This was my first book by this author. This was a really good thriller! Sarah is the ex-wife who is in rehab after an emotional breakdown. During her bad time, she pushed her husband away. He has since remarried Charlotte and she has become the perfect step mother. Sarah gets out of rehab and is trying to get her life back on track but strange things start happening. Is she regressing? Or is someone trying to sabotage her? I was quickly pulled into the story. At times I was routing for Charlotte and at other times I was routing for Sarah. The middle of the story got a bit slow and I thought I knew how it was going to turn out, but I was surprised by the ending.

Newly married Charlotte loves her husband Gideon and her new step daughter Emily what she doesn’t love his Gideon‘s ex-wife Sarah who is battling severe depression and some obvious mental issues. How far will Charlotte go to save her marriage? How far will Sarah go to prove that she’s not crazy? Who does Gideon really love? All in all this is truly a great book. The characters had me both loving them at times and irritated with them the next. Gideon was truly stuck in the middle. It wasn’t as fast paste as I would like for it to have been but I did enjoy the twist to the ending! I knew something was up but the author still managed to surprise me in the end!

Nicole Trope’s His Other Wife is an utterly fantastic domestic thriller. After a number of tragedies, unable to deal with her reality, Sarah suffered a breakdown. She pushed her husband Gideon away, clinging only to her young daughter Emily. But it wasn’t long until she began to lose grip on reality and Gideon convinced her to seek help.

Now months later, she is ready to rejoin society, and more importantly to once again have her beloved daughter in her life. And while Gideon has seemed to have moved on and has even remarried, he believes in Sarah and her right to be a part of their daughter’s life.

Charlotte, Gideon’s new wife, isn’t quite as convinced that Sarah is ready, nor is she thrilled with the idea of now having to share Emily’s attention.

His Other Wife is a gripping and intense domestic thriller with a excellently flesh out cast of character and twisting plot that kept me flipping pages from start to finish.

Wow I have found a new to me exciting, gripping author!!!!!! Nicole Trope doesn't write books, she writes thrilling, gripping masterpieces that you have to race through to find out what happens!!!!!!

Nicole Trope has a way of pulling you into a story slowly, getting you to really know the characters, almost choosing sides, lulling you into a false sense of security, of thinking you know what's going on and then, BAM, hits you out of nowhere and makes you question everything! This was an engrossing story; I didn't want to put it down until the unexpected, satisfying conclusion.

I received an ARC of this book from Bookouture via NetGalley in exchange for my honest feedback. This was a good one! Thrillers are my favorite genre, so I am always impressed if the twists take me by surprise. These definitely did - I did not guess any of them. The characters were believable and well-developed, though I did want to slap Gideon a few times for putting up with certain things. I kept racing to finish. Nicole Trope is definitely now an author I will seek out.

This story took a little bit to really get into. A man, an ex wife, a new wife and a battle over a child which turns bad. The mother struggled with mental issues and the man was always trying to be the hero for her and his daughter. Parts became a little predictable but the story was still good.

Pub date: June 21/22

Thank you @bookouture, @nicoletropeauthor and @netgally for this eARC in exchange for an honest review. I have never read a novel by Nicole Trope and this was a great introduction!

The beginning of this novel had me questioning much of what was going on. It was ominous for sure and it really set the tone for what was to come.
I found this to be quick read for me and some of the plot lines were for sure predictable. With that said, I could feel the tension between Gideon, Charlotte, and Sarah, which kept me intrigued enough to continue the story until the last page. An enjoyable thriller for me!

This novel is now available for purchase.

This was a quick paced psychological thriller that continually kept me guessing.

Sarah and Gideon are now divorced, with Gideon having full custody of their daughter, Emily. Sarah and Gideon lost a baby to miscarriage, which caused her to have hallucinations and a breakdown that sent her to an institution for help. Once out she hopes to spend more time with her daughter, eventually hoping for shared custody. Gideon is all for that, but his new wife, Charlotte is not happy. Gideon has always been clear on two things with Charlotte: 1; He does not want anymore children and 2: Sarah will always be a part of their lives because of Emily. Charlotte hopes he'll change his mind on both of these things.

