This book just wasn't for me. I couldn't get into it. I found the main character so unlikeable that I couldn't relate.

I loved this book! Georgie is a character you can't help but fall in love with, and Levi was a great hero. All the side characters were great, too!

ugh, I am pretty mad at myself right now I did not know this was only three chapters and I didn't go look for the full book when it came out. I am now going to go find this book and finish it as Georgie has sucked me in and I must know what happens!

This was a really fun read! I really loved seeing not only the relationship between Levi and Georgie develop, but also the friendship between Georgie and Bel. It was so heartwarming to see them interact, especially when Bel was finally having her "Come to Jesus" moment. I will say that I wasn't a super big fan of how strict Georgie was being withe the fic, but then how it didn't seem to come into play in certain parts. There were times where I would genuinely forget about it, and then it was like that's all that was discussed. I also wasn't a super huge fan of the third act conflict. I thought that Levi's reaction to it was a little off, and I also really didn't enjoy how much Georgie snapped. Overall, it definitely was a nice, easy read. A big thanks to NetGalley and Kensington for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Kate Clayborn’s book are always so sweet and swoony.
This book was adorable and soft and I really loved Georgie and Levi.
It was also fairly low angst which is always a plus for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Kensington for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a good book I liked all the characters we got to know and how much we saw them grow. I also really liked how this book explored complex relationships.
In terms of romance, I felt like it definitely there but not exactly front and centre. I felt like this book focused more healing and self discovery, which is absolutely fine, but it just wasn't what I had expected.
I'll give this 3 stars because even though it didn't meet my expectations, the book itself is very well written and I would definitely recommend it if you're in the state of mind to read something a little heavier.
Thank you to the publisher for kindly providing me with an ARC via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Georgie is at loose ends. Her boss has decided to stop being a big-shot movie/TV show maker and enjoy the simple things. She suggests Georgie does the same. Georgie has no idea what to do with herself, so Georgie goes home to Virginia, figuring she could entertain her best friend Bel while Bel awaits the arrival of her first child. Georgie and Bel find their old Friend Fic notebook from middle school, which outlines the goals that they wanted to do before graduating from high school. These were the last solid plans that Georgie (almost/early 30s) has made, so she figures now is a good time to actually fulfill these goals and maybe she'll figure out what to do with her life in the meantime.
Oh yeah, she's housesitting for her free-spirited parents while they're on an RV trip. They neglected to tell her that her father has also allowed someone else to crash in their house while they're gone-- Levi, the black sheep of a well-to-do family in town, whose house is being renovated. Levi has been deeply estranged from his family for years because of some dumb things he did as a kid, and he's never really forgiven himself or his family for any of it. Georgie had the biggest crush on Levi's brother when she was younger-- in fact, he's a big part of her Friend Fic-- but she finds that as an adult, she is intrigued by this very grumpy dock builder.
I loved this. I sped through it, and now I'm mad because it's over. I loved Levi. I loved his dog, Hank. The number of times I wanted to give them both hugs is innumerable. I loved Georgie, who finds herself in a position that so many of us find ourselves in, wondering just what the heck we want to do when we grow up. I loved her realistic relationship with Bel-- both the good and the ugly. I loved her interactions with Levi and with her parents, and with Levi and her parents together. So really, you should just go ahead and read this.
Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my thoughts, all of which are my own.

This is a perfect clean romance. The main characters are great, the grumpy/sunshine banter is great. I love the duel point of view, each chapter reads from either Levi or Georgie.
Levi also has a dog, Hank. Why is it when there’s a pet in a book it’s instantly ✔️✔️✔️?!?
So there’s small town, grumpy x sunshine, high school crushes older brother, did I mention there’s a dog???
I really enjoyed this book. It wasn’t full of romance cliches which was nice. If you’ve ever wondered what life could have been like if you’d taken another path, then this book is for you.

I kept hearing good things about this book, along with how popular it is. I enjoy reading romances and romantic comedies, so I decided to give this book a try.
I'm glad that I did! Kate Clayborn did a wonderful job with this book! She captured the romance and relationship buildup quite well with this book. I also enjoyed the characters and story as well. What made the book special was how relatable Georgie (the protagonist) was. I could relate to Georgie and wanting another chance to fulfill the ideas and dreams I had when I was young. She's a funny character and you couldn't help but root for her.
My thanks to Kensington Publishing and NetGallery for a digital copy of this book for my review!

The way this book tugged at my heartstrings! I was pulled in immediately and did not want to put it down. There were so many things I adored: the dual POV, the way both MCs were given equally well-written character arcs, the supporting characters and a perfect blend of heart, humor and spice.

I’ve had a Kate Clayborn book on my best-of-the-year list every year since starting this newsletter in 2020. It may only be February, but I’m willing to call it now: Georgie, All Along, Kate’s newest book, will be on my list this December.
Georgie, All Along follows Georgie Mulcahy, a longtime Hollywood personal assistant, who moves back to her small hometown after she finds herself suddenly jobless. Georgie, as Kate described, is a mess. The book opens with her carrying all her possessions — loaded in trash bags — into her parents’ home. Overwhelmed with indecision about her future, Georgie finds a "friendfic" diary, a journal she wrote in high school describing the fabulous futures she and her friends would have. She sets out to use the book as a guide to build the future she wants, but her plans hit a roadblock when she meets Levi Fanning, a former troublemaker and now loner. Levi, with his tight orderly life, is oddly compelled by Georgie’s messiness and offers to help her complete her quest.
What a joy of a book. Just like Kate’s previous works, it’s warm, but never saccharine, thoughtful and cozy.

