Cherie Priest's mysteries for me always get me out of reading slumps - they're just cozy enough to keep me from going to bed with nightmares, but still have enough thrills to keep me intrigued. This installment was a bit less mysterious than the previous, but Leda still got into some psychic pshenanigans. (Can I just put P's in front of all of the S words or is that a Ben move?). Flight Risk was full of action, banter, and Cairo, literally the ABCs! The only fault here was just that the overarching plots were predictable, but I still can't wait to read the next one.
*Thank you to Atria Books and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review*

I received this ARC from the Netgalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. This is the second in a series by Priest. I read the first book in the series and couldn’t wait for the second one to come out. I wasn’t disappointed with this latest installment of the Booking Agent Series. I really enjoyed how Priest has built her characters and how down to earth Leda Foley is even though she is psychic.
Leda Foley has been asked by the brother and son of a missing woman to find her. Leda tells them that she can’t guarantee anything but that she would try to find her.
Meanwhile the Seattle PD Detective Grady Merritt is looking for his dog and when he finds him, he has a human leg in his mouth. Grady finds the identity of the person is actually the husband of the missing person Leda is looking for.
They decide to work together on this case and follow some of the leads that Leda has seen through the items that she has touched and what Grady has found out.
Do Leda and Grady find the missing woman? Can they find out who killed the husband?

This is a hilarious ride but also a well developed mystery. I enjoyed this even more than Grave Reservations.

The second adventure between a psychic and Seattle detective is just as delightful as the first. I loved getting to spend more time with Leda, Grady and their friends. Grady's dog is lost and when he finally shows up, it's with a human leg in his mouth. Little does he know that Mr Leg is connected to a missing person case that Leda has just taken on. Follow along on their investigation and enjoy the ride!

It was so fun to return to this series by Cherie Priest!!
When I first read Grave Reservations, the first book in the Booking Agents series, it wasn't entirely clear if it was going to be a standalone, or the first in the new series. I am so excited Priest decided to continue this cozy mystery series.
Flight Risk pretty much picks up where Grave Reservations ends, give or take a few months. While originally investigating their own separate crimes Grady and Leda are back on the case together to solves the disappearances and possible murders of a husband and wife. This sequel didn't pack quite the same punch as the first installment in the series but I had a lot of fun regardless!
Grady's dynamic with Leda and Nicky is just as enjoyable and their banter is just as funny. It was great to explore Leda's psychic abilities more. This book lacked some of the small tension and chemistry between Grady and Leda that I felt the first book had so I am still curious is a romance is being explored there as is common in most cozy mystery dynamics. I wish we got a little more resolution when it came to why the wife was missing and how her family responded in the end, but the mystery was still good.
I think this technically could be read as a standalone but was much more enjoyable having read the first book. I would easily recommend this to anyone seeking a cozy mystery and can't wait for more in the series.

Flight Risk was a fun read but I definitely preferred the first book in this series. If there is a third book, I will definitely read it.
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for this arc ebook in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for the ARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, but reads okay as a stand alone. There was a smidge of confusion but it cleared up quickly. I liked the book, and found it interesting how the two cases overlapped. Truly enjoyable read, surprise ending for me. Nice cozy mystery. 4 stars

The second entry in the author's delightful Booking Agents series continues the story of psychic travel agent Leda and Seattle PD detective Grady, who sometimes work together on a case.
Leda is building her one-woman travel business and is still performing at a nightclub as the Psychic Psongstress (she prefers to call the act Klairvoyant Karaoke). But because of some publicity resulting from her earlier collaboration with Grady, a potential client asks Leda to use her psychic abilities to help locate his missing sister, who disappeared with a bag of money belonging to her employer. Coincidentally, Grady is investigating the identity of a human leg unearthed by his dog--could it belong to the same woman's husband, a college professor who has an affair with a different student each year? Time for Leda and Grady to again join forces to find the couple . . . or their remains.
The mystery isn't really the reason to enjoy this book, although it builds well and there are multiple suspects. it's the wonderful, likable personalities of the two protagonists, in addition to supporting characters such as Leda's often-outrageous best friend, Leda's flamboyant mentor on all things psychic, the nightclub's eccentric owner, Grady's first-time-dad colleague on the police force, and Grady's teenage daughter. And it's the author's light, breezy touch with dialogue and humor. I look forward to the next collaboration between these engaging characters.
My thanks to NetGalley and Atria Books for the opportunity to read and provide an honest review of this book.

