An early contender for my favorite book of the year. Kate Clayborn's books all feel so real and close, like her characters are friends you already know and love, and you can't help but feel everything that they're feeling. The growing relationship between Georgie and Levi is butterfly-inducing, and watching as their trust grows and their lives become more and more intertwined until they can't possibly be apart was endlessly thrilling.

Finally finished Georgie all along! This book was slow, the lead male character Levi is the stereotypical broken man and Georgie is a hot mess. Hank the dog is the best character! I liked the few spicy scenes but this book just had so much annoying inner dialogue from both lead characters that didn’t make sense or add to the story in any way. I enjoyed the happily ever after but it took too long to get there.
Thanks for netgalley and the publisher for the advanced ebook.

Georgie was such a delightful character to read. Watching her growth through the text from lost and searching, to being in a comfortable position in her life was heart warming. Her relationship with Levi was believable, and the conflict did not feel forced, which was honestly refreshing! The cast of characters surrounding them made the book exceptional. I would recommend this book to someone who likes small-town/home-town romance, a re-invention story, and even coming of age (even though they are doing it much later than typical!).
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington Books for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Oh how I’ve truly missed such a perfect dual perspective romance!!! And in a small town where everyone knows everyone?!? Definite recipe for an all-night reading sesh!!
“A soft place to land.”
The sheer amount of emotions packed in this one is crazy. It is truly beautiful when even a love story is much more than just that. There’s even subtle lessons to learn and remember for life: the maddening roller coaster that life itself is, the people who stay around no matter what, the people you meet along the way that seem like they’ve always been there, and what you choose to do with your life in the face of all this.
Speaking of the love story here, yeah plenty of swoon involved. And not just Levi Fanning, mind you. Henry Yoon as well. One of the most striking moments of the book is when Georgie couldn’t have been more happier for her best friend for having found her “prince among men.”
As always, thank you @netgalley for my advance copy!
P.S., An extremely special shout-out to Georgie’s mind for promptly thinking up a hilarious range of names that Cal could be a shortened form of. From the somewhat acceptable Calvin or Calthorpe, to Calcium and Calculate was crazy fun. And even more fun was when the real name was revealed 🤣🤣 #iykyk

Darling little love story. I felt all the feels and enjoyed it! Highly recommend! The dog was the star of the book. Took a bit to get into, but don’t give up! Thank you so much NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

I throughly enjoyed this book. My expectations were definitely met and I’d read more by this author in the future! I bought it for my shelves as well because it’s just so pretty.

What works for me in contemporary romances: grumpy/sunshine, forced proximity, quiet and vulnerable hero who loves his dog to bits, and supportive female friendships.
This had all of this and was such a sweet read! I am so soft.
It's not an entirely new storyline: Woman loses job, realizes she doesn't know what she wants to do in life, decides to make a bucket list of sorts to regain that spark she once had with the help of a grumpy ostracized man (who happens to be the older brother of her childhood crush). Then bam there's feelings and a budding relationship. Add in some family drama and that's the book.
I liked the stream of consciousness way of writing. Georgie falls under the manic pixie category but she's not over the top and still felt relatable. She and Levi connect easily, support each other in the ways they most need it, and I appreciate the dual POV! Levi's absolutely SMITTEN with Georgie and reading his gushing internal thoughts was a real treat.
There's a conflict I wish resolved a little more thoroughly, but I'm not mad at how it was addressed. Overall, the book takes its time and is a slice of life style foray on the characters and their messy lives. Considering the setting and subject matter, I thought it was fitting.
Rating 3.5 rounded up to 4 out of 5 stars.

I have really enjoyed all of Kate Clayborn’s books, but this one is my favorite so far. I loved both of the main characters, their journeys, and their love. Made my heart ache in the best of ways.

Kate Clayborn books are an autoread for me, and this one did not disappoint. I loved that this was as much Levi’s story as it was Georgie’s. It was heartwarming, funny, and charming. I rooted for these characters, and I did not want it to end. This was more than a rom-com—it was full of wisdom and all about second chances.

Georgie All Along was a cute romantic comedy about a woman who is looking for the next step in her life and returns to her small town to hopefully figure it out, only to find romance along the way.
Georgie as a character was alright, but pales in comparison to her male counterpart Levi Fanning. He brought depth and soul to this book. I’m not sure this book would have been as good if the male main character was any less developed or rich. Truly a blueprint for all romantic heroes.

Georgie has always put others’ needs before her own. When she loses her personal assistant job she returns to her childhood home to figure out what she wants to do, but also help her best friend get ready for the arrival of her baby. Georgie finds an old friend fic they had created and decides to go back in time to do the things they wrote about but never did. When Levi, the older brother of her childhood crush, also happens to be staying at Georgie’s parents’ he agrees to help her complete her list. And he can't help falling for her along the way.
I loved Georgie! I was just rooting for her to figure out her life, even though in the end she really didn’t need to have it all figure out. I think that is a good lesson for anyone. I also loved her relationship with Levi - both knowingly flawed but so sweet (and spicy!). Now that I’ve finished this one I actually miss all the characters. Thank you Netgalley and Kensington Books for the egalley in exchange for my honest review.

