This book made me anxious, made me laugh, made me cry and made me mad. I went through all the emotions! The books’ depiction of anxiety and panic attacks was dead on. I had to stop at some points to take deep breaths myself. I found myself wishing I could just help Kat. I thought this was going to be a romance but the romance was secondary and I was fine with that. The story pulled me in. Thank you to NetGalley and Bookiuture Audio for the arc in exchange for my honest review.

Kat has panic attacks and is riddled with anxiety. So on the day she visits the fitness club for the first time, she gets sacked from her job and dumped by her boyfriend. Her anxiety peaks and won't let her leave the fitness club. So she stays. She gets in a lot of cringeworthy situations lying about what she is doing there, spends an awful lot of time self analysing, and is really so self centred she can't see anyone has problems. Befriending a little girl in the daycare centre finally makes her aware of someone other than herself.

This attempted to create humor from awkward situations - they just came across as awkward. The narrative was not very fluid, as though attempting too much at once.
Because I did not care for the plot, I couldn't get into the narrator.

"Come Here Often?" is a light read that focuses on the experience of Kat, who is unable to leave the gym after losing both her job and long-term boyfriend, all in the span of a few hours. The book is a poignant exploration of the impact of anxiety on an individual's daily life and the challenges faced when seeking help, as well as the impact it has on the relationships with people in our lives.

The writing style of the book is light-hearted and engaging, with a focus on Kat’s inner thoughts and emotions. While the book deals with a serious issue, it manages to balance the heavy subject matter with humor and wit, making for an enjoyable read. The audio narrator’s effort with reflecting Kat's emotional struggles and the support from those around her.

Overall, "Come Here Often?" is a great book that provides insight into the experience of living with anxiety. The story is well-written, with a relatable protagonist and a writing style that balances the serious subject matter with humor. The book serves as a reminder that seeking support can be scary, but it is an important step towards healing and finding peace.

I always have high hopes for a book featuring a romcom centered around body positivity, but this one fell flat.
It was too slow in places and repetitive.

ahhh this was swoon worthy! I loved the chemistry between the characters and their character development was incredible. I highly recommend this one.

Not the one for me. I honestly think I was able to finish this because it was an audio. The plot and writing could have been edited better.

Looking for a light-hearted read, I picked up this book, however, it sadly did not deliver on the light-hearted part of the promise at all.

From the start, I found myself not liking the main character. As she describes herself, she is a brat. I did feel a little bit sorry for her when she had the worst of all days, losing both her job and her partner in one go, however, there just wasn't enough to make we care any more than that.

The story itself was well-written, and i did like the author's writing style, so will definitely try another book.

The narrator had a great voice - it was rich and warm and full of emotion, which i thoroughly enjoyed listening to.

This was a laugh loud fantastic audiobook. The narration was on point, the messages throughout were positive and encouraging. I couldn’t get enough!

This wasn't the most gripping of audiobooks in all honesty.

I found the story very slow and nothing really out of the ordinary.

Disappointing for me. but it may be different for other readers/listeners. Having read and listened to many books in this genre, it just didn't stand out.

(I missed my time for downloading the arc so I got my own copy)

This is a book about a woman called Kat who goes to the gym one day and ends up single and jobless. She's suddenly struck with intense anxiety and finds she can;t leave the gym. She then decides she'll just live at the gym. Kat's head for the most of this book and living her anxiety with her. I found it hard to listen to as it was a situation where she really needed professional help.

I think a cover change is something needed for this book as the current one sends the wrong idea. If it was advertised different I think it would've been received a lot better.

I loved this audiobook. As someone who suffers from agoraphobia and anxiety I totally related with this character.

There was so many cute moments and really funny ones too. It made me want to join a gym but only one with a bar, restaurant and salon.

I personally was not a fan of this book, and I think the voice of the narrator did very little to improve the experience. The storyline felt rehashed from other rom-com novels and the pacing was not great either. I found it very difficult to finish and had to force myself to complete it.

Thank you NetGalley, Bookouture Audio, and Ellie Center for this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

I enjoyed Come Here Often? more than I had expected to. At first glance of the cover, you would think this might be a rom-com story, but it wasn't. I could relate to Kat in so many ways which I helped me connect to her and her story. I loved that the story touched on real-life every day issues that many of us face, especially anxiety. I found myself laughing out loud quite a few times, too. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a cleanser after reading too many over-the-top romance novels and keep-you-on-your-toes thrillers.

Kat is me. While I wouldn't ever live in a gym, her essence I relate to so well. I love the gym jokes, the fact that food sounds way better than exercising and I loved the romance aspect. It was about healing, dealing with the mental health aspect with her anxiety, and just coming to terms with that you are okay as you are.

This is Kat's story of change. It is her day of change and the first time she visit's a health club.
Kat was always a person who thought exercise wasn't for her. The day she enters the health club she is fired from her job. When she calls her boyfriend to inform about this, he breaks up their years of relationship with her before even listening to a word.

All this happens while she is in the health club. This triggers her anxiety and she finds it difficult to get out of the club and face reality.

5 Word Review: Anxiety, lies, belonging, exercise, resilience.

I had so much fun reading this book - it's the perfect comedy to brighten your day, or even your week.

I picked up the audiobook on a Saturday morning as a companion for my chores and accidentally listened to it all instead of saving some for my commute. The performance by Kate Handford was excellent, she really brought Kat to life.

Kat very quickly burrowed under my skin. I felt for her so much, and the portrayal of her anxiety At the beginning I was like oh no, Kat but by the end I was cheering for her. The ups and downs of the story and Kat's position had me on the edge of my seat. Kat is so driven, and so good, and so scared. And I feel that.

This book had me examining my relationship with my body, exercise and alcohol. Kat is prone to using alcohol as a crutch for her anxiety and err... Guilty as charged.

This book was so freaking motivating. I'm recovering from Covid and this gave me that push to jump back in to movement. Unlike Kat, I'm not signing myself up to a swanky gym, I just don't have the money. But I did start a new Fitness Blender program, and that's exactly what I needed.

The ending tugged at my heart strings so much, and my heart soared for Kat and all that she had accomplished. Come Here Often? is the perfect pick-me-up when you're feeling down.

I really struggled with this audiobook.
I didn’t take to the narrator which was my own fault, but it probably had done bearing on the end result for me.

I was expecting a romance from the cover, which initially drew me in, but it wasn’t at all what I expected.

I’m sorry
