Not Dead Yet is a modern-day suspense novel written by Traci Hunter Abramson. It is the sixth book in the Guardian series. It is not necessary to have read the previous books in order to enjoy this one.

Summary: Someone tried to kill Cassidy Edgemont four years ago. In order to protect her, the guardians faked her death, and gave her a whole new life.

But now someone has recognized her, and she’s on the run. Can she stay alive long enough to save her family and the world from a terrorist organization?

My Thoughts: This was a fun book. I like the whole premise of a secret organization filled with people that in a kind of witness protection that work behind the scenes to keep the world safe-it makes for a great series. I liked the title too-it definitely made me want to read this one.

This book is well-written, has a unique plot with a good mystery, and plenty of action and chase scenes. I really enjoyed how the team worked together to figure out how to stop the bad guys too.

If you like action and suspense, this reads like a good action movie, and I recommend it!

I would like to thank Covenant Communications for providing me with a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my review. Thank you!

Wow, what a ride!

I loved this story so much! Such amazing characters and unputdownable plot. It grips you from the beginning and you can let go.

Cas has been officially dead for four years but actually working for the guardians while remaining a ghost. When her family comes to Paris where she's living, Donovan comes to help her untangle the web lies. And that's when the ride starts!

I really liked the European setting and I related to the main characters despite my being so different from them. There's lots of intrigue and suspense, sweet romance between Cas and Donovan, and thrilling action from the get-go. I read it as watching a Mission: Impossible movie. Highly recommend!

I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

I absolutely loved this book. I have read others in the Guardian's series and this one kicked it up a notch. It also got my brain swirling with current events being what they are.

I love this team that Traci Abramson has created. I loved the Easter Eggs from other books as well.

Cas and Donovan were a great team and I liked that this book was different from the others. It is an entirely different thing when the Guardian is being guarded and trying to solve her own "murder".

The Chemistry between these two was fabulous and the story was rich in details and suspense. And until it was revealed, I was never sure who the bad guy was.

I love the interwoven nature of Traci Abramson's stories as I am never sure who I am going to see from another book.

The story was fresh and relevant. I look forward to reading it again and reading more.

I received an early copy through the publisher and NetGalley and this is my honest review.

Traci Hunter Abramson’s newest book in the Guardian series, Not Dead Yet, is one of her best books so far! It has all the ingredients you would expect from this author, action, suspense, romance, intrigue, and humor. I loved everything about this book and read it way onto the night. I didn’t want to put it down. I will definitely be recommending to all I know. This is one book you don’t want to miss!

I found Traci Hunter Abramsons books a few years ago. Started with the Saint Squad Series. (Love those and recommend them). Forward to now: I'm honored to be able to be a part of her launch group for her upcoming book, Not Dead Yet.

Synopsis:
Cassidy Edgemont has technically been dead for years. At least that's what it says on paper. After being mixed up with a bad group of people, called the Coalition, Cas needs to make a choice. Either fake her death and join the guardians, or face the Coalition and the repussions for betraying them.

Four years later, while living in Paris, working as a Guardian, she gets news of her family coming into the city. Which changes EVERYTHING. She needs to hide now more than ever so that her family doesn't see her...

After some fake news, a bombing and trouble starting to arise in the city that she loves, she starts to recognize the work of the Coalition.

Having to team up with another fellow guardian, Donovan, to figure out how her past and the recent threats are linked, things become more dangerous to those closets around her.

Review:

This book is probably one of my top favorites of the guardian series. It is a page turner, that is for sure. It made me feel SO many emotions. It was like a rollercoaster of intrigue, anxiousness, mixed in with fear and then just endearing love for the characters. I am not sure how she can top this. But like we all know, she will. So keep writing Traci! We love and need your amazing books.

-I was given a copy of this book to give an honest review. These are my words.

Not Dead Yet
by Traci Hunter Abrasion
Book 6 in the Guardian series
Rating: 4/5

The author continues to deliver high impact, romantic thrillers that the reader cannot put down. As a fan of the author, I was excited to get my hands on an ARC and read what came next. Each book can be read as a standalone which I can verify since this is only the first book from the series that I've had the privilege of reading and I was not confused. However, I plan on reading the rest when time allows.

First, I was immediately drawn to the cover. I loved seeing a woman of color on the cover, which made me even more excited to delve into the story.
Second, the European setting of the story was well written and dropped me right into life in France and Belgium. I loved reading about Cass' love for Paris and am impatiently waiting till I can go myself.
Third, the romance between the main characters was sweet and intense at the same time. I liked how they could relate to each other's situations but still had to face the realities of what a relationship between them would look like.
Fourth, the action is jam-packed and this thriller is sure to get your heart racing as you try to solve the mystery along with the main characters.

