A psychic and a detective working together to solve a missing persons case...what could go wrong? In this humorous novel, you'll find your self laughing at the ridicuous events that happen!

I was so excited to recieve an advanced copy of this book after thoroughly enjoying the first (Grave Reservations). Like in the first book, Leda is a psychic who will get random flashes of information and works with Detective Grady Merritt. I love the dynamic between the characters and the quirky plot twists. Although, Grave Reservations was my favorite, I will definitely continue reading this author's work and cannot wait for the next installment. Much thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review.

I really enjoyed Flight Risk. I think I liked it more than Grave Reservations. It did require some suspense of normal beliefs about policing, but it wouldn't be a cozy mystery if it didn't! I love Leda and Grady together and I can't wait to see more of it in the future. I do wish I would have gotten more resolution at the end, it seemed anti-climatic as we neared the construction site.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book!

3.5 rounded to 4. After Grady's dog goes missing in Mount Rainier National Park, the mystery of "Mr. Leg" unfolds when the dog is discovered a few days later with a human leg in his teeth. The brother of a lady who has been missing for a month comes to Leda's travel agency seeking help after she disappeared with her employer's money and was only reported missing two weeks ago. Because of the connection they made, Grady and Leda are back to working together to solve these crimes. Fun! This cozy mystery is endearing precisely because of how silly it is. Like some of my other favorite female fictional characters—Lydia is a bit eccentric. I enjoy watching her to see what her psychic powers tell her since she is honest, feisty, compassionate, funny, and resourceful. Good difficulties can be expected from Leda and her even less censored friend Niki. Grady and Leda are a good match since they balance each other out. He's the practical, follow-the-rules kind, whereas she's more of a free spirit. The tension and release of their friendship never ceases to be intriguing. That they haven't been glamorized by the author is something I really appreciate. Refreshing! I love Dogs. Cairo and another detective's scent-sniffing dog T-Rex won my heart. A lot of what happened in this book didn't impress me as much as what happened in the last book, and it took a while for Leda's psychic abilities to really kick in, but these characters are so endearing that I still loved the book. I can't give up hope of a TV show! I can't wait for book three because this is a great series for anyone who enjoy hilarious, lighthearted cozy mysteries.
Thanks to Atria Books, NetGalley and author Cherie Priest for this ARC to honestly review.

Another fun, fast paced, and quirky murder mystery by Cherie Priest. Already looking forward to the next book in the series because I really enjoyed hanging out with these fun characters.

If you are looking for a light, fun read, Flight Risk will be the perfect read for you! The second installment of this series is as delightful as the first. Leda and Greg are an enjoyable pair, and I love that there is no romantic interest in their relationship. The case of supporting characters are bright and colorful and give the story a fun flair. Leda's inconsistent psychic abilities always move the plot along, and it has great cozy mystery vibes.

I adored book 1 in Cherie Priest’s The Booking Agents (Grave Reservations) so I was delighted when I got my hands on book 2, Flight Risk.
“Inconsistent psychic Leda Foley and Seattle detective Grady Merritt return to solve the case of a missing couple in this sequel to the “delightful” (The New York Times Book Review) mystery Grave Reservations.”
There is so much to enjoy in book 2 and this series–Leda is so funny and I love Grady and his relationship with his teenage daughter. I love the idea of an inconsistent psychic, it makes me giggle just thinking about it. This one took me a bit longer to get into and I’ll say that I wish there was more Leda in book 2. She felt more like a side-character in the plot and since she’s my favorite, I wanted more.
Looking forward to book 3.

I really hope that Cherie Priest never stops writing this series because I NEVER want to leave Leda and Grady's world! In this second installment to The Booking Agents series, they start out on two seemingly separate cases, but of course, that doesn't last for long and they are once again working together. It was all of the fun of the last book with even more silliness and the audiobook picked up a male narrator for Grady which may have been my favorite part. Thankfully, Ulka Simone Mohanty was still the narrator for Leda, but unlike the audiobook for Grave Reservations, Flight Risk introduced Timothy Andrés Pabon as the narrator for Grady. Although he didn't sound as old as I would assume Grady would, I loved having him for those viewpoints and I would not mind if he came back in future books (please don't be the end after 2 books!).
I keep thinking that Leda and Grady may end up having a bit of romance, but if that is going to happen at any time, it definitely didn't happen here. They have a wonderful platonic relationship and I loved how it played out more in this book. Grave Reservations picked up about a year after the first book left off, and while we did get less of Leda’s psychic-singing, we got a bit more of a procedural feel thanks to her and Grady almost constantly searching for clues. The mystery isn’t too heavy, and this does read a bit like a cozy with plenty of wit and humor. You don’t have to read these books in order (so far), but I would still recommend doing so if only so you don’t miss out on where things started with Grady and other great character relationships. This is an easy, breezy book full of banter and if you want something to read for pure enjoyment, you won’t want to miss out!

Flight Risk

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/4 stars
Husband and wife, Paul and Robin Reddick, are both missing but have disappeared on different days and under completely different circumstances. Psychic, Leda Foley and Seattle PD detective, Grady Merritt, are on the case.
First up, a leg is found while Grady and his daughter, are hiking with their dog in a Mt Rainer park. The dog was lost and reappeared with said leg in his mouth. This is how Grady first initially gets in on the investigation into the missing couple. DNA proves that this is Paul Reddick's limb.
Both Grady and Leda will have to use their specific talents to figure out the who and why surrounding the Reddick's last days. And when I say talents, I'm referring to a little, "woowoo." But you gotta read the book to figure out what that means! This book was a little out there and unconventional but it was very funny as well!

Thank you @netgalley and @atriabooks for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion!

