Unfortunately I just couldn't get into this book. It all felt a little clichéd to me and I just didn't find myself invested in the characters. Will try again another time but at the time of reading, it wasn't for me.

I really enjoy Sue Moorcrofts books, her writing style means the reader becomes immersed in the story. This book was one of my favourites ( so far) . Back in Middledip, with new and old characters. This was Sky and Daz’s story
A warm fuzzy read with loveable characters , both new and revisited . The perfect Christmas read , Highly recommended

Not just a warm and festive read as there are complexities and difficult characters. I found the people organising the Christmas light competition loathsome, not even giving Sky a chance to unpack her bags before getting on her case about decorating her house-although I can well believe that you do get people like this who throw themselves into something that is important to them and the community and they apply as much pressure as they can to achieve the desired outcome.

There were layers of reasons that Sky was a conflicted character and why she finds it difficult to love and trust people, she is used to relying on herself and not letting others in so she finds her new community a challenge and has to really take a leap out of her comfort zone to embrace the new life she has curated for herself.

It’s not Christmas without a Sue Moorcroft book!

Sky returns to Middledip after losing her beloved job, hoping for a quiet Christmas, but she gets sucked into village life preparing for the annual street decoration competition, along with a very attractive Daz!
Life never runs smoothly so expect many knocks, a few shocks and some surprises along the way.
I felt so Christmassy reading this with a hot chocolate wrapped in a blanket, transported to a snowy, brightly lit, festive Middledip.

Set aside lots of time for this one as you won’t want to put it down.
Once you are stuck in you will fall in love with the characters and want to know what’s going to happen for them all.
A lovely, wintery, feel good book, well written and characters well developed.
I would definitely recommend it and would read more from this author.

A White Christmas on Winter Street is the latest sparkling and magical new novel from best-selling author Sue Moorcroft.

Sky Terran has had a rough couple of months. Losing the job she loved had left her with no other choice but to pack her bags and go back to the village of Middledip where she is anticipating a quiet Christmas getting to grips with her new life. However, little does Sky realise that Middledip is no ordinary village, but rather a place where dreams can come true – as she discovers when she is pulled into the preparations for the annual street decoration competition. The residents of Winter Street are all determined to win this year’s competition and Sky quickly finds herself lending a hand. Pretty soon, she begins to feel a part of this tight-knit community. Could Sky find everything she had been looking for in Middledip? And will this Christmas be the one where she will find the happiness that has eluded her for so long – thanks to her handsome neighbour, Daz?

For the first time in a long while, everything seems to be going Sky’s way – until Daz’s ex turns up and truly ends up putting the cat among the pigeons! With his ex determined to win Daz back, some shocking truths come to life that make Sky wonder how well she truly knows the man she has fallen in love with. Having been hurt once before, is Sky ready to give romance another try? Will she trust Daz with her heart? Or will she let her fears get in the way of her happy ending on Winter Street?

Sue Moorcroft’s books never disappoint and she has written another stellar page-turner with A White Christmas on Winter Street. Perfect for curling up with on a cold and grey afternoon, this uplifting, warm-hearted and feel-good tale hits all the right spots with plenty of Yuletide charm, community spirit and tender romance that will keep readers gripped throughout.

A spellbinding tale of second chances, starting over and falling in love, A White Christmas on Winter Street is another surefire hit by Sue Moorcroft.

Sky didn’t have the best start in life so when things change unexpectedly it tilts her world on its axis, forcing her to change and work out what to do next. What she does makes perfect sense and I’m not giving away spoilers by saying she moves to a new home. I loved the home, the descriptions of the building and the rooms inside made it sound like the perfectplace to live.

The village Sky moves to sounds lovely as well. It comes across as really welcoming and with such a sense of community, particularly on Winter Street itself, where she lives. The street decoration competition is important to the Winter Street residents and getting the outside of the house ready for it gives Sky the opportunity to get to know more of her neighbours and clearly shows the community feeling that exists.

There’s a lot going on in the part of the book that I’ve reached. There are questions to be answered about some of the characters and there’s obviously the street decoration competition results to come as well but this is a book that so far is warm and cosy and uplifting. It shows that even the smallest amount of kindness can make sure a difference to people and, although change is scary it can also be something positive if you’re willing to take the chance.

An enjoyable Christmas read. Some lovely characters, and just a little bit different from your average Christmas romance. Bit of a slow start, but once I got into it I loved it.

Middledip is just the sort of place we all dream of living in at Christmas and where Sky moves to just in time for the annual Christmas decoration competition. A feel good story which is perfect for curling up on dark, cold winter nights to read and enjoy! Perfect

I always look forward to a new addition to the Middledip series and this, as expected was worth the wait! Sue Moorcroft can always be relied on to give you a potent mixture of thought provoking, happy ending and an angle that's a little bit different. Can be read as a brilliant standalone Christmas read or a fine addition to the series. Highly recommend.

I've read and loved many of Sue's summer reads but this is the first of her Christmas stories for me. You can't beat the setting, a traditional English village with a huge community spirit and I really enjoyed getting to know many of its residents as Sky Terran moves into the village. We get to know about her troubled past that has made her the way she is, as she gradually opens up to, and returns, the friendship of others.

Overall this is a classic feelgood Christmas novel but at times it felt seriously contrived. The Abi storyline didn't work for me and the resolution, out of character. Similarly the misunderstanding dragged on way too long and I felt the inner thoughts of both of them were repeated in an almost cut and paste style, over and over and over again, only to be resolved with an implausible excuse. It also felt a little too worthy at times when discussing the house and the eventual decision on what to do with it.

A great start, an OK middle and a bittersweet ending with much left unresolved.

This Christmas romance tackles some tough issues such as alcoholism, foster care and the families of those in prison to name but a few. In addition to those issues the story develops with a few twists and turns for the main characters that live in Winter Street.

I really enjoyed this Christmas offering from Sue Moorcroft and recommend it to you without hesitation.
