjoyed so much the previous one so I knew what to expect from the author when I picked this one up.
Eve and Boone are the main characters in this story.Nothing out of ordinary people that live in a fake relationship because a scandal is turning his life upside down and his PR people want to keep him up and front on the spotlight.

The same great writing with interesting characters and a romance story that has a beautiful plot that I always loved, fake relationship romance, and a very charming one at that. I loved it and I will recommend it for anyone who wants to read a great fictional story that takes place behind the scenes of celebrities life.

🆓📖Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy

This is the fourth book in the Starstruck series, but they can be read as stand alone books.

This was my first one and I loved it! I’ll for sure be checking out the others in this series.

This book follows Eve and Boone. Boone is a famous TV actor who gets caught up in a scandal, his PR people want him to have a fake relationship in order for the scandal to die down. Eve works at a coffee shop where Boone gets his coffee. She’s also a huge fan of him, (writer of fan fiction and such). One day Boone asks her to be his fake girlfriend in order to get Hollywood off of his back.

This was a fun RomCom! I love a good celebrity romance. Also fake dating is one of my favourite tropes, and this book did that well. This book was cute, fun and steamy! Overall a great RomCom read.

(Half a star off as the beginning felt a bit rushed, but overall I really enjoyed it)

CW: Cheating, anxiety, past emotional/verbal abusive relationships.

Wow I really really liked this one! It was funny, witty and extremely entertaining. I have read so many fake dating romances and yet this one felt completely unique. Eve was a very relatable main character and Boone was a very swoon worthy and realistic love interest. I thought they had such a wonderful connection and a lot of chemistry.

Lucky Star
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Genre: Romance

Thank you to NetGalley and Haver Street Press for providing a digital copy of the book for me to read in exchange for my honest opinion.

Synopsis: Boone Sheridan is a TV heartthrob with a public relations problem. He needs to clean up his image and create a distraction ASAP.

My Thoughts: The chapters are short, which was great for me as I like to read a few chapters when I am eating lunch. The story is narrated by Eve mostly with some chapters being narrated by Boone, in their respective POVs. This book was everything I knew it could be. I had read another book in this series earlier in the year and loved it. This was even better and even worked some of the prior characters into this one. I have now bookmarked all of the books in this series. The author has developed this characters creatively, inventively, and some depth. The writing was clear, engaging, and creative. The ending was amazing and just fit this book so well. Susannah Nix has become an auto buy author for me.

LUCKY STAR is book 4 in the STARSTRUCK series by Susannah Nix and it is most definitely my favourite in the series so far. It is a Celebrity/Fake Dating/Forced Proximity romance and I really loved Eve and Boone's story. The slow burn was absolute perfection and it really magnified the chemistry between the couple. I would recommend highly recommend this series.

This is such a charming book. Initially I thought the “fake girlfriend of a star” trope wasn’t interesting, but this goes beyond the trope. It turns into a slow burn romance between two people who haven’t had great experiences with past relationships but who really care about each other beyond their physical attraction.
The chemistry between Eve and Boone feels so natural and right, totally believable and unforced. They have misunderstandings and ups and downs as their relationship progresses, just like any couple would.
It was fun seeing the behind the scenes aspect of publicity and making a TV show. I also liked the descriptions of LA, perfect!
I’d love to read a follow up book starring these characters! 4.5 stars

Super cute, such a great story that answers the question: what could happen when you fake date your celebrity crush? Eve Tracey is about to find out. I loved every minute of reading this book!

Aaaah this book was one of the most enjoyable reads I have had this month. I got approved for the arc and immediately dived in because I saw that the publishing date was right around the corner! and it is out NOW!📸

Alright, now for the review! Boone is probably on the top of my list of book boyfriends because he was just 😍🔥 all the times he showed how much he cared melted my heart! This is a celebrity romance so it did feel like Evie was living my dream of being with my celebrity crush haha (Chris Evans 😍) which made me that much more eager continue reading!

I wasn’t aware until I did more research on the book that it is actually a part of a series and let me just say right now that I will absolutely be reading the other books because I don’t know what susannah nix put in this series but I am obsessed!!! Seriously how have I been missing out on the Starstruck series ⭐️📸

One thing I wanted to mention is that I wish the dual pov was a bit more clear. I was able to get the hang of it pretty quickly but it would’ve been super nice to not have to figure it out if that makes sense haha. However! I was pretty shocked when halfway in I noticed it was third person point of view because I quite honestly didn’t even notice. What I mean by that is that usually that makes it hard for me to get into a book but with Lucky Star I just dove right in and it was perfect!

Last but not least as some of y’all may have noticed Lucky Star is out and this is a romance you just cannot miss out on ❤️⭐️

When Eve's celebrity crush asks her to pose as his fake girlfriend, how could she possibly say no? Cue the storyline we can all predict....but love!

Susannah Nix writes the cutest romances. I don't even read the synopsis' anymore, when I see her name on Netgalley, I just automatically hit the Request button. I found myself racing through this book - it was that adorable! If you're looking for a celebrity romance with a side of fun fake dating, this is your book.