This was a solid 3-star read until I got to the last three chapters, at which point it jumped to 4 stars because of all the emotional hard work done by the characters.

Georgie is sweet and relatable, and I adored the relationship between her and Bel. Levi is a cutie. The friendships are strong and the family dynamics are real life. A cute story.

Georgie All Along by Kate Clayborn was an absolutely brilliant ride. Such a good book and I now feel ever so slightly miserable that I have finished this delicious novel.
We meet main character Georgie who is working as a PA but her current boss decides to switch up careers and this leaves Georgie at a somewhat loose end and and she decides to move back home and finds her and her besties old diary from when they were a teenager and its detailing all their hopes/dreams, Georgie decides to use the diary that her and her friend wrote and try and do some of the things they listed in that book and Georgie goes on such a journey.
Whilst Georgie is being utterly the best character ever, we meet Levi, who is a grumpy character that Georgie is well aware of and their lives become somewhat entwined
I love these characters, I want them to be my pals and my neighbours and wow Kate Clayborn is an utter genius. I am not normally one for romance novels but I am sold and will be looking to read more of the authors work.
Thanks to Kate Clayborn, NetGalley and the publishers for allowing me a copy of this beautiful novel in exchange for my honest review.

What a great blend of fun, humor and romance balanced out with real life less than ideal issues. The main character is adorable… lost, trying to find herself and optimistic. Her relationships are realistic - her semi obliviousness is adorable. I really enjoyed this book - it was a great escape from reality. I felt for the characters, their emotions written clearly and the story was fun. A quick fun read!

I love a grumpy leading man, and Levi is also great in his role as a former black sheep who has turned his life around but who still struggles with the perceptions his community still has for him from his wild younger days.
Georgia is also charming as she deals with similar perceptions and tries to figure out what she wants to be when she grows up now that the career as PA that consumed her life goes away when her boss retires. Overall, I found this sweet with fun supporting characters (Georgie's kooky parents and Levi's dog Hank) and nice relationship development.

2.75 starts, rounded up to 3 for all the laughs. This small town romance is full of endearing characters and unfulfilled potential. Georgie and Levi are so fun and sweet together (mostly), but this is an unusual case where I think the romantic couple needs less internal and more external conflict. Instead of continually reacting badly to each other, whether because of misunderstandings or their own hangups, I'd like to see them prove their rightness to each other and everyone else by uniting against an outside force (Levi's dad and the opinion of the townspeople were perfectly positioned for this before just... fizzling into nothing). As it is, I began questioning if they will ever get out of this cycle of hurt and reconciliation. This is a book more interested in personal healing than in romance, and while the former is well done it's at the expense of the latter, at least for me. Still, I cared and I laughed, so I won't warn anyone away — just don't expect it to be world-changing.
My thanks to NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book! After having previously DNF'd 2 of the author's previous novels, I was reluctant to read but really liked the sound of the plot. And, I am glad I did. I really liked the story and main characters. It wasn't easy breezy but wasn't too heavy either.

This is my first Kate Clayborn novel but I don't think it should be my last. Georgie, All Along is told in dual POV from the title FMC Georgie and MMC, Levi.
I fell in love with the characters as they worked through their messy pasts and some beautiful self realisation. I found the characters well written and relatable. The story flows in a very natural speed and the spice wasn't forced.
Overall an easy to read story that leaves you feeling warm and fuzzy

When her job as a Hollywood assistant comes to an abrupt end, Georgie Mulcahy trades the frenetic pace of life serving an A-lister for a return to her sleepy hometown on the Chesapeake Bay. In a box in her best friend's house, she finds notebooks she filled in high school with lists and plans, and wonders if maybe the clues about where to go next lie in her past. The snag in her plans to work through the lists and quietly contemplate her existence/future? She just became accidental roommates with the former town bad-boy.

My favorite kind of romance is the one in which someone solves the mystery of themself, and GEORGIE, ALL ALONG is that to a T.
Oh, it's got all the other delicious bits you'd want: a complicated love interest who isn't what he first seems, a great best friend & supporting cast of characters, a richly portrayed setting and sense of place, A GREAT DOG.
But what makes it elite tier is Georgie at its center, and Kate Clayborn's unparalleled ability to write flawed, real humans inside of heart-capturing stories (along with one-liners that will make you cackle outloud).
And did I mention the dog?? Seriously, don't read past page 31-ish if you want to go to sleep before your bedtime, because once Hank appears on the page, you're either not gonna be able to put it down or you've got a heart of stone.
With Georgie, Clayborn is 6 straight hits and no misses—the smart, funny writer to pick up when you need to be guaranteed a deeply satisfying read. I recommend her backlist as fervently as I rec all of her new books...but if you need me today, I'll be re-reading *this* one, and getting charmed all over again.