This is book 2 of a cozy mystery series - Leda Foley of Foley's Far Fetched Flights of Fancy is an endearing psychic who runs a travel agency and teams up to solve cases with a detective whose life she saved in the previous book.
I like the colorful cover and the dialogue is amusing at first, but is a little giddy and gets annoying after a while.
I think the endless silly banter stalls the plot. At 320 pages, it could be a better read at 220 pages.

Thank you Simon Audio for the gifted audiobook.
Physic travel agent Leda Foley is still getting used to taking on clients who want her to solve their mysteries, the latest being a man wanting to find his missing sister. Seattle PD Detective Grady Merritt wants to find his lost dog, and gets more than he bargained for when his dog shows up carrying a severed leg. Thanks to DNA matching, Grady and Leda find out their cases overlap and they can hopefully work together to find out the mystery behind this missing husband and wife duo.
This series combines humor and whimsy with mystery and some light paranormal activity and all that together makes for an enjoyable read. Full of colorful characters and quirky situations, this series is just getting off the ground and I can't wait to see what is to come.

This is the second in The Booking Agents series, both set in the Seattle area.
It was a super fun read about a psychic, Leda Foley, who is helping Seattle detective Grady Merritt to solve a missing persons case. They step on each other's toes sometimes, but more often than not their skills and uncovered information complemented each other and moved them further toward solving the mystery.
The mystery starts when Leda Foley is approached by a man looking for his sister. You see, Leda works as a travel agent, but has been making a bit of a name for herself for being able to locate people. The man's sister disappeared with a bag of her employer's money but everyone agrees that it's totally out of character for her.
Next, Grady Merritt is looking for his dog in Mt Rainier National Park when the pooch shows up with a human leg in his mouth. Soon the two seemingly-unrelated cases start to mingle and Grady and Leda team up.
Both main characters were quite cute, and I also enjoyed all the side characters too. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more from this author. So if you're in the mood for a cozy mystery, definitely check this one out.

I had hoped to like this book. I have been enjoying suspense books a lot as of late. Sadly, Flight Risk didn't keep my attention. It was all a little too slow for me. I had to add this book to my DNF list. I do hope that others will enjoy and love this book. It just was not for me.

I thought Grave Reservations was such a fun premise - a psychic travel agent working to solve crimes is just so intriguing. So I was very excited for Leda and Grady to team up again in the second book of the series!
While the mystery in this was a little less intense than the first one, it was still fun to see Leda and Grady figure out the mysterious disappearances and how the two cases they were working on ended up being connected. I love a mischievous dog, so that addition was a fun bonus. Overall, this was another fun read and I’m excited to see what comes next in the series!
Thanks to Atria Books for the gifted copy!

Since her success in helping to solve a murder case in Grave Reservations, people have reached out to Leda to find their missing objects and pets, but now she's being asked to find a missing person. The missing woman's brother is desperate to find her. Leda warns her client her psychic abilities are inconsistent and do not always lead to results, but they both agree she will give it a try.
Meanwhile, detective Grady and his teenage daughter come across an unexpected discovery while searching for their runaway dog, Cairo, in Mount Rainier National Park. They find him, alright--carrying a detached human leg in his mouth. Through some luck, a DNA match comes back fairly quickly, and Grady has a lead. Although, nothing proves to be quite that easy. Where is the rest of the body? And what exactly happened?
It's a given Leda and Grady's cases must be related somehow--but I will keep mum to avoid spoilers. Leda and Grady team up to work with each other, along with the occasional help of Leda's bestfriend, Niki. Leda's psychic hunches and Grady's policework can hopefully lead them to the answers they are looking for.
Leda and Grady make a very unusual team--a generation of differences which stand out more in this novel than the last, but those differences work to their advantage more often than not. I admit there were a couple of times I cringed on Grady's behalf when Leda and Niki overstepped the bounds of the investigation--but that could be more because I relate slightly more to Grady as a character. Leda is a great character in her own right though, and I am always rooting for her.
Like in the last book, Leda's Klairvoyant Karaoke performances were among my favorite moments--I cannot help but wish I could take part in one of her shows! This second book in the series was as funny as the first, the mystery even more tangled (in a good way) and an overall enjoyable read.

When I requested this book, I missed where it said that this was the second installment of a series. Now I have to go back and read the first one because now I'm obsessed. I absolutely love cozy mysteries and this one is perfect. She is a medium and her partner is a dog? Sign me up! I loved and adored everything about this book. I found that the way they found the rest of the body was hilarious and her suggestion on how to get it down was brilliantly funny.
Will be going back for more.
Thank you Netgalley and Atria books

✨Review: Ms. Cherie Priest has done it again! One of my favorite cozy mysteries got a sequel and I could not have been more excited to receive a copy. “Grave Reservations” was one of my top reads last winter so I was SO excited to delve back into the world of part time travel agent, part time psychic Leda Foley, and Detective Grady Merritt.
In this story we get to see a return of our favorite cast of characters as they follow new mysteries of a leg found in a forest, and a missing woman - that of course get intertwined. When things get messy, Leda and Grady know just what to do to get to the bottom of it!
This was a quick read, and the twists and turns definitely kept me on the hook. I can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of the series!

Pick this up not realizing it was the second in a series but oh wow will I pick up the first. I had a great time reading this and loved it. It was exactly what I wanted from a cozy mystery. Plus, I found all the relationships very good and lovable.
Thank you to Netgalley and Atria books for this copy of Flight Risk. Will definitely pick up the physical copy for my own collection.

I love this series! It’s the right mix of psychic/paranormal and mystery! I really hope that this series continues because I love it!!

I love the duo of Grady and Leda (and the dog)!! This was a fun read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Many thanks to Atria and to NetGalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
