Young Bren's life on the Isle of Skye is changed forever when he listens to the Hag of the Hills and is given his desire at a cost. Bren narrates his origen story to a companion and weaves the tale of losing his known world to the Hillmen invaders as he strives to follow in his famous warrior father's footsteps and debating if his achieved desires warranted the cost.

Hag of the Hills illustrates a beautiful fierce culture that I appreciate learning more about through JTT Ryder's storytelling; I felt as if Bren himself were telling me the story over a campfire and I participating as an active listener in the tradition of oral history.

Brennus is living in 200 BC and hating the life of a farmer. He is offered a life of his dreams but for a price. Brennus accepts the offer and then all hell breaks loose.
