Even though this is the 16th book in the Seaside Knitters series, my anticipation for each new release has not lessened. I eagerly await each new book to spend some Thursday nights in Izzy's shop and Fridays nights on the Endicott's deck with friends. The bond these four women have is amazing and quite special. We get a little more of a glimpse into Cass's life this time around even though the murder hits Nell and Ben hard as it is the wife of a dear, long time friend. Sally Goldenbaum has the rare ability to write an enjoyable and well written cozy mystery (my favorite genre) while making you truly want to be a part of the special relationship the main characters have. You become engaged in their lives and in their town and can't to see what happens next. I can't wait for the book to be released so I can add it to the others on my bookshelf. Please keep writing!!!
I love the cover of this newest addition to the series by Sally Goldenbaum.
I've come to love all the wonderful characters in this series and every time I pick up a book, I feel like I'm visiting with good friends.
This holiday themed cozy has Nell catching up with an old friend, Cass finding a nanny for her baby, and Izzy working hard to keep up with the holiday rush of customers.
An untimely death shakes the friends up, putting a damper on their holiday festivities, and has them once again wrapped up in a murder investigation.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

This seasonal addition to Goldenbaum's seaside knitter's society books is delicious.
The club members are involved in a fabulous christmas party catered by a wonderful new chef. Unfortunately, she ends up dead so the society goes to work to solve the crime.
The book is full of cheery christmas decorations and a holiday spirit in spite of the mystery.
Ben and Nell have an old friend in town and are happy to see him after so many years. Both professional chefs, the friend and his wife are in town as the wife is catering the mayor’s Christmas party. When she’s found dead after the party, Nell and the ladies have to figure out who killed the woman and why. With suspects hitting close to home, will the ladies find a wolf in their own coop? Justice must prevail, and the ladies are on it, regardless of who the murderer turns out to be.
I LOVE this series and enjoy the camaraderie the ladies have and how well they work together. Every woman should have her crew that is with them through thick and thin. Well written and a solid mystery every time keeps me coming back for more in this series.
I enjoyed this book. The characters are like visiting old friends. I did guess the killer prior to the reveal. The story is interesting. #ADarkandSnowyNight #NetGalley.
I enjoyed A Dark and Snowy Night. I have read the author's series from the beginning. Because of this I have come to love the four main characters. Birdie Favazza, Cass Halloran Brandley, Izzy Perry and Neil Endicott. Their friendship is very special which the reader will enjoy throughout the story. There are two parts to this story which intertwine. Mollie, Cass's nanny and her back history as well as who killed Lydia and why.
Neil meets an old college friend, Ollie Bishop at the restaurant,, Ocean Edge for drinks. He is in town as his new wife, Lydia Carson is catering the mayor's Christmas party. Cass and her husband, Danny live on Harbor Road next to Luna Risso who has called the police about a peeping tom. Their nanny Mollie suddenly leaves without explanation when she realizes who the the peeping tom person is leaving Cass and Danny confused as they thought she loved working for them.
There is a snow storm the night of the mayor's Christmas party which they all attend. The food is exceptional.
Ollie introduces Lydia to Neil and her friends. There seems tp be much tension with some of the guests and between some of the catering team, Lydia was the guardian of Dirk Evans and has a strained relationship with. him. Darci Lou Fox is crazy about Dirk and follows him everywhere. When looking for Lydia Neil discovers her in the snow. dead. The next day Mollie returns to to Cass and Danny's house and tells them why she left but she hope they will take her back as their nanny.
The story picks up showing Neil and her friends that things are not what they seem to be, especially with Ollie and his relationship with his wife, The reader is taken to the climax of the surprising ending.
I look forward to the next book in this series and what adventures await Neil, Birdie, Cass and Izzy. I feel like they are all friends. I think the readers who read this story will want to read the other books in this series

A Dark and Snowy Night by Sally Goldenbaum Entertaining and enjoyable read. Many characters to keep track of, will need to be looking into previous books in the series.
Thank you to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the opportunity to preview the book.
A Dark and Snowy Night by Sally Goldenbaum (Seaside Knitters Society Mystery #5) 4 stars
This is the fifth or the sixteenth in the series depending on how you count the Seaside Knitters Mysteries. It is winter and the nights are cozy, crackling fires, chilly winds and Christmas decorations abound. Mayor Beatrice Scaglia is having an invitation only holiday party and she has retained the services of a celebrity chef, Lidia Carson. The food is sublime, but the party is spoiled when the body of Lidia Carson is found. Who killed the celebrated chef and why? The Seaside Knitters will solve this mystery one clue at a time.
The nice thing about these mysteries is the interaction between the group of characters and how they band together to solve the mystery and protect the ones they love. This book is a dependable and enjoyable addition to the series and I look forward to the next book in this series.
Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for this ARC.
It's holiday time in the coastal town of Sea Harbor, Massachusetts. Mayor Beatrice Scaglia gives a holiday party in her beautiful new home and hires a famous chef to cater the party. The Chef is the wife of Ben and Nell's old college friend who they have not seen in years. The Chef is found murdered during the party and Cass, Nell, Birdie, and Izzy decide to investigate. This was a quick read with likeable characters and lots of red herrings. Thank you for the advance copy Netgalley!
This ARC was provided to me via Kindle, Kensington Books and by #NetGalley. Opinions expressed are completely my own.
