Shelley Shepard Gray - Buggies, Trains, and Automobiles had me laughing at the scenarios John and Ellie had to endure. Which is a great thing, but I was in places where one needed to be quiet and reserved, and I was laughing!! I enjoyed this short story and became quickly attached to the characters (I usually do with one of Gray's books).

Charlotte Hubbard - Star of Wonder was a cute story. I enjoyed Lizzie (because she reminds me of myself) and her exuberance for life and for God. She practiced what she preached and kept her eyes on God and her faith never wavered throughout the story.

Rosalind Lauer - Starlight Everlasting was fantastic! I looked up more of Rosalind Lauers books, because this was an introduction to her and her writing. I am looking forward to reading more of her works - especially the ones that take place in Joyful River.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first story in this book. The second one was kind of awkward to me and the third one did not keep my interest. Overall, it’s a pretty good book. Everything is romantically clean and sweet as always.

This is a collection of three Christmas novellas by three talented Amish authors. Each story is different, inspiring, and beautiful. A common thread of love is sewn throughout all three of these Christian tales. This is a nice way to sample different authors styles of writing. I enjoyed all three of them. It would make a great gift for the holidays. I highly recommend it and give it a 5 star rating. A copy was provided by Net Galley but these are my honest words.

Lovely stories about love and Christmas! My favorite was the final story about a married couple seeking God's will and the final leap of faith. Must read!

Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for granting me an advance copy of this book full of a beautiful collection of Amish themed Christmas stories in return for my honest opinion.

Everyone if the stories in this book is beautifully written by some of my favorite Amish writers (Shelley Shepard Gray, Charlotte Hubbard, and Rosalind Lauer).

Each one has been written with a different Christmas story with the theme of being able to come home for Christmas.

I felt blessed by each one and plan to reread this collection again closer to Christmas.

Recommend.

Thank you Kensington Books, for allowing me to read AN AMISH CHRISTMAS STAR, by Shelley Shepard Gray, Charlotte Hubbard, and Rosalind Lauer through NetGalley.

This is a wonderful collection of of three Christmas stories that share Amish tradition and the joys of a being able to come home for Christmas.

BUGGIES, TRAINS, AND AUTOMOBILES by Shelley Shepard Gray is the story of John Miller and Ellie Coblentz.

They were strangers on vacation in Pinecraft, Florida. Each needed to return home up north and discovered they needed to rely upon one another and strangers in order to travel together and also find the means to get home on time.

After awhile, they discover this trip is God’s plan for them to discover one another.

STAR OF WONDER by Charlotte Hubbard is another adventure at Promise Lodge.

Lizzie Zehr Is working at the bulk story in Promise Lodge when Raymond Overholt comes to Promise Lodge, hoping to sell the barnboard signs featuring a Christmas star.

Their courtship will be challenged by Raymond’s Old Order Bishop and his family.

Lizzie and Raymond have to convince everyone that this love is part of God’s plan.

The last story in this collection is  STARLIGHT EVERLASTING by Rosalind Lauer.

This is the story of Newlyweds, Rachel and Luke Coblentz.
Luke is forced to travel out of town for work and he and Rachel only have two days a week together. Their desire is to spend their first Thanksgiving and Christmas together as husband and wife.

When his job threatened their holidays, it will take their faith in God to bring about a happy ending.