“I think you probably made all sorts of marks. Probably most of the people around here couldn’t see them, is all. Maybe you couldn’t see them, either.”
Georgie Mulcahy has made a career out of putting others before herself. When an unexpected upheaval sends her away from L.A. and back to her small hometown, Georgie must confront an uncomfortable truth: her own wants and needs have always been a disconcertingly blank page.
But then Georgie comes across a forgotten artifact—a “friendfic” diary she wrote as a teenager, filled with possibilities she once imagined. To an overwhelmed Georgie, the diary serves as a guidebook for getting started on a new path.
Georgie’s plans hit a snag, though, when she comes face to face with an unexpected roommate—Levi Fanning, onetime town troublemaker and current town hermit. But this quiet, grouchy man is more than just his reputation, and he offers to help Georgie with her quest. As the two make their way through her wishlist, Georgie begins to realize that what she truly wants might not be in the pages of her diary after all, but right by her side—if only they can both find a way to let go of the past.
This book was absolutely adorable! It’s not a lighthearted romance, though. It’s so much more than that. It has depth and very, very flawed characters. But they’re inherently good and you can feel that seeping out of the pages. If you enjoy stories about redemption, healing from past hurts, working through your mess, and finding love, I encourage you to get lost in this story. I can’t remember the last time I rooted for a fictional relationship the way I did with Georgie and Levi. 💕
Thank you to. Netgalley, Kensington Books, and the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Georgie is unemployed and makes the decision to move back home. She stays in her parents house, unknowing that they also invited Levi to stay there while repairs were being made to his house.
This was a beautiful story of Georgie’s coming into her own and finding out just how she tends to put others first but it’s time to focus on herself. And the love developing with Levi of course.
3.5 stars but rounded up to 4.
Thank you to Kensington books and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Sorry, I DNF'd it. I also tried the audio. I'm very sorry. I could not connect with the characters.
I will try again in the future. I've heard really great things about this book.
I like this author. Thank you for the ARC
I didn't see any option for DNF so I hope that it's OK to type it out like this.

This is my second Kate Clayborn book, and I enjoyed this one more than my first. There were hints of so many romance tropes in this one: The meet-cute, Forced Proximity, Enemies to Lovers, Childhood sweethearts. I appreciate the growth that both of the main characters, Georige and Levi, go through on their path to love. Plus, I always love a dual POV. A few open door moments, but overall fairly mild on the spiciness scale. Overall, I found this book to be a sweet and engaging story.
Thank you to Netgally and the publisher for providing access to a digital ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is a book about self discovery about being yourself first and bending to others after about making sure your needs are met with the most beautiful sensitive writing concerning the characters inner monologues laying bare how old wounds flare up at inopportune moments and the impulse to act is hard to control ! This book had me rooting for both of the main characters but especially the „grumpy“ male main character!
Georgie Mulcahy had been the perfect assistant to a star screenwriter in California. Existing to please and go with her boss’s whims. Being goodnatured, unflappable and kind in the face of chaos comes natural to her and when the opportunity came up she made it a job. Now as her boss has decided to retire, Georgie heads home to Virginia for an extended stay to take stock of her life and decide whether she wants to stay with this accidental career or do something else entirely. Additionally her childhood best friend Bel is pregnant and could use the help. While unpacking Bel‘s moving boxes, they find a notebook filled with a list of things the two of them had planned to do when changing from middle school to high school. Most of the things were never acted on, high school started and the notebook was forgotten but now Georgie thinks working through the list will help her figure out if her life is headed in the right direction. Added on she discovers that her parents have promised Levi Fanning, her high school crush‘s bad boy older brother that he could stay at theirs while his house was being repaired. Levi, long estranged from his family, is a loner who lives a quiet life and now they are housemates …
I loved Kate Clayborn's book Love Lettering so I was excited to read this one. Georgie, All Along was a heartwarming and touching story. Georgie, while raised by two free-spirited parents, was given lots of love but never provided with any guidance. Levi had to make his own way without love and support. The characterization of these two misunderstood, vulnerable people was incredibly well done. It is easy to fall in love with Georgie and Levi.

This was a "like" not "love" read for me which was a tad disappointing since I'd only been seeing RAVE reviews. There was nothing particularly bad about this book, I just thought it wasn't a super memorable story to be honest.
What I did enjoy was the small town charm, the friendship between Georgie and her pregnant best friend Belle and that it was a dual POV romance. It was also a bit spicier than I was expecting (albeit still the fade to black kind).
I waited to listen to the audiobook for this and that also was a little bit of a let down since I wasn't a huge fan of either narrator. Regardless, this was still an enjoyable, feel good romance I'd happily recommend. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!

I absolutely loved this. book. Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn is a wonderful story about being kind to yourself. It’s two mismatched people finding their way to each other, and back to themselves. A woman trying to battle her wild, chaotic past back in her hometown. And a man trying to battle his harmful, bad boy past in a hometown that still judges him. They are so similar yet it takes them a while to figure it out. This is sweet, and sad, and swoony and perfect remedy for a winter day.

I must admit that I found the characters, the relationships, and the premise too unrealistic for my taste. I'm really not a fan of close proximity romances; they're opportunistic and come off as far too shallow to enjoy - particularly when they happen so fast like this one. Overall: sweet, cute, light, but not for me.
Special thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Publishing Corp. for sharing this digital ARC with me in exchange for my honest review.

Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the advanced copy of the book.
This was a cute and heartfelt book that I really enjoyed reading
