Note: This is probably one of the most stunning covers I've seen. I can't wait to buy a physical copy of this!

This was the type of queer memoir I didn't realize I needed. I'm not usually a memoir reader but the way that Sabrina Imbler combines science and their own life experience was fascinating. Some of the marine animals that were featured in the book were familiar but some were completely new to me. Imbler interweaves the narrative of these marine creatures with growing up, their exploration in the LGBTQIA+ community, and their own Asian heritage and culture. I highly recommend this book and am so glad I was able to read it during Pride month. I would love to read more from this author and follow their work in the future.
