WHAT A FREAKING DELIGHT. As someone who is a big fan of Clayborn's 'Chance of a Lifetime' series, but has been underwhelmed by her last two books, I am so, so happy Georgie, All Along is back up to the level I know KC is capable of. Georgie is untethered, but doing her best and just trying to figure it out. Sometimes you just want to shake her and help her along, but the progression is so nice and you really see how Georgie comes into her own. And LEVI! Perfect example of a hero who can be grumbly without also being a total dick. I love them together and I really love their connection and their CONNECTIONS, heh.
I hope Clayborn can still on this level for her next novel and I'm glad I didn't give up on her after two (for me) misses!

5 STARS ⭐️
I just want to give Levi and Georgie big BIG hugs! 💛 I loved this book so much and I'm so glad it was my first 5-star read of 2023! Georgie is expansive (according to Levi) and the amount of rent-free space this book takes up in my brain is also expansive ☺️
Georgie, All Along is for the people who have a tough relationship with their hometown, who didn’t quite grow up to be the version of themselves their 14-year old self wished for, for the people still trying to figure out their dream job, for the people who have longed to feel seen, and for anyone who enjoys a heartwarming romance full of character growth.
Georgie Mulcahy, a career personal assistant, ends up back in her hometown, unexpectedly out of a job unexpectedly and comes face to face with the truth that she doesn’t know what she wants for herself or her future and she hasn’t for years. She comes across a journal from high school detailing her then goals and wishes and decides to re-explore what her younger self had hoped for by completing all the tasks. What she doesn’t expect is becoming accidental roommates with Levi Fanning, a grump that keeps to himself with a past he can’t seem to shake, and even more so doesn’t expect him to offer to help out with checking things of her list.
From the very beginning of the book, I had a feeling I was going to love it and was already rooting for both Georgie and Levi as individuals and for their romance. I could easily tell that they would share this rare understanding of each other that they so rarely found in other people. There were so many times when I was reading that I paused and just looked up to the sky with heart eyes because of a moment they shared that might seem ordinary for anyone else but showed the utmost intimacy between Georgie and Levi. Their character growth felt so real and rewarding and I can’t believe they aren’t a real-life couple that I can root for. I have thought about this book daily since I’ve read it and it’s definitely a new favorite. 💛

This book had a slow start for me and honestly I almost stopped reading, but it's worth getting through all the details and the bit of awkwardness at the beginning. The characters are great and the story gets interesting.
I loved how the ending wraps up all the characters stories! This is a cute story that is a quick read (once you get past the first couple of chapters). I like that the chapters move back and forth between the two main characters so both sides of the story are being told. I would recommend this book!

Georgie, All Along was an entertaining romance with heart that I thoroughly enjoyed, Newly unemployed Georgie arrives back in her hometown to house sit for her parents and help her childhood best friend prepare for her first child while she plots her next steps after her employer abruptly retires. She arrives to find that Levi, the older brother of her childhood crush, is already staying at her parents house while his house is being worked on. While visiting her friend Bel and lamenting that she doesn't have anything planned for her future while everyone else around her has their courses set, Georgie finds The Fic, a journal of goals for her and Bel to accomplish in high school, and sets out to complete them with Bel's support. Levi is a sweet grump who has gone to therapy and turned his life around after a number of destructive decisions he made when he was younger that alienated him from his family. I loved the way that he and Georgie were drawn to each other and he helped her accomplish the goals in The Fic that she set out to do and all the ways that he supported her. Georgie's parents and friend Bel are entertaining supporting characters that help Georgie realize that one of the things she is good at is caring for others and there is a reason that is a job she has been drawn to. I loved how Georgie and Levi came together and realized the ways that they made each other better. I am really glad to have read this book and I will definitely look into others by this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington books for the eARC in exchange for my review, all thoughts are my own.

