I thought this was such a fun sequel! I loved getting to know Gwyn more, and her relationship with the "Baby Witches" was so endearing. I also found the romance between her and Wells believable, a big thing for me. Perfect for a cozy fall read.
The Kiss Curse is such a fun and witty romance. I really enjoyed book 1 so when I saw book 2 coming out I was so excited. Magic, romance, smut! Sign me up. I loved Gwyn. She is such a badass main character. The plot was amazing and I could not put this one down. I have to take a star away because the ending was so rushed! Why?! I needed more.
*thank you to netgalley for the arc.
Today’s Pub Day recommendation, which is THE KISS CURSE by Erin Sterling, goes out to everyone who’s already decorated their house for Halloween! But then again, who doesn't love a good Halloween story any time of year?!
Not going to lie, I was a little hesitant about this book initially since I thought The Ex Hex was just okay. However, I ended up really enjoying The Kiss Curse! The romance plot is not only fun to read about, but this book’s the perfect not-scary book to get you in the Halloween mood!
This book had a great balance of enemies-to-lovers, romantic tension, adventure, and mystery which make this book very enjoyable to read! And while this book works better as a sequel, you can probably still get away with reading it as a stand-alone!
If you’re looking for a romance with all the witchy and Halloween vibes, this is the book for you!
*I received an ARC from Avon Books in exchange for my honest opinion.
A great continuation of the series! Erin Sterling is one of my favorite "witchy" author at the moment and I seriously couldn't put this book down. Please write more from Graves Glen!
Erin Sterling has done it again! THE KISS CURSE was just as cute and entertaining as THE EX HEX. It was the perfect fall read, and great if you're looking for something with cute witchy vibes that won't veer into horror territory.
I was so excited to see a second book in this series after reading "The Ex Hex" last year.
I enjoyed the development of the characters and the story as a whole. A cute read for fall/Halloween!

This one was such a fun, lighthearted, witchy rom com perfect for October! It still has Sabrina the Teenage Witch vibes (the old TV show, not the Netflix reboot).
The Kiss Curse follows Gwyn, Viv's cousin after the events of The Ex Hex. Though the plot is pretty low-stakes, I still enjoyed the story. There were some funny moments and I will forever love the talking cat.
I think there could have been more depth to Wells. I would have like to spend more time with his internal struggle with his father. That was a pretty abhorrent thing to do to your son and I feel like we didn't really get a resolution to it.
Gwyn doesn't have much character growth. I already like her as a character and love the banter, but it all just felt very surface-level.
I want more of the baby witches! They deserved more page time!
I thoroughly enjoyed this (much more than The Ex Hex). I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a feel-good read for Halloween.
I have greatly enjoyed this series. I enjoyed reading this around the Spooky season holiday. I especially enjoyed the callbacks to the previous novel in this series. I always like two families coming together and numerous members falling in love.
I really enjoyed this book!! The hate to love was so perfect, and I truly enjoyed the way we got to see more of Graves Glen! The banter was witty and entertaining and the chemistry was off the charts. Plus it’s just impossible not to love Gwyn, and her love for her cat is something I definitely resonated with on a deep level. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!
GIVE ME MORE ERIN STERLING!!!! I love a good witchy romcom and I’m very lucky I got to check out this captivating love story ahead of time.
This book was cute, spicy, and had a fun story! I adored it so much we bought a copy for our library and it is seeing lots of love!
I voluntarily read an advanced copy of The Kiss Curse by Erin Sterling. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for this ARC.
The Kiss Curse is my first time reading this author, despite the fact I own The Ex Hex (which I plan to read someday.) The fact that this book was so much fun has moved TEH higher up my extensive TBR pile. I loved Will and Gwyn both as individuals and as a couple. They had some fun frenemy energy going on. The witch worldbuilding is well developed and the story is perfectly paced. The Kiss Curse is a fun fluffy witch romance with a well-developed plot, and I give it 4/5 stars.
This book was so good. I loved the first book in the series and this was the perfect sequel. Witty, funny, spicy, witchy, and just the perfect spooky season read.
A great, witchy, Halloween themed romance. I actually liked this one even better than the first book “The Ex Hex”. This is a true enemies to lovers romance and both characters had amazing romantic tension from the very beginning. I do feel the ending was a bit rushed, but I think this is the perfect book to get you into the mood for spooky season.
***Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
This was a cute witchy romance. It was a decent follow up to Erin Sterling's first witch romance.
An incredible follow-up to The EX HEX. I adored this one just as much and I want to live in this town with the characters. And the audio is incredible too!
The Kiss Curse was a fantastic follow up to The Ex Hex. Both of these books were fun, spooky, witchy, romantic, and generally adorable. This sequel was a lot of fun to read and I have really enjoyed these books so much. The characters are lovable and there are also some great villains for you to hate as well.
What I really enjoyed about this book was the mix of genres and tropes that blended together to create and engaging read. There was an enemies to lovers mixed with magic and academia and I was unable to put it down. I just really enjoyed this one and it was a perfect entry into the spooky season!
Many Thanks to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Okay, first, I received an arc from NetGalley -I'm so late, I know!- This book was so good. Is it a bit of insta-love? Yes. But was it cute, and funny, and swoony for what it was? Heck yeah! Loved it so much.
Seasonally, this book was enjoyable enough. I felt it lacked a little in some areas, but felt the same about Sterlings' Ex Hex as well.
I fell in absolute love with the first book in this series, despite rarely enjoying romance books, and the second one didn’t disappoint! I was so excited and swooning reading the second just as much as I did with the first!
I want to personally thank NetGalley, as well as the author, publisher, and anyone else involved in providing copies, for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Reviews will also be submitted to Goodreads.