Highly recommend this clean, contemporary romantic suspense with intrigue and a lot of heart.

My thanks to the author and publisher for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.

Cassidy (Cas) Edgemont has been dead for four years….at least in the public eye. Four years ago she joined the Guardians when her life was in danger from the Coalition.
The suspense starts from the first and keeps going until the last page. Cassidy is a great character and putting her together with Donovan when her cover is blown creates an unforgettable story. I enjoy having Cole Bridger, who I met in Heirs of Falcon Point, be a part of this story. Cole provides crucial assistance.
What a tangled web is woven here. Hang on tight because the story will keep you guessing as the author slowly unravels events to leading to answers Cas has been waiting four years to learn.
For all that the authors says she hates kissing scenes, there are some good ones in this book. Because what is suspense without the romance? We are kept guessing as to whether Cas and Donovan will be able to stay together once they’ve connected.
This is one Guardian adventure you won’t want to miss.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this book.

This was a great book! The author always does such a great job of writing relatable, endearing characters into unique and intriguing plot lines. This Guardian book has a different spin than the others so it held my interest from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend reading it!

This book is an action-packed thrill ride from beginning to end. I love all the twists and turns the plot takes. Cas and Donovan are great together. Add in the other 'ghosts' and a CIA agent and things get really fun. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it.

Another winner by Traci Hunter Abramson! Not Dead Yet is the sixth book in Traci Hunter Abramson’s Guardian series. I have to admit that I haven’t read the first five yet but it did not take away from the amazing book except that there were some characters who I did not really know, but otherwise it was great!
Cassidy Edgemont was a great character, she really drew me in from the beginning. I loved reading about Cas and reading about her trying to save her family. She had suffered a lot and lost a lot, but she was still trying to do the right thing through it all. It was definitely sweet to read about her interacting with Donovan and learning to trust him though. Cas was so strong and I just loved her character throughout the book
Donovan was also lovely. I loved him from the beginning. It was fun to read from his perspective and see him learning to trust Cas, and then falling in love. He was also a guardian and he wanted to find his own family. Donovan worked hard to protect Cas and help their mission.
Donovan and Cas were cute together and I definitely loved reading about their interactions. However romance was not the only thing that kept this book going. There was suspense and mystery. Oh my goodness, I was on the edge of my seat reading this book. I didn’t know what was going to happen or how Cas was going to protect her family. It was so exciting and I was engaged the whole time
Not Dead Yet was wonderful! I loved everything about it! It was fun to see the other characters, I need to go read their books. I would definitely recommend Not Dead Yet. Not Dead Yet is a clean romantic suspense book.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the publisher through Netgalley. All views expressed are only my honest opinion, a positive review was not required.

The guardian series continues with the story of Cas and Donovan. Though the two have worked together in the past, they are forced together again when Cassidy’s identity is compromised. Cas has to trust Donovan and the rest of the guardians to not only protect her life and that of her family (who believe she has died years ago) but also stop a group of terrorists before they can cause global unrest.

This story was an action packed ride from start to finish. Readers will be at the edge of their seats as Cas and Donovan race to the find answers and prevent tragedy. The pages will keep turning with plot points lof race, politics, fake news, terrriorisim, and others. All plot points were added in a masterful way, and created complexity.

The chemistry between Cas and Donovan was felt by all and developed in an believable way. Even though her life was in danger-Cas was a level headed, strong lead who held her own. Donovan was protective and capable but still allowed Cas to shine. The character growth the two experienced was enjoyable to watch unfold as they worked together and acknowledged the feelings between them.

It was also a treat to see returning characters, not only from the guardian series, but also from other stories by Traci Abramson!

All in all I would recommend this read to all who would enjoy an action/suspense revolving around the lives of operatives, with a good sprinkle of romance in between.

Thank you to the publisher for allowing me to read and review this wonderful book ahead of publication date. Although this book was provided to me, This review is my own.

'Grip your courage with two hands,' is a phrase mentioned in this book and you will need to grip your book with two hands because the suspense starts right from the beginning.

I always love Traci's novels because it's like returning home to friends. I've been following this series since the beginning and will read until the end! Her character development is fantastic and I love the clues she throws out along the way trying to have me guess the ending before it happens! This one kept me guessing (and re-guessing) right up until the end!

I loved the intrigue in this novel based around the harm of main stream media, and the destruction that misinformation and/or propaganda can cause and how it can be used against a country. It was very intriguing in the digitally based world we currently live in.

The romance was sweet and perfectly placed into this suspense! Another two thumbs up on the latest in this series!

Thanks to the Author, Publisher & NetGalley for the copy. All thoughts in this review are my own.