This was my first book by Kate Clayborn, but it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed this book - the real-feeling characters with flaws, the humor throughout, and of course, the dynamic between Georgie and Levi.
Despite Levi’s bad boy past, he’s truly a cinnamon roll at heart, and I love the order he brings to Georgie’s chaos. There was some miscommunication - my least favorite trope - but it was a lower stakes kind so I didn’t mind as much.
I’ll definitely recommend this one to anyone who wants a contemporary romance with forced proximity, a redeemed bad boy, a sweet puppy dog, and humor.

i loved this story more than i thought i would, i fell in love with the writing and the story almost immediately.
it was such a small town, cute story. but it was so captivating and well written that i fell in love with the novel.
i love the premise of "the life that got away" because there is always that wonder fact in life of if you made the right choice and georgie exhibits this so well, i loved it <3

Georgie returns home to Virginia after being let go by her high-profile movie industry boss in LA. She retreats to her hometown, where her best friend, Bel, and many people from her past still live. She comes across a journal she and Bel wrote in high school full of bucket list items they never completed. So Georgie decides to embark on a project for the summer completing the items on the list to help her reconnect with herself and figure out what she wants to do next. Along the way, a handsome local, Levi, enters the picture, and...well, you know...they fall in love!
My favorite thing about this book was Clayborn's writing. It reminded me of Emily Henry's Book Lovers and a touch of Gilmore Girls because Georgie and Levi very much had a Lorelai/Luke dynamic.
I thought Georgie was a sweet main character, and her relationship with Bel was sweet to see play out on the page. They are both approaching their 30s, and I could relate to how they've grown with their friendship over the years.
Oh, and bonus points for a very adorable dog!

In the end, I really did like Georgie All Along, but I felt like the first quarter was slow going. That being said, I ended up really liking the chemistry between Georgie and Levi, and liked the flow once I got through that slow patch at the beginning. I have already purchased copies for the collection and have some patron in mind who will really like it.

Having read Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn and enjoying her style I was anxious to read Georgie All Along and I was not disappointed.
Georgie returns to her childhood home to help her best friend get ready for the birth of her baby. Georgie's future is a loose ends; finding herself out of a job and not sure what to do with her future.
Georgie meets Levi and they share many heart-warming moments of Georgie trying to find her way and Levi learning a lot about himself in the process.
I eagerly anticipate Ms. Claborn's next book. Read this book if you like an intelligent romance with a heartfelt story.

Ahhh I just loved Georgie and Levi! This was such a fun book! It was a rom com but also so much more. I loved the growth that both MCs went through. Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for humor and good characters and romance.

I really enjoyed this book. Full of heart. I enjoyed the writing and characters and it was quite compelling. Would definitely recommend.

Honestly, this book is my favorite work by Kate Clayborn! The genuine and vulnerable nature of the characters, as well as their poignancy, are reflected beautifully in the pages. Both Georgie and Levi are special and extremely likable characters who seem lost and exhausted, unsure of how to move forward with their lives. Their paths cross at their lowest points. Georgie reluctantly leaves her PA job in Los Angeles and returns to her hometown, where the townspeople see her as a failure. Levi, on the other hand, is the black sheep of his family, estranged from his father and siblings, and shunned by the townspeople because of the damage he caused in his youth. The only person who gives Levi a chance is Paul, Georgie's peacemaker father, who invites him to stay in their vacant house until his construction job is finished. However, he didn't expect Georgie, who is jobless, homeless, and aimless, to also return to her childhood home at the same time. Eventually, Levi and Georgie become roommates for a limited time.
Georgie, used to putting others' needs first after working as a demanding assistant, now feels a sense of emptiness. She has no idea what the future holds and has forgotten how to make choices for herself. When she finds her teenage fiction filled with her younger self's ideas, she sees it as a sign and a new guideline for her future.
She joins forces with Levi to fulfill her bucket list, not expecting to enjoy spending so much time with the grumpy, troubled man, who also happens to be the brother of her high school crush. She also didn't expect to fall for him so hard.
Levi, in a complicated situation, feels like he doesn't deserve happiness or the love of Georgie, who is chaotic, messy, smart, funny, and beautiful. However, he falls hard for her too. Can they overcome obstacles and find happiness in each other's arms?
This book is a beautiful story of self-growth, regret, unresolved dreams, forgiveness, and love. The characterization is perfect and it warmed my heart. It is one of the best books I have recently read!
I would like to extend a special thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for providing me with this amazing digital reviewer copy in exchange for my honest thoughts.

