What a delightful book. Erin Sterling has a magical way of drawing you into her worlds & her characters.

I truly loved getting to know Gwyn -- and watching as her relationship and friendship ebbed and flowed with Wells.

This is the perfect fall book and the best companion novel to The Ex Hex. I loved it!

5/5

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own.

This is book two in The Ex Hex series, and it was just as fun as the first one. This book follows Gwyn (cousin to book 1's heroine) and Wells (brother to book 1's hero), as they start a fiery competition over magical control of the town of Graves Glen. There are sparks of passion between the two, while also diminishing magic through nefarious circumstances. There are witches in training, a cat that talks, and creepy almost sacrifices of witches. And did I mention passion sparks? Enemies to lovers, HEA, and all the magic. There is one more brother in this series, and I am very excited to see if there is going to be a book three. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I absolutely loved this book! It was a perfect Halloween read, and I loved getting to return to Graves Glen. I enjoyed watching Gwyn and Wells banter as they fell for each other. This is the perfect read for any fans of the enemies-to-lovers and GrumpyxSunshine trope.

The Kiss Curse tells us Gwen & Wells' story, which I absolutely loved. This witchy romance takes place in the same 'Halloween' town as the first book, and it's as intriguing and fun as The Ex Hex. Worth the read!

This book was a wonderful follow up to The Ex Hex! I may have even loved it more and I didn’t know that was possible. I laughed a ton and didn’t want to put it down. It was the perfect fall/Halloween read.

I thought this was the perfect follow-up to The Ex Hex. Gwyn and Wells are HOT. There's just something about the strict rule follower and the free spirit falling grudgingly in love that just gets me. Then you add in the perfect backdrop that is Graves Glen falls and it's done for me. Also, the spice. I just....

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this novel. Even though I finished this book right before publication date, COVID took me down, and I did not get to post my review..

3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

I actually really enjoyed this story and prefer it over #1 in the series. I really felt the story between Gwyn and Wells was well written and more believable. I enjoyed Gwyn in the first book so her having her own story made me happy.

I do wish there would have been an epilogue and maybe she would have revealed to Wells that she was the purple haired girl. I do feel you could read this book ad a standalone if you don't want to read the 1st in the series, but reading the first wouldn't hurt.

This is a cute, feel good Halloween/fall read.

I’m just a sucker for a witchy book. I just don’t think Sterling’s books are for me. I’m always left a little disappointed and almost bored. This just wasn’t the book for me.

Such a fun paranormal, enemies to lovers romance! It was great to be back in Graves Glen with the familiar characters from The Ex Hex. Here, Wells Penhallow comes to town and opens a competing witchy supply store across from Gwyn’s similar store. The two of them are very competitive, and there’s an undeniable spark between the two.
However, a new cover has come to town and Gwyn can feel her magical powers fading. She and Wells must find a way to get her powers back before they’re gone for good.

A great follow up, 4 stars.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed as in this review are completely my own.

I'm a sucker for a witchy Erin Sterling book! The sequel to her first romance novel, The Kiss Curse does bring back some of the series' winning strengths, mostly the supernatural and the chemistry. I sometimes personally feel weird with oversexualization of female characters as a way to empower them. Gwyn maybe suffers from that a little but overall, it was a fun read!

I liked the Ex Hex a lot because it gave me Halloweentown/Gilmore Girls vibes, and I think The Kiss Curse did a pretty good job giving the same mood! You don't get quite as much of the small town festival/celebration feel, but I think you still get some, which I love. The romance was also just as good in this follow up, and I loved all of the spooky touches.

To be honest, this story is a little tame for my taste. BUT I still really enjoyed reading it, the characters are a lot of fun and I definitely felt invested in the story. If you're looking for an easy read that will leave you with a smile on your face- this is the one for you!

Solid Romance. I wanted to love this one more than The Ex Hex but just couldn't for some reason. I loved the atmosphere and the Banter. It had a nice small town romance feel to it. It just didn't hit the mark completely for me and I found myself having a hard time consistently reading.

The Kiss Curse is the sequel to The Ex Hex, which I thoroughly enjoyed last spooky season. I adored the characters from The Kiss Curse, Gwyn was a fiery, badass witch and I loved her attitude. I loved the sexy steamy romance brought in by Wells, and just enough witchy to make this story magical! I loved the talking cat and the baby witches. All around it made me giggle, swoon and sweat a bit! It was great.

Very cute wicked story. I enjoyed book one and this one was adorable as well. This reminds me of a more witchy version of the Good Witch. And I loved it. Would love to see a tv show based on these books.

This was a really cute witchy read that could be read anytime of year. The characters were both funny and amazing (especially Wells) Gwyn was a witty and relatable MC as well. It was a fun quick read and would be perfect to get anyone out of a slump. Also, it can be read easily as a stand alone if you haven't read The Ex Hex!

this was the perfect October read. I actually liked this book better than The Ex Hex but loved that we got the same characters. This book was the perfect mix of spooky and romantic. I just wish the ending wasn’t as rushed. The small town of graves glen has my heart though and I hope Erin Sterling is planning on writing about the third brother. Thank you Avon and Harper Voyager for the Arc!

I absolutely loved The Kiss Curse. I adored Rhys and Vivi in The Ex Hex, but I think I liked Wells and Gwen even more. I liked that we got to see a different side of Wells here and his spicy side as well. I loved the little witches and their shenanigan's. It was such a cute story and I really hope we get a book 3 into the "werewolf". Thank you so much for the ARC of this book.

I enjoyed the Ex Hex but it wasn't my favorite read of last year. This Kiss Curse was a great addition to the series, and it gave me more of the spooky/gilmore girl vibes I was craving from the Ex Hex. All in all, I enjoyed this spooky/cute read.

Thank you #netgalley for an early read of #thekisscurse in exchange for my honest review

I will say that I liked this book WAY WAY MORE than the first one.
The plot flowed better and I just loved the characters way more. I am so excited to see what the third book in this series will be like because the second book changed my mind completely about this series.
Also how much trouble can this one town get in!