Priest (Grave Reservations) is back with book two of the Booking Agent Series, where psychic travel agent, Leda Foley, is back to solve another mystery (or two). When she is asked to help a man find his missing sister, Leda jumps at the chance to use her (sometimes inconsistent) psychic abilities on a paying gig. The man’s sister was last seen leaving in a vintage orange car with a large amount of cash from her landscaping clients. He believes the police are not doing enough because of the well-known fact of her philandering husband and their shaky marriage.
In the meantime, Grady Merritt, Seattle PD, has inadvertently become involved in a case that involves body parts. Most notably, a leg, which was retrieved from the mouth of his dog, Cairo. After DNA tests reveal “Mr. Leg” belongs to Leda’s missing woman’s husband, both of the cases become entangled, and the unlikely duo set out to decipher the clues.
VERDICT: This lighthearted mystery with its travel agent/psychic and her sometimes, unofficial partner Grady Merritt is a good choice for cozy mystery lovers, animal lovers, and fans of Priest. Recommended.

3.5/5 Stars
Flight Risk by Cherie Priest is the second in a series about psychic travel agent Leda Foley. Let me start out by saying how much I love this cover! It really caught my eye. I was so excited to be granted an ARC of this book because I was hoping for a little romance between Leda and detective Grady.
The main characters are just a quirky and engaging as in the first book, Grave Reservations. Grady’s missing dog is found in Mt. Rainier National Park with a human leg in its mouth. Coincidences between the search for that body and a missing person case for Leda cause them to team up again to solve this mystery. The story moved a little slower to me this time, but it was still an enjoyable read.
Thanks to Atria Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. #netgalley #flightrisk #cozymystery

I loved Flight risk by Cherie Priest! The originality and absurdity of a physic travel agent and physic karaoke really gets me! This is the second book in the series and I loved it as a follow up to the first. You could read them out of order, however I'd recommend starting with book one. Leda Foley is a fun young protagonist and this book was pure joy to read and watch the mysteries unfold!

“Flight Risk” by Cherie Priest is the second book in a series which I have never read, but the cover and blurb sounded interesting. This was an light an entertaining read, a perfect book for the beach or a long flight. Recommended! Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC!

This was my first book by this author. I really enjoyed the story and the characters. The story was interesting! Hope to read more by this author soon!

I was so excited to get this galley! And I wasn’t disappointed. While I liked the first more, it was a bit more engaging and faster paced, I really enjoyed this one too! I mean how can’t you when a big fluffy good boy opens the novel by bringing an arm to one of our main characters?! Overall a solid 4.5 for me.

Thank you Netgalley for this ARC for an exchange for an honest review.
Excellent book, highly recommend it.

My thanks to NetGalley for making an eARC of this book available to me.
A fun little read, this continues the story of our psychic travel agent who occasionally helps the Seattle police department. The book is told from two point of view (psychic Leda and detective Grady), using alternating chapters. While I'm still seeing the possibility for romance, it unfortunately doesn't really get any boost in this book. So, I guess we'll just have to look for more books in this series. Here's hoping!

“Flight Risk” a second in a series by Cherie Priest. I had never come across any books by this author but the cover caught my eye and the description sounded like a funny lighthearted read. I did not read the first in the series when I started this book, so this was a first intro to these characters for me. The book was fun, quick, and quirky. Worth a read.
When psychic travel agent Leda Foley is approached by a man searching for his sister, she quickly agrees to help. The missing woman disappeared with a vintage orange car, a fat sack of her employer’s cash, and a grudge against her philandering husband—a man who never even reported her missing.