Kate Clayborn’s magnetic writing pulls you from the very start. She has the power of writing inner dialogue and plot u-turns in a way that does not drag or bore you to death. It’s the kind of poetic writing that makes me read everything. Every. Single. Word.
In Kate's latest release, Georgie returns to her hometown after being let go from her personal assistant job in Hollywood. While her purpose is to help her best friend, Bel, get through her pregnancy, it is to also to figure out what she wants to do next. This is endeavour is doable when she finds the friendship fan fic that both besties wrote in high school. George believes that if she completes the list of adventurous challenges, she’ll discover what she wants in life.
What Georgie doesn’t expect in this adventure is Levi, her last minute roommate in her parents’ home. Former bad boy and currently the most grumpy dude of the town, Levi inadvertently captures the magic and spark of life that paves a more promising future—thanks to Georgie.
“Knowing what you don't want isn’t a blank,” I say. “Maybe the problem is everyone makes it seem like one. Because mostly they only know a few things you can fill up your life with. Sports or clubs or college or jobs. Whatever. There’s other changes in life.” She’s quiet in front of me, her body unmoving. It’s rare for Georgie to be this still, and I can tell she’s thinking. It gives me time to think, too. Back then, I didn’t know what to fill up my life with, either, and I ended up picking trouble. I wonder what it would’ve been like if I could’ve picked something else. If I could’ve somehow picked Georgie. If I could have had her in my life all along.
What I loved about Georgie and Levi was their rawness, their vulnerability, their tears, their heart on their sleeves, their support system, and their perfect flaws that give them the power to rule the world if they wanted to.
I highly recommend “Georgie, All Along”; Kate Clayborn’s writing is sheer perfection.

Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn is a highly anticipated release following our girl Georgie Mulcahy, a personal assistant who suddenly has to leave California and move back to her hometown in Virginia. She finds her old "friendfic" diary where she dreamed up all the things she wanted to do as a teenager. Now that she is home and feeling lost she comes up with the idea to use this as a guide for figuring out what the next steps of her life should be. All is going to plan until she is confronted with Levi who offers to help her on her quest. What follows is.....exciting!!
This book is full of heart! A perfect story following a three dimensional heroine who will have you cheering for her the whole way. Do not miss!
Thank you to Netgalley and Kensington Books for the ARC - Georgie, All Along is out now!

I was not expecting the emotional rollercoaster that this book was. The highs and the lows. The romance and humor, and all the pain in between. Bravo, this is a well written book that I am sure will become a classic. I fully enjoyed the romance, and other aspects of this book.

The first Kat Clayborn book that I've read and it will not be the last. Diving into her back catalog now.
This was wonderful. The characters were so good. I was rooting for Georgie even if I was a little annoyed by her in the beginning. Loved every part of this. And I especially love that it ended with them together but not married. So many different ways to show commitment.

'Georgie All Along' 💛 is book written by Kate Clayborn. Thank you Netgalley for giving the advance copy to read. The book is hitting shelf on 24th January. I'm sure it's going to be a sweet happy read for the book lovers of romance genre.
Georgie Mulachy a secretary of a star from LA with busy lifestyle returns her hometown due to unavoidable events. Back home at one point of time she comes across a diary written as teenager with many wishes to fulfill. She has her prego bestie Annabelle in life to add elements in it. And ofcourse an unexpected roommate Levi Fanning who changes her whole perception for the betterment. And last but not the least a cute dog Hank plays a good role as catalyst in the romcom.
The book is like a smooth potion with all the necessary love ingredients amalgamated well. Georgie is just like a girl next door and her feelings and wishes are any girl can relate too and so taking narration ahead with all the characters is done beautifully by Kate. And it's interesting to read how Georgie navigates her wishlist only to realise maybe it's not just pages she needs to follow!❤️

Georgie has come back to town after losing her job. She wants to go back and do the things she wanted to do back in high school. From the list she forgot about. Can her and her bestie complete the list?
Georgie returns to her parents house while they are away but it turns out they're already letting someone else stay there. The brother of a boy she used to crush on. A very reserved and quiet man. What is his deal?
The characters, the grumpy sunshine trope the setting. It's all perfect! I absolutely LOVED it.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington for this ARc. I truly adored it