Lots of twists and turns, a few a little unrealistic and a few fairly predictable but fun none-the-less. Definitely recommend for those looking for a quick and easy read with a little mystery!

A fast-paced thriller from the pen of one of my go-to authors, Nicole Trope (I've now read seven of her books) about Sarah, the ex-wife, Charlotte, the new wife, and Gideon, the husband, caught between them. With a number of twists and turns along the way, this is compelling, taut and entertaining. Very highly recommended and an ideal companion for a rainy afternoon.

I received a complimentary copy of this novel at my request from Bookouture via NetGalley. This review is my own unbiased opinion.

This was a great book with a twist at the end. I enjoyed the characters and drew me in from the beginning. I could relate to both wives! And felt sorry for each of them. Look forward to more by this author!

I was lucky to receive an advance copy of His Other Wife by Nicole Trope from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review and opinion. Let's just start off by saying that his book starts off with a huge bang and will not let you put it down. Holy heck! You will be drawn in and unable to complete any tasks around the house until you finish the entire book! Loved every second of it and was sad to finish it!

My first novel by this author, thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture. I will be reading more. Gideon and Sarah had a young daughter Emily. After their divorce, Gideon married Charlotte. Sadly, is still in love with Sarah, but her mental health required more than he could give, as Sarah pushed him out of their marriage.
Charlotte wants all of his attention, and is jealous of the attention Gideon gives to his ex-wife. He wants the best care for Sarah. Charlotte does not want more children, and wants to raise Emily. What a twisty story, which will make me coming back for more by Trope.

I flew through this book needing to know what was happening. It was a fun, quick and twisty read. I wish it had been a bit longer because the ending felt rushed to me, but it was a fun read. ⭐⭐⭐

This is my third book by the author and definitely the worst of the bunch; the premise was good, it just wasn't executed very well.

None of the characters were likeable in the slightest, which left me not caring one happened to any of them. I absolutely hated the characters of Gideon and Sarah, who ended up involving everyone in their drama (Charlotte was a bit mental but no wonder when you have a husband that doesn't exactly care about you).

The storyline felt like it was all over the place, which got confusing at times. It was billed as having a jawdropping twist and am yet to see it as any "twists" were all rather generic and predictable.

Most disappointing.

*Thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and Nicole Trope for the copy of this book. All views are my own.*

High 4 stars. There was a lot going on in this story and I fell right into the plot. It was suspenseful with a twist. I was moved by Sarah and her struggles with mental illness. The story worked well for me and because I could relate. The child in the story had me on the edge of my seat. Very entertaining and I highly recommend it.

As usual, this author never disappoints, and this book is no exception! Sarah and Gideon have a daughter, Emily, who is five years old. In the wake of their divorce and Gideon's remarriage, Sarah tries to get her life together, if for no other reason than the sake of her daughter. Is Sarah becoming delusional, or is someone attempting to make her appear to be an unfit mother by making weird things happen? You won't want to put this book down. My heart was racing throughout the book! A superb page-turner.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with this arc in exchange for an honest review.

His Other Wife - Nicole Trope

4🌟

I loved this Authors last book 'The Family Across the Street' so I was so excited to get approved an ARC of Nicole's latest book and couldn't wait to get stuck in.

Thanks a million to Netgalley, bookouture and Nicole Trope for the opportunity to read this one in exchange for an honest review.

It did not disappoint.

A grippy thriller and I was hooked from the very first page.

I read it in one sitting as I just couldn't put it down- I'd tell myself just one more chapter but who was I kidding, there was no way I could stop myself reading until I finished it.

The characters are so well developed and you really felt like you were stepping into their lives.
It's obvious throughout that things are not as they seem but I honestly had no clue how it was going to go and the ending was a total shocker to me.

This was a super fast, easy read, with short quick chapters and one I would defo recommend if you're into the thriller genre and enjoy a twisty read full of suspense and family drama.

Nicole Trope just doesn't disappoint.
A hugely enjoyable read.

I'll be waiting patiently for her next one.
Definitely an author to look out for.

Thanks again to Netgalley and Bookouture.

4 easy Stars from me 🌟