" Cassidy Edgemont has been dead for four years. At least, that is what the world has been led to believe. After becoming unwittingly entangled in a group called the Coalition, known for using fake news to generate political unrest in the United States, Cas was offered a devastating choice: stage her own death and join her rescuers, the guardians, or risk the wrath of the organization she betrayed. She chose death."

Cas is now living in Paris as an agent for the agency that saved her. But then her family comes to Paris, and someone knows she is alive. A fellow agent, Donovan, is sent to help her. They work together to figure out what is going on, while trying to save lives, including Cassidy's.

This was a fun, quick read. It has mystery, it has action, it has Paris, it has secret agents and it has romance. I mean what more do you want?

If this is the kind of book you like to read, you should add this one to your list.

Thank you to the author, the publisher and #netgalley for the ARC which did not impact my review.

Another great book in the guardian series!! I love how these all build on each other. These books grab your attention and don't let go until the end. Fast paced and fun. Highly recommend this book and the whole series!!

Traci has done it again! I love her books!!! They are phenomenal and a breath of fresh air to break up my usual reads. Traci writes books that involve the CIA, FBI, and special ops teams like the Guardians and Navy Seals. The plots she creates are intricate and super entertaining. This one was a sweet romance with a whole lot of action—not the gory action, though.

Pretty much, I think everyone should at least read one of Traci’s books to get what I’m talking about. They’re exciting, interesting, and make you want to binge all of them.

Cas and Donovan are both Guardian agents and are both considered dead to the world. They are Ghosts who help the government with various missions. When they are thrown into a mission to gather intel and keep Cas safe, there’s an obvious connection between the two that’s difficult to avoid. It’s adorable. I’d highly recommend Not Dead Yet.

“They all sat at the table, and Cas unwrapped her crepe. "Do you ever feel like your life is centered around where your next meal is coming from?"

I found how much some of the characters loved food was very relatable. It definitely made for a fun read and reminded me of Quinn from the Saint squad.

This book is the six book in the guardian series. It can be read as a stand alone but it probably would be more enjoyable to read it as part of a series. Something that I really liked is that it answer the question I’ve been asking since the guardian series started. What do you do if your family thinks your dead and shows up in the city you’re station in?

This book was one that I couldn’t put down once I got started. Cas and Donovan were compelling and relatable characters. Donovan is definitely a favorite due to his love of food. I was at the edge of my seat the second half of the book. I also enjoyed the fact that it was a little different from the past few guardian books. It didn’t circle back to Jim Whitmore running from president which was a nice change if pace.

Towards the end I did think the book was starting to drag a little. I do think that was on me a little. But over all the book was a great suspense book. There was new faces and old faces. This is a definite read this summer.

These thoughts and opinion are my own. Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communication forgiving me the ARC.

Releases June 13 so preorder now!

This quote made me laugh out loud! It was definitely one of my favorites

This book is the latest in the Guardian series and it was such a great read! From the first page I was pulled in and could not stop reading. Who needs sleep anyways? This book has it all: action, mystery, romance, and humor. Traci has done it again and if you haven't read this series, I highly recommend you give them a read!

Cas is a Ghost. 4 years ago she died and it needs to stay that way or else whoever tried to kill her the first time might try again. But with her family in town and a bombing, she must do what she can to help. Donovan, another fellow Ghost, is called into help Cas solve all the chaos before it is too late.

This romantic thriller is the sixth in the Guardian series by Traci Hunter Abramsom. I’m a fan of the author's and have read most of the books in her several series. The guardian’s are US intelligence people (think elite CIA) deployed around the world. Cassidy Edgemont has officially been living as a ghost for four years currently stationed in Paris. Her family believes she died in a car crash. She has remained dead to them to protect them and to find out who wanted her dead for going to the FBI with information about the Coalition. After a bombing in Paris she recognizes the work of the Coalition. Her cover is also partially blown and fellow guardian Donovan comes to help her get to a new safe house.

Abramson uses her experience working with the CIA to help inspire her plots. You do have to suspend belief at how quickly everyone can hack into any computer and security system, but that is a minor issue. I’ve found some books in the series spend too much time spent looking at computers for information. This adventure is better at balancing that with action and imminent threats. I appreciate that the main characters are black adding diversity to the series.

I thought this adventure was very exciting. The romance in this one felt very believable and coming from time spent together even if it is brief. The writing is clean for language and intimacy. There is some kissing and PG13 violence. This can be read as a stand alone but some of the operatives that help have been MCs in previous books. Thank you to NetGalley and Covenant Communications for an eARC in exchange for an honest review. (4.5 stars)

There are so many parts of this book that had me on the edge of my seat, literally. The characters are likable, and as always I wanted it to keep going! How long until the next one?!
