Thank you Netgalley and publishers for this Arc.

This was a sweet story. About a little pig trying to find the best way to bathe himself because he had gotten himself so dirty. Along the way, he goes about trying other animals methods of bathing. What I like about the story is that you can teach children how animals bathe and how they differ from one another. I did think think it was a little work too wordy for the age group. I used to work with children for many years. They tend to get bored if it's too long. I think it would make an excellent board book for toddlers if the length of writing was shortened. Overall it's a good book for children. I really enjoyed the illustrations I thought they were perfect for the story.

An adorable muddy litte piglet is on his way home eager to have a bath to make himself shiny and clean after playing outside all day. On his journey back he encounters a variety of animals who invite him to take a bath their way. A cat tells him to lick and groom himself clean just like cats do, a magpie explains that he gets clean by having ants crawl all over him and a donkey rolls around in the sand and takes a dirt bath - none of these ideas appeal to pig and politely declines their offers.

He continues homeward and is greeting by his loving mom who knows exactly how to get her sweet piglet sparkling clean and experience happiness while doing so. Can you guess how?

The illustrations are spot on with the text. They are colourful, sweet and kid-friendly. This is a wonderful introduction to teach little ones how different animals bathe themselves and promote good hygiene. Young animal lovers will like this book I'm sure. This is a perfect tale to share before or after bath time... or anytime for that matter. I highly recommend "Time for a Bath".

Little Pig, Little Pig...PEE-YEW! What have you been DOING all day?

The day is ending and Little Pig needs to get home and get clean. All along the way home, he meets animal friends, who are also getting clean, but none in a way Little Pig likes. A cold pond, rolling in dust, licking themselves, ANTS? No thanks!

Full color and great detail from corner to corner, love to see it! Most of the animals are drawn fairly lifelike for a cartoon, minus Little Pig and his mother, who are more round, cute cartoon pigs, instead of looking like anything from a farm. A good choice, honestly.

The text might be a little small in the advanced copy I got, but there's not too much of it to get lost in. And, even then, the designer did a good job smoothing out the background behind the words, so they don't get jumbled up by the artwork.

The book comes with two connect-the-dot images (numbers, up to 28), to give your child a little extra something to do.

Advance copy provided by the publisher.

A very cute and quick story about a little piggie who needs a bath.
He meets other animal friends and learns how they get clean.
He tries a few of their methods but he is still dirty.

When he gets home his mom has the correct way to get him feeling and looking clean again.

The illustrations were super cute, and it's a nice way for little children to learn about how different animals clean themselves.

Pig really needs a bath, and all her friends have ideas on how to get clean!

This is an adorable book. Pig tries out many baths, from ponds to dust to sun along her path to get home. My 6 year old loved the illustrations and we even learned a little about how different animals get clean!

This was a cute read. My daughters and I really loved the illustrations.

I liked the idea of how Little Pig is introduced to different ways different animals take a bath. And although they bathed different than he did, it didn't mean they were wrong, it just wasn't what he needed in a bath.

What a surprise to find a draw-by-numbers of the character in the book. Fun and creative story.
On his way home, Little Pig meets different animals in their different ritual of taking a bath. Some use water, others sand, others... Until he gets home to "his" kind of bath. The best in the world.
Note: I want to live in the carrot house. I love the style of the artwork.

Kids will love this book for the cute illustrations and relatable animals while parents will love it for the important lessons! Many kids struggle with bathtime, and this book does a great job of showing why it's nothing to be afraid of. Thank you, NetGalley, for the free ARC.

This is a super cute book! I liked how it talks about all the different ways animals get clean in nature, I even learned some new ones myself! Also, a great book to help kids understand the necessity of bathing and get open to the idea. The connect-the-dots at the front and back were a nice touch too.

A bath-time book for ages 4yrs and up. It’s a cute, beautifully illustrated tale about a piglet wandering home all dirty. He meets lots of animal friends who want to take a bath with him. Cute story with cute animals and lots of things to take in. The last page has a connect the dots. I loved doing that those as a child.

A cute, little picture book about a pig trying to find a way to get clean after playing all day. He meets a variety of different animals on his way home from cats to magpies and they all try to teach him how they clean themselves. None of these ways work for little pig, however. It's an educational read and kids will definitely learn about different animals with this fun, light story!

Of use, I am sure, to a parent whose youngster doesn't want to get in the tub, and to point out the differences amongst us all, this concerns a little pig who has been playing in the mud all day and can't get clean, no matter what any other kind of creature suggests. He can't lick his behind like the cat, he can't stand the dust a donkey or horse might stir up – he even finds a lizard's sunbath inappropriate, as it makes him sweat, which is a first as pig's don't. The happy ending (spoiler, I know, but this is for under-sevens), also has the moral that there is always a right way to do things, and we don't need to faff about trying to fit in with other people's ideas of what is correct for us and what isn't. I guess such a conservative take on the book is optional, and some people won't like it, but the joy of the pig getting himself cleaned up as all little piggies should is nicely done, with a sterling craft to the double-page spreads the artwork gives us. Oh, and when the endpapers are a join-the-dots design, for sure librarians will tear their hair out but it's a nice surprise to see, in a book that has the qualities to make it worth the purchase. Just don't drop it into the bath, mind.

Cute! The illustrations are adorable and there are so many fun things for a child to point out on the pages, the text was educational listing how every animal that Pig came across bathed. My toddler will enjoy this book.

Little Pig needs a bath after playing all day. On the way home he encounters animals that wash themselves all different ways. He tries his hardest to get clean, but their ways just aren't best for him. By the time he gets home, his mom knows exactly what he needs.
This book is such a cute story! I love the traditional aspect of the main character traveling down a road meeting different friends along the way. These types of stories also capture my toddler's attention, especially with the wide variety of animals that are depicted. It also presents a funny way to connect and talk about how animals take baths. This book has a perfect amount of silliness and I personally love how the mom takes care of Little Pig at the end. The illustrations are beautiful and clear. I would definitely read this before bathtime!

Thank you to NetGalley and Clavis Publishing for my ARC of this adorable book.

Bath time can be a nightmare or a dream. This sweet picture book on Little Pig playing outside and needing a bath. Coming home, he meets many of his animal friends who know what works for them on taking a bath. This is funny look how each animal takes a bath and why it doesn't work for Little Pig. There is so much to engage your child with that you both will enjoy reading and possibly taking a bath.

A special thank you to Clavis Publishing and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to post an honest review.

Delightful tale about taking a bath- poor Little Pig just wants to get clean! Along the way home, he encounters many of his animal friends who show him how they clean themselves, and suggest he try it too! Kudos to Little Pig, he does try and try SO HARD but the ways in which the other animals bathe just won't work for him. Sadly, he does get discouraged by the time he reaches home and is in little piggy tears until Momma Pig shows him the bath she ran for him- it is JUST RIGHT!!

So cute, so fun and awesome for learning about other animals, where they live and how they clean themselves. the illustrations were vibrant and fun and would totally catch the eye of your little listener- along with a fun game of playing I-Spy on each page to learn other words! Lots of opportunity for learning, fun, and laughter in this tiny tale!

An delightful book about a dirty little piggy and him finding out all the ways other animals bathe themselves. Educational and adorable.

I received an ARC of this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book is adorable. All of the animals are trying to help little pig take a bath, but none of them are quite right. I had no idea that having ants crawl all over you could be a good thing for anybody. The illustrations are perfect for the story.

This is a cute book. My son is still young and about 3/4 of the way through he wasn’t entertained by it anymore. He wanted to read a different book. Usually he loves animals so I think it was just a little slow and didn’t keep his focus.
